Last week I wrote about how the second wealthiest county in the United States was engaged in Leftist income redistribution - taking money from the poor and dropping it into the pockets of the wealthy. There were a few other points that my original post missed. If you missed my original post (linked above), Fairfax County's school district is moving to replace its regular school buses with electric powered school buses. Initial efforts to get the state to use it via a tax dollar wealth transfer was saved by a grant of energy dollars from Dominion Power. One obvious problem...

SEATTLE - The novel coronavirus tightened its grip on Washington state Tuesday, with nine deaths reported and at least 25 total cases confirmed statewide. Eight deaths have been reported in King County, and one in Snohomish County, health officials said. One of the deaths confirmed Tuesday happened six days ago at Harborview Medical Center, but the coronavirus diagnosis wasn't made until well after the person's death, said Harborview spokesperson Susan Gregg.

By Hassan Mahmoudi Before the parliamentary election, Raisi, head of Iran’s judiciary, accompanied by several judges paid a visit to Shar-e-Rey women’s prison. Raisi was a member of the “four-person death committee” during the mass execution of political prisoners in Iran in the summer of 1988. The visit, which was just a week before the parliamentary elections, was intended to be a propaganda act boosting the morale of those still loyal to the regime. About 6 months ago, the same prisoners who were visited by Raisi on 14 February had written a letter to the regime’s authority in charge of...

RUSH: Now, to give you another example of how the Democrat Party is losing it and is imploding, a two-minute sound bite today. This morning on the Fox News Channel, America’s Newsroom, Donna Brazile appeared (she’s the Democrat National Committee’s former chairwoman, whatever; she’s still head honcho, still thinks she runs the Democrat Party in many ways) with Ronna McDaniel of the Republican National Committee, and here it goes. Listen carefully… MCDANIEL: It’s leading towards, potentially, a brokered convention, which will be rigged against Bernie if those superdelegates have their way on that second vote. SMITH: To that you say...

Doctors in the West may not be as good as ones in China at keeping coronavirus patients alive, a World Health Organization expert has said. Dr Bruce Aylward, head of a WHO COVID-19 fact-finding mission in China, praised the 'sophisticated health care' being used in the nation. Chinese doctors are 'really good' at keeping patients alive because they 'find cases fast, get them isolated, in treatment, and supported early', he said. And Dr Aylward lauded Beijing' use of life-support machines to replace a patient's lung function if ventilation fails to help. While praising China, he admitted the country's death rate...

Stocks fell sharply in volatile trading on Tuesday as an emergency rate cut by the Federal Reserve failed to assuage concerns of slower economic growth due to the coronavirus outbreak. The decision to cut rates by half a percentage point came two weeks before the Fed’s scheduled meeting as the central bank felt it was necessary to act quickly to combat the effect of the virus spreading worldwide. It’s the first such emergency action coming in between scheduled meetings since the financial crisis. The Dow Jones Industrial Average traded 950 points lower, or 3.6%, after rising more than 300 points...

Dramatic police bodycam video shows the moment former “ER” actress Vanessa Marquez was gunned down by police during a “welfare” check on the actress in California. The video, published by TMZ Tuesday, opens with an unidentified police officer trying to coax Marquez to go to the hospital in August 2018 after her South Pasadena landlord raised concerns about her wellbeing. Marquez, 49, who said she had a seizure, is seen sitting on a disheveled bed and looking down at her mobile phone while the cop pleads with her. “We’ve already had this discussion and it’s beyond that now, OK?” the...

It is amazing what has happened to our wheat products in a few short decades. In efforts to increase yield, improve shelf life, and enhance our appetites, modern food producers have taken a staple of our diet (breads and grains) that humans have consumed for millennia with little or no health issues, and turned it into a "Frankenfood". Bread, which was a cheap, nutritious way to fill our stomachs for thousands of years, is now potentially the cause of obesity and a variety of inflammatory diseases. A look at the processes we use to grow, harvest, mill, refine, enrich, and...

RUSH: Okay, folks. I’m sorry it took me so long to figure this out, but I have now figured it out. I know what’s going on in the Democrat Party and I’m embarrassed I didn’t see it before last night. I saw it last night, began to get the rumblings of it when Klobuchar, Buttigieg gave up and decided to join Plugs. And then Plugs goes and gets Beto O’Rourke and makes him minister of getting guns out of people’s hands. I saw what’s going on last night. I’ll just give it to you, in a nutshell. The Democrat Party...

Former FBI Director James Comey on Super Tuesday endorsed former Vice President Joe Biden in the Democratic primary, but Biden's campaign cheekily asked to "return" the endorsement. “Yes, customer service? I just received a package that I very much did not order,” Andrew Bates, director of rapid response for Biden’s campaign wrote on Twitter in response to Comey's endorsement. “How can I return it, free of charge?” Comey, who left the Republican Party over Trump in 2018, voted in his first Democratic primary on Tuesday, tweeting that he supports the party "dedicated to restoring values” to the White House. He...

He’s gone! After 23 years at CNBC and MSNBC, Chris Matthews has “retired” from as Hardball host. But it wasn’t his multitude of nasty attacks on conservatives and sycophantic praise of liberal pols that did him in, but his years of suggestive comments to women that finally caught up to him.

James Woods is one of the most savage people on Twitter and he just revealed a video showing Joe Biden being caught in lies many years ago. It contains lies about Biden's education and it dates back to his younger years. Biden ranked very low in his law class according to this video.

By Gavin van Marle (The Loadstar) – Freight forwarders sending goods out of Europe to Asia face one of the tightest capacity crunches in living memory over the next few weeks. CMA CGM is set to blank 23 North Europe-Asia sailings from now until 2 June, after last week announcing three further deepsea sailings in the middle of this month had been cancelled, “due to recent demand slowdown in the context of the coronavirus situation”. This month alone, 15 eastbound sailings will not take place as scheduled, and the line said the cancellations were affecting its north-south services that relay...

The Minnesota Department of Health is investigating one possible case of coronavirus. A spokesperson with MDH said the department is waiting for test results from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The department said the person had traveled abroad, however, did not specify where they had visited. According to MDH, the person has isolated themselves from others. If the test comes back positive, the department said the person will stay quarantined, the people he or she has been in contact with recently will be contacted, and they'll also be quarantined. MDH added there may be additional requirements....

A new book by former First Lady Barbara Bush, published posthumously, gives fresh insight into her historic romance with former President George H. W. Bush. In Pearls of Wisdom: Little Pieces of Advice (That Go a Long Way), released Tuesday, their son Jeb Bush remembers an interaction between his parents shortly before his mother’s death in April 2018 — one that brought the attending hospital staff to tears. “The last time my mom went into the hospital, I think Dad got sick on purpose so he could be with her. That’s my theory, at least, because literally a day later...

RUSH: Folks, look. I have been struggling since last night. I accidentally saw the town hall on the Fox News Channel with Bloomberg. And I’m gonna tell you, I have been struggling for a way to politely describe what I saw last night. And I don’t know that I can do it. I’ve been struggling for polite ways to describe what I think, what I saw last night as a real shortage of IQ and brain power and self-awareness. I saw a guy who thinks he’s the Beatles who is barely Cyndi Lauper. I saw a guy who thinks the...

Excerpted from article. Two months after the outbreak of the coronavirus, #TrumpVirus began trending on Twitter. Why? Because it’s the only chance that the Democrats have of winning back the White House in 2020. Saddled with broken primaries whose nominee, after a possible brokered convention, will either be a Socialist who admires Communists, a senile lecher who admires young girls, or a billionaire who admires power, the coronavirus is a much more effective candidate than Sanders, Biden, or Bloomberg. The media will spend all its time bashing President Trump, Pence, assorted cabinet members, and perhaps the CDC, without ever...

Roughly 10% of the members on Iran’s parliament have contracted the coronavirus. Iranian state media reported on Tuesday that 23 lawmakers have tested positive for the mysterious illness, according to USA Today. The head of Iran’s emergency services has also been infected, as has the country's health minister and a vice president who was the spokeswoman of the 1979 hostage crisis. The virus has killed a close adviser to Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the country's former ambassador to the Vatican, and a member of parliament. Many of Iran’s top officials contracted the illness while foreign governments accused the...
