  • Vanity: Shameful Appearance by US Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-Mn) on "This Week"

US Senator Amy Klobuchar, the failed Democratic presidential candidate from Minnesota, was on "This Week with George Stephanopoulos" shilling for Joe Biden's campaigning and making outrageous and false statements about President Trump using Democratic talking points. It was hard to flag all of the lies and distortions, but one really took the prize: Klobuchar claimed that Trump had advised the public "to chug bleach" to kill the COVID-19 virus. Of course, Trump never said any such thing, but Stephanopoulos made no attempt to correct any of Klobuchar's falsehoods. Maybe Klobuchar imagines herself as the Vice Presidential pick for "Clueless Joe."

... The April 14 Patch Tuesday updates included fixes for a total of 133 vulnerabilities, including seven critical security flaws in Windows 10. I have always said that users need to take the fixing of security vulnerabilities very seriously indeed. When new research suggests that the average Windows 10 PC has no less than 14 weaponized vulnerabilities, that is ones with known exploits in case you were wondering, that seriousness is reinforced... ...First things first, given the sheer number of Windows 10 users out there, the number of people complaining of these issues, in the hundreds, is relatively small. This...

The Center for American Liberty, in coordination with the Dhillon Law Group, filed a First Amendment lawsuit against Governor Gavin Newsom, California Attorney General Xavier Becerra, and named county officials, in the United States District Court for the Central District of California, for criminalizing the free exercise of religion. The suit comes days after the Center for American Liberty threatened County Supervisors with such a lawsuit. In response, both San Bernardino County and Riverside Counties made limited accommodations for practicing Christians on Easter weekend only. Today's suit, Gish v. Newsom, demands religious liberty beyond Easter Sunday. Among clients represented is...

Who the hell are these politicians to imperiously decide who’s “essential” and who’s not? Non-essential, they hiss, pointing a finger at you. Non-essential! If you’re non-essential, these tinpot dictators with their catastrophically wrong “models” tell you, stay home. Lose your job, your business, your life. What the hell do they care? You’ll take it and you’ll like it! Nicht wahr? As certain Germans used to say. Isn’t that so? Jawohl! They’ve got theirs, Jack. And it comes with State Police chauffeurs. They’re just trying to do the Reich, I mean right thing. At long last, finally, working people are starting...

Gov. Tom Wolf’s former business, a cabinet supply company in central Pennsylvania, has continued operating during the coronavirus shutdown despite having its waiver rescinded by state officials, PA Post and Spotlight PA have learned. Last week, in response to questions from the news organizations about how the company qualified as “life-sustaining,” the governor’s office said in a statement that a waiver that had been issued to Wolf Home Products allowing it to stay open would be revoked, forcing it to close.

The signature train belonging to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has been spotted on satellite images parked at a station on the nation's eastern coast since last week, according to a U.S. monitor, as questions swirl over the dictator's health. Since Kim missed an April 15 commemoration of the 108th birthday of his grandfather, North Korea founder Kim Il Sung, unverified reports have emerged about his health. On Sunday, a key aide to the president of South Korea insisted Kim, who is believed to be 36, was "alive and well." "Our government position is firm," Chung-in Moon, foreign policy...

Democratic leaders in Congress continued on Sunday to remain quiet on the sexual assault allegations leveled against their party’s presumptive presidential nominee Joe Biden, even as anger over the accusations mounted from the party’s more progressive wing. Neither House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., nor Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., have made any public comment about the allegations by Tara Reade, a staffer for Biden in 1993, that the then-senator from Delaware sexually assaulted her. Pelosi and Schumer’s offices did not return Fox News request for comment. There is growing anger from both progressive Democrats and supporters of the #MeToo...

Every time you think the American news media could not possibly become more depraved and corrupt, they go and fool you again. – Let’s go around the horn – as all the baseball players used to day back when America still had baseball – and take a little review of some of the highlights of despicable, corrupt media behavior over the past couple of days… Example #1: It’s the question that doesn’t get asked that reveals the corruption. Guests on the various Sunday morning fake news shows included Georgia Gubernatorial loooooooser Stacey Abrams, Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar and fascist Michigan...

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) repeatedly criticized President Donald Trump’s decision to halt flights to and from China. In fact, she led her Democratic colleagues in calling the president a xenophobe and a racist for making such a decision. “One point of clarification I was wondering. Vice President Joe Biden’s campaign told me earlier this month that he supported President Trump’s partial travel restrictions on January 31st, blocking foreign nationals from China coming to the United States,” CNN’s Jake Tapper said on Sunday. “Do you agree that it was the right move by President Trump at the time?” “… Actually,...

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump’s erratic handling of the coronavirus outbreak, the worsening economy and a cascade of ominous public and private polling have Republicans increasingly nervous that they are at risk of losing the presidency and the Senate if Trump does not put the nation on a radically improved course. The scale of the GOP’s challenge has crystallized in the last week. With 26 million Americans now having filed for unemployment benefits, Trump’s standing in states that he carried in 2016 looks increasingly wobbly: New surveys show him trailing significantly in battleground states like Michigan and Pennsylvania, and he...
  • Why does India, with over a billion people, have so few Covid-19 cases and deaths?

India is four times more populous than the US, but has just 2% the number of cases and only 1.5% of the number of Covid-19 deaths. How has the country, whose per capita income is just tenth of the US, avoided being flattened by the pandemic? There are four possible explanations: 1. The epidemic may have struck later than in other countries. Since epidemics have exponential growth at the start, a small delay can have massive effects on the number of cases. 2. India’s 21-day lockdown may have successfully suppressed the epidemic. Physical distancing is one of the best ways...

During a crisis, state and local governments have the ability to make severe mandates in attempts to resolve the situation. The coronavirus crisis has plagued many states around the country, prompting some of them to engage in draconian measures they justify for the sake of public health. But the additional powers they have during emergencies must be tightly tailored, and former acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker believes some have taken their lockdowns too far. As the coronavirus death toll climbs in Michigan — 540 as of Saturday (04 April 20) — another grim number will never be known: The dead who go uncounted as casualties of the worst pandemic in a century.“I don’t know if our fatalities would be twice as many or 10 times as high, and we won’t know until we have ready access to tests,” said Dr. Russell Faust, medical director of Oakland County’s health division. Because of a nationwide shortage of tests, there are few efforts to test the dead for coronavirus, especially for those who are elderly or have underlying conditions. The...

Ready or not, America is opening back up. The process that began in recent days with back-in-business nail salons and unbarred sandy beaches in a scattering of states is poised to accelerate over the coming week across wide swaths of the country. After shutting down much of American life in March and keeping people home throughout April, governors are preparing to lift restrictions as the calendar turns to May — and cross their fingers that the novel coronavirus doesn’t come roaring back. In Tennessee, customers will be able to sit down for meals in restaurants starting Monday. In Missouri, the...

One day after The West Wind All Digital Drive-In Movie Theater in North Las Vegas re-opened, following the COVID 19 shutdown Thursday night, Gov. Sisolak ordered them to cease and desist operations. After obtaining permission to re-open from local authorities, West Wind required movie goers to park 10 feet apart, stay in their cars except to use the restroom, where only one person at a time was allowed in. Concession stands remained closed. Facebook page issued the following statement: “We had received formal approval to reopen the Las Vegas Drive-In with certain operating restrictions and we complied. Language barriers were a key issue at the Smithfield meat processing plant that was shuttered earlier this month after a coronavirus outbreak infected 800 employees, according to a report from the Centers for Disease control and Prevention. The CDC report issued this week criticized a number of practices at the plant in Sioux Falls, which processed 5 percent of the nation's pork before it was shuttered indefinitely on April 15. The massive plant employing 3,500 is just one of a dozen American meat packing plants to shut down this month after outbreaks, spurring pork and beef shortages and higher prices...

North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un is 'alive and well', a South Korean official has said. Foreign policy adviser Chung-in Moon said his government's position is firmly that the despot is not dead. The aide said Kim had been living in the Wonsan area of the country since April 13, adding to Fox: 'No suspicious movements have so far been detected.' Rumours of his death emerged from the vice director of Hong Kong Satellite Television Shijian Xingzou, who claimed a 'very solid source' told her Kim was dead. She has 15million followers on Chinese social media Weibo, and is also the...

Californians struggling to make ends meet during extended coronavirus shutdowns were not amused when their governor, Gavin Newsom, announced the creation of a public-private partnership to give away $125 million ($500/person) in pandemic relief grants to illegal immigrants who are ineligible to receive unemployment benefits or federal stimulus checks (because they are not here legally, duh). Newsom further explained that of the $125 million in funding, $75 million would come from taxpayer funds (without explaining any legislative process appropriating such funds) and that “a group of charities” had promised to chip in $50 million.  -snip On April 22 Ricardo Benitez, a legal...
