For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: (I Peter 3:18)We have had a very basic look at the Law of God, the Ten Commandments. God has given us his Law, and it is holy, Just and Good. But we have all failed to keep it in perfection. The law is beautiful as an instruction, and as a Revelation of God. It is also a look at what we were actually created to be like. The...

What is currently trending on Facebook, in Canada, is the lack of facemasks. They blame Trump for taking care of his country first. My response to them has been to ask, "Why did Trudeau not take steps to address the shortage before the pandemic?"

Certain media outlets should stop spreading false rumors and creating fear and even panic with the public,” Trump said. The president commented to reporters during the White House press briefing on Saturday afternoon. “I could name them, but it’s always the same ones, I guess they’re looking for ratings, I don’t know what they’re looking for,” Trump said, calling it “so bad for our country and so bad for the world.” The president reminded reporters that they had the lowest approval ratings of anyone during the crisis. “You got to put it together for a little while,” Trump said. “Get...

Most people do not realize that the greatest contributions to life expectancy and quality of life have been very simple: clean water, sanitation, prevention through vaccinations, and quarantine. But you have to know when someone has a disease in order to isolate them. We have a considerable advantage nowadays in terms of sophisticated testing as well as the ability to test broadly. We missed that boat and it is costing us dearly – not only in morbidity and mortality, but also in economic terms. Time is adding to the human death toll, but it is also setting us up for...

PALM SUNDAY Matthew 21.1 - 11 1 And when they drew nigh unto Jerusalem, and were come to Bethphage, unto the mount of Olives, then sent Jesus two disciples, 2 Saying unto them, Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose them, and bring them unto me. 3 And if any man say ought unto you, ye shall say, The Lord hath need of them; and straightway he will send them. 4 All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was...

President Trump on Saturday warned that the United States is approaching what could be the country’s roughest stretch yet amid the escalating coronavirus outbreak while saying that the country can’t stay closed forever. “This will be probably the toughest week, between this week and next week,” Mr. Trump said at the White House daily briefing on the COVID-19 outbreak. “There [will] be a lot of death, unfortunately.” Mr. Trump spoke as the number of coronavirus cases in the U.S. jumped above 300,000. There have been more than 8,200 coronavirus-related deaths in the U.S. and more than 14,500 people have recovered,...

As the CPP virus swipes through the United States, much attention has been paid to the situation in large cities. That’s not, however, where the rate of infection has been the highest. The epidemic has been the most concentrated in three suburbs around New York City as well as in New Orleans. While New York City has the highest number of confirmed cases, over 57,000, when counted per capita, the worst hit is Rockland County, a neighboring suburb of some 325,000 on the west side of the Hudson River. More than one in 67 Rockland residents has tested positive, a...

While countries around the world began to lock down workplaces, schools, and public gatherings in response to the rapidly spreading coronavirus, the United Kingdom’s initial strategy sent many into an uproar.... The strategy, an attempt to build “herd immunity,” involved allowing “enough of us who are going to get mild illness to become immune,” Sir Patrick Vallance, the U.K. government’s chief scientific adviser... After new simulations of the outbreak from Imperial College London showed how badly hospitals would be overwhelmed, the U.K. suddenly reversed course on Monday and introduced new social distancing measures... Still, the question of herd immunity’s role...

President Trump on Saturday said he might personally take a drug cocktail he has talked up as a potential treatment for COVID-19 patients, though he has twice tested negative for the virus. “I may take it, OK? I’ll have to ask my doctors about that, but I may take it,” Mr. Trump said at the White House. The president has talked up the potential for hydroxychloroquine, an anti-malaria drug, in combination with other antibiotics, to treat people suffering from the coronavirus.

Former VP Joe Biden bizarrely suggested that Donald Trump was holding-up relief efforts to “put his signature on a physical check.” “No American should have to wait a single minute so Donald Trump can put his signature on a physical check,” said Biden. Former VP Joe Biden bizarrely suggested that Donald Trump was holding-up relief efforts to “put his signature on a physical check.” “No American should have to wait a single minute so Donald Trump can put his signature on a physical check,” said Biden. Someone really needs to let Joe Biden give this whole thing up already. He’s...

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) expressed his disgust at “Trump’s unpresidential response to my criticism of his failures. Rather than graciously acknowledge his deficiencies and resign from office, he defended his leadership during the COVID-19 crisis, corrected my so-called inaccuracies, and called me a bad senator.” Trump rebutted the Senator’s criticisms by pointing out that “his demand that I appoint a ‘czar’ to lead us in this crisis conveniently ignores the fact that Vice-President Pence has already been appointed to head up our effort and that Rear Admiral John Polowczyk is in charge of purchasing and distributing medical supplies....

Kentucky officials are warning residents of fake coronavirus testing sites in the Louisville area, according to the Louisville Courier Journal. Medical marketing companies offering coronavirus tests, including one that promises results in 24 hours, have charged people up to $250 per test. "It's a scam," Metro Council President David James told local broadcaster WDRB. "They would test somebody and use the same gloves they used on the person before. They get your $240 dollars plus they can turn in fake Medicaid claims."

We live very close to the Louisiana state line. So close, that to get to a small Texas town south of us, the shortest way is to go through a part of Louisiana. On a trip to that small town south of us today, my wife encountered several Texas DPS officers on US 84 stopping out of state cars with Louisiana tags. It appears governor Abbot is enforcing the ban on non-essential people coming from Louisiana to Texas.

The night had been particularly tough. Patient after patient had to be intubated and put on a ventilator to breathe. At one point, three “codes” — emergency interventions when someone is on the brink of death — occurred at once. Dr. Joshua Rosenberg, a critical care doctor, arrived the next morning at the Brooklyn Hospital Center. Within hours, he was racing down the stairwell from the main intensive care unit on the sixth floor to a temporary one on the third, where he passed one of his favorite medical students. “Shouldn’t you be home?” he asked, registering surprise. Clinical rotations...

A few days ago we revealed how Zoom's end-to-end encryption is not actually what users would expect from such kind of encryption as the company still had the ability to access the calls taking place. Followed by that news, SpaceX issued a statement that they are banning the use of Zoom, and their workers will now rely on emails, texts, and phone calls to conduct any business. Needless to say, Zoom was already in hot waters as the service is now being used all over the world because of the work from home situation, and in these dire times, a...
