WASHINGTON - President Donald Trump is expected to relax ambitious Obama-era vehicle mileage standards and raise the ceiling on damaging fossil fuel emissions for years to come, gutting one of the United States’ single-biggest efforts against climate change. The Trump administration is expected to release a final rule Tuesday on mileage standards through 2026, watering down a tough Obama mileage standard that would have encouraged automakers globally to ramp up production of electric vehicles and more fuel-efficient gasoline vehicles. Trump’s Cabinet heads have continued a push to rollback public health and environment regulations despite the coronavirus outbreak riveting the world’s...

President Donald Trump issued a blistering signing statement over the weekend making it clear that he is calling the shots, not House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer. Congress passed a massive $2 trillion coronavirus stimulus compromise package last week and the president signed the measure into law, which will bring relief to individuals, small businesses, and larger corporations. Soon after that, Pelosi and Schumer ran to the media and began publicly bragging about how they were able to put strict oversight provisions into the stimulus bill. Turns out, the two top Democrats spoke too soon as...

Well, I've resisted the obvious for the last two or three weeks, mainly because, as with "Kung Flu Fighting", I had some previous history with it. In the case of "Kung Fu Fighting", I've been using it as a somewhat improbable free-speech anthem for a decade or so; in the case of this song, I managed to turn it into the sub-title to a bestseller on demographic doom: It's The End Of The World As We Know It It's The End Of The World As We Know It It's The End Of The World As We Know It And I...

The Arizona woman who said that she and her 68-year-old husband ingested a substance used to clean fish tanks after hearing President Donald Trump tout chloroquine as a cure for the coronavirus has given thousands of dollars to Democratic groups and candidates over the last two years. The woman's most recent donations, in late February, were to a Democratic PAC, the 314 Action Fund, that bills itself as the "pro-science resistance" and has vocally criticized the Trump administration's response to the coronavirus pandemic and held up her case to slam the White House. Wanda told the Free Beacon that she...

9.4k Shares 7.3k SHARE 973 SHARE SHARE BACKWATERTON, AR—Local man Rayford Williams has been in a coma for the past month, so he was excited to get back to his church family. Unfortunately, he was totally unaware of the COVID-19 outbreak, which has caused most churches to move their services online. "Oh man," he said as he walked into the empty church building on Sunday, assuming he had missed the Rapture. "I knew I should have paid more attention to that Kirk Cameron movie." Luckily, the church had prepared for such an occasion with a pamphlet titled "So You've Been...

Rep. Nydia Velazquez said Monday she's been "diagnosed with presumed coronavirus infection," three days after she spoke on the House floor and stood near 80-year-old House Speaker Nancy Pelosi during the signing of the $2.2 trillion coronavirus stimulus bill. In a statement, the Democrat from New York said she first started feeling sick "in the wee hours of Sunday morning." "I developed the abrupt onset of muscle aches, fevers, nasal congestion and stomach upset. I noticed that I could no longer smell my perfume or taste my food. After speaking with The Attending Physician by phone, I was diagnosed with...

ORLANDO, Fla. – Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) on Monday announced that he is issuing a stay-at-home order for the southern portion of the state as the number of positive coronavirus cases grows. The order will apply to Broward, Miami-Dade, Palm Beach and Monroe counties through the middle of May. “The ‘Safer-At-Home’ [order] is the right move for southeast Florida,” DeSantis said at a press conference at the Hard Rock Stadium, just north of Miami. “This is the time to do the right thing. Listen to all of your local officials.” “We will do this through the middle of May,...

Each time I try to amend the grocery order, the website falls over, punch-drunk and exhausted. For a few terrifying minutes, it flounders. Then it stands up again and refreshes...When the madness passes, which it will, because all things do, I hope we remember how the supermarket staff really served us. It’s ironic how many of us slagged off these places for decades, told the masses to avoid them. Let’s all eat risottos of foraged acorns made with small-batch artisan butter from our bi-weekly farmers’ market! And then this happened, and the Aldi car park is full of Audis jam-packed...

Dr. Anthony Fauci explained the moment President Donald Trump decided he needed to extend the social distancing mandate because of the novel coronavirus during a CNN interview Monday morning. Trump changed his mind Sunday on his original plan to re-open America by Easter, announcing that the social distancing guidelines would be extended through the end of April. Fauci, the chief medical advisor to the coronavirus task force, explained on “New Day With Alisyn Camerota and John Berman” that Trump listened and “got it right away” after being shown the data. Fauci also said Trump’s “first goal is to prevent suffering...

I am posting this on the News Forum because it seemed very newsworthy to me. The first few minutes are about Netanyahu and events in Israel. The important part follows, about U.S. troop movements, the virus in Iran, and what is happening in Syria. There may be some military action there, and it is possible our embassy in Baghdad will be destroyed. Only the last 10 minutes have a religious point of view, so the mods may choose to move this to the Religion Forum. I hope not. Everyone who chooses not to see religious content can just turn it...

Student athletes from the five power conferences — the ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, Pac-12 and SEC — make up the SAAC.

A woman asked Biden (who was speaking from his basement TV studio): "If elected as our next president, what dollar amount will you set as our new national living wage? And what will you do to ensure that every worker has paid sick leave?" Biden responded: "Well, number one, I would ensure every worker had paid sick leave, period, and across the board. And it should be up to 14 weeks' paid sick leave."

PHILADELPHIA, PA—In an effort to make their candidate seem relevant, the Biden campaign has announced a new podcast that will be available exclusively on vinyl. Every week, Biden will release short soundbite updates that will be pressed on 45s, while his longer, feature-length podcast will be on full-size 33-1/3 records. "Every day after school, when you gather with your chums to listen to records, why not give my podcast a spin?" Biden said in a speech. "You're down at the hop, doo-woppin' with all the cool cats, and maybe they'll think you're square for wantin' to spin a record from...

he Florida governor, Ron DeSantis, has said passengers on a coronavirus-stricken cruise trip cannot be “dumped” in his state, casting further doubt over where two vessels carrying hundreds of people will be allowed to dock. Four people have died and dozens of people are sick with flu-like symptoms on the Zaandam cruise ship, which is currently traveling towards Florida after passing through the Panama canal with its sister ship – the Rotterdam – where asymptomatic passengers have been moved.

On Friday March 20, MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow said President Trump was lying when he said the U.S. Navy hospital ships would arrive in Los Angeles and New York City in the near future. Exactly a week later, the USNS Mercy arrived in the Port of Los Angeles. “There is no sign that the Navy hospital ships that the President made such a big deal of — the ‘Comfort’ and the ‘Mercy’ — there’s no sign that they’ll be anywhere on sight helping anywhere in the country for weeks yet,” Maddow said. She highlighted Trump’s announcement that the “Comfort” and the...

I'm not saying it's today (the end times) - but we are living at the end of the church age (IMHO). Yes, ever since the fathers fell asleep all things continue as they were. I already know that's coming, LOL. Not all may believe this. YMMV. Oh well. I was trying to find the show I saw today (many of them are repeat broadcasts so yes, this one is from last year). Today's show (not sure this is it) he talked about the men of Sodom trying to rape the angels of God. They wanted to rape them. In today's...
