After a few days of not going out, I saw someone I knew walking by on the sidewalk outside.
I immediately ran to the window and started yelling to them.
Now I understand dogs.

What kind of dog?
I had an old beagle that would just sleep all day. My German Shepard is always on patrol.

The issue would have stayed local. Dogs don’t drive, Don’t travel in ships or fly. It is our unrivaled ability to get around that let’s a germ go global quickly.

How often do you see dogs try (and sometimes succeed) at getting out of the yard?

Looking around my neighborhood, Im thinking that maybe dogs orchestrated this whole thing.
To: djf
We are surrounded by barking dogs in our neighborhood, but since the lockdown we rarely hear them. Kids and families giving them lots of attention I presume.

Our dog just prior to our current one, may she rest in peace, was always looking for a way out of the gate and fence. She walked along the fence LOOKING for a weak spot. She was a rat terrier mix, full of energy and life and I still cry thinking about her. She was only a year and a half when she passed.
