Island legislators told there is no evidence PLA is massing troops despite repeated drills and intimidation flights
Premier Su Tseng-chang says Taiwans people will tenaciously defend themselves and their land
There are no signs that China is preparing for all-out war with Taiwan, such as massing troops along its eastern coast, the Taiwanese defence chief said on Tuesday, after repeated drills by the mainlands military near the island.
Taiwan has denounced mainland Chinas manoeuvres, including flying fighter jets over the sensitive median line of the Taiwan Strait, as an attempt at intimidation.
The Chinese communists have continued their acts of provocation against Taiwan, but there are currently no signs showing it is ready to launch a full-scale war, Defence Minister Yen Te-fa told legislators on the island.
One sign of an imminent attack would be troops from inland parts of China massing along its east, but there were no indications that was happening, he added.

Premier Su Tseng-chang says Taiwans people will tenaciously defend themselves and their land
Just like Austria in 1938.
The people will greet the PLA with flowers.
All China needs to do is continue their policy of funding the Democratic Party and its terrorist wing (BLM and Antifa) and their won’t be a _United_ States of America to stop them.
Is the U.S. going to go to war with China to defend Taiwan?
That was not carefully translated into English-I’m pretty sure they mean that Yen Te-fa is Minister of Defense-”defence” is a thing that separates one property from another...
Aside from that, it looks like Taiwan better be ready for anything...
Is the U.S. going to go to war with China to defend Taiwan?
Dont be ridiculous.
I support Taiwan, and I feel some of our treatment of them since 1972 is just plane wrong, but I don’t see the U.S. getting into a war with China in their back yard.
China will seek first to gain a foothold by subversion and infiltration. The war when it begins will be cyber attack and electronic warfare followed by blockade and bombardment. There will be no massing of invasion troops until well into the conflict, and only if bullying coercive diplomacy fails. When and if it reaches that point we will intervene and destroy assault forces by means of naval and air interdiction.
Yes. The Chinese will begin a limited nuclear exchange that will cripple an immediate theater response, but claim it was a mistake by a rogue general.
Trump will ignore the "Beautiful Lie" and sever Chinese command-and-control surgically.
It all unwinds after then.

If you’re serious you’re a moron.
Are you nuts?
The war is here.
Taiwan would kick chinas butt. It would be like walking up to pet a grizzly cub with momma nearby. I’ve spent enough time in Taiwan and talked to several different military people.
The first thing they would do is take out the Three Gorges Dam. That scares the Hell out of china.
British vs American spelling of the same word.
It would have been nice if instead of 20 years focused on becoming a great Asian land power we had remembered that we were supposed to be the world's premier sea-power and focused on our policy of being able to destroy any fleet any time in any ocean. You can hate Obama and you can hate Clinton, but you really have to hate GW and the globalists and neocons.
We are a maritime nation. Our natural friends and allies are our trading partners at the ends of our SLOCs.
