The 46-year-old man from New Jersey died in a "serious incident" on February 13, Vail Mountain said in the statement. It began when the man boarded the Skyline Express lift on chair 37 in the Blue Sky Basin, the statement said. He then fell through an opening in the seat and was caught with his coat wrapped around his head and neck, according to CNN affiliate KMGH. Reports indicate his chair was left in the upright position, which caused him to fall through when he sat, the station said. His death was caused by positional asphyxia and has been ruled...

We all knew that Mueller was told by his masters to drag this investigation out for the entirety of Trump’s time in office. Results never mattered, it was about casting a shadow over his administration. President Trump was innocent and it seems that the Deep State coup attempts are in the past. But now it’s time for POTUS to strike back. Trump delivered his message to the Deep State minions. He suggested he could bring a lawsuit over the failed “witch hunt”. “Everything having to do with this fraudulent investigation is … badly tainted and, in my opinion, should be...

I see the cancel culture has a new technique: harassment by petition. How civilized. Just sign your name and let the media do the rest of the legwork. “Project Democracy” first emerged when they collected signatures from lawyers (gravitas!) claiming Mueller’s Russia Report presented enough evidence to charge the President with obstruction of justice. Apparently that was all it took to persuade Nancy Pelosi and her toadies to proceed. Now “Project Democracy” has collected online signatures from “former Justice Department employees” urging Attorney General Bill Barr to resign for his perceived bowing to White House interference in the sentencing of...

Plymouth Rock and several other landmarks in the Massachusetts town were vandalized ahead of the 400th anniversary of Pilgrims arriving at the site on the Mayflower. Crews cleaned up the rock and other landmarks late Monday morning and Plymouth town manager Melissa Arrighi said police are investigating the incident. “We are saddened and sickened by the recent vandalism in our historic town,” she wrote. We are saddened and sickened by the recent vandalism in our historic town. This is just one of our historic monuments that was hit. We will begin clean up as soon as possible and the police...

On Tuesday, the Internet Accountability Project (IAP) will file an amicus brief in the Oracle v. Google Supreme Court copyright case. In a nutshell, the brief explains why IAP believes it is time for the Supreme Court to course correct on Google’s outrageous interpretation of the “fair use†doctrine under U.S. copyright law. But the case is bigger than one single legal doctrine and goes to the very heart of why Google is anathema to conservatives and everything we stand for. In fact, the case is the poster child for what we at IAP call “the Great 21st Century Internet...

A program funded by 2020 presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg is paying the salaries of lawyers who are farmed out to liberal state attorney general offices to pursue climate-based litigation -- a compact critics say amounts to Bloomberg buying state law enforcement employees to advance his preferred political agenda. The arrangement, which currently pays the salaries of Special Assistant Attorneys General (SAAGs) in 10 Democratic AG offices, is drawing new scrutiny now that Bloomberg is running for president. The New York University School of Law's State Energy & Environmental Impact Center, which was started in 2017 with $5.6 million from Bloomberg's...

At least 43,000 immigrants have become Pennsylvania citizens since the 2016 presidential election. That’s almost as many voters as the margin Trump won by, according to recent analysis of U.S. Census Bureau data. What that means for the 2020 election isn’t clear, but where those voters live in the commonwealth is an indication of where their votes could have an impact. ---SNIP-- Following the election of President Trump and his focus on restricting immigration to the United States, immigrant-serving organizations such as UnidosUS have launched campaigns aimed at getting eligible residents to become citizens.

... The steady exodus of African Americans has caused alarm and grief in Chicago, the nation’s third largest city, where black people have shaped the history, culture and political life. The population of 2.7 million is still nearly split in thirds among whites, blacks and Latinos, but the balance is shifting. Chicago saw its population decline in 2018, the fourth year in a row. Since 2015, almost 50,000 black residents have left. They have been driven out of the city by segregation, gun violence, discriminatory policing, racial disparities in employment, the uneven quality of public schools and frustration at life...

RICHMOND, Va. (ChurchMilitant.com) - Virginia Democrats stormed out of the state's House of Delegates when a local pastor condemned abortion and so-called gay marriage. Invited to give the opening prayer, Rev. Robert M. Grant Jr. last week warned state lawmakers of God's wrath on those who reject biblical principles and greenlight abortion and sodomy. "The unborn have rights and those rights need to be protected. They should never be denied the right to exist, the right to develop or the right to have a family. The word of God has given us a warning: woe to anyone who harms an...

Opinion: The Immorality of Democrat Thought We are fast approaching a tipping point in these United States of America. It seems as though an increasing percentage of the electorate believes that the purpose of the sovereign franchise is to vote themselves an ever-expanding portion of the public treasury. There seems to be this idea that just because one person has a need, perhaps a really significant, life or death need, that it is the business of government to force other citizens to respond to that need with their own labor or property.Part of this thought process comes from a false...

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos said Monday that he plans to spend $10 billion of his own fortune to help fight climate change. Bezos, the world’s richest person, said in an Instagram post that he’ll start giving grants this summer to scientists, activists and nonprofits working to protect Earth. “I want to work alongside others both to amplify known ways and to explore new ways of fighting the devastating impact of climate change,” Bezos said in the post.

As the world confronts a coronavirus outbreak, Trump administration officials aren't sure "what information the president should receive." One of the first signs of trouble in the White House came a couple of weeks ago, when Donald Trump published a tweet praising Chinese President Xi Jinping for his handling of the coronavirus outbreak. The American president said of his counterpart in Beijing, "He is strong, sharp and powerfully focused on leading the counterattack." The Republican's gushing praise made some administration officials uncomfortable, largely because they believe China's response has been wholly inadequate and dangerously opaque. It was against this backdrop...

On Monday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Deadline White House,” 2020 Democratic presidential candidate former Vice President Joe Biden “absolutely” joined calls for Attorney General William Barr to resign. Host Nicolle Wallace asked, “So, we have been talking about the letter signed by more than 2,000 former Justice Department officials of both political parties calling on Attorney General Barr to resign. Do you join their calls for his resignation?”

Thank you all for your prayers and please keep them coming. I spoke to Norm last night and could immediately hear the difference in him. His voice was strong and he was focused. When I told him how many people were praying for him and would continue to do so, he said he could feel a difference. He is very grateful to all and will pray for all of you. Norm still has a number of physical problems; but with the spiritual and emotional strength our prayers are giving him, his spirit is healing and that will be so important...

Obamacare created perverse incentives that increased hospital consolidation and hospital employment of physicians. The same forces also encouraged consolidation of physician practices in ways that are detrimental to patients. Surprise medical bills are an example. It’s only a small percentage of physicians who engage in the practice but it’s growing. More than one-in-five hospital patients have reportedly received a surprise medical bill. These occur when out-of-network physicians treat patients and balance bill them for more expensive, out-of-network care. Out-of-network status is often a business strategy allowing some physicians to charge fees many times what their in-network colleagues are paid for the...

Nobody appears to be more concerned about climate change than Democratic presidential front-runner Bernie Sanders, student activist Greta Thunberg, and the thousands of Extinction Rebellion activists who shut down London last year. Last year, Sanders called climate change “an existential threat.” Extinction Rebellion said, “Billions will die.” And Thunberg said, “I don’t want you to be hopeful” about climate change, “I want you to panic.” But if Sanders, Thunberg, and Extinction Rebellion are so alarmed about carbon emissions, why are they fighting to halt the use of two technologies, fracking and nuclear, that are most responsible for reducing them? Sanders...

Morning "Shew me wherefore thou contendest with me." Job 10:2 Perhaps, O tried soul, the Lord is doing this to develop thy graces. There are some of thy graces which would never be discovered if it were not for thy trials. Dost thou not know that thy faith never looks so grand in summer weather as it does in winter? Love is too often like a glow-worm, showing but little light except it be in the midst of surrounding darkness. Hope itself is like a star--not to be seen in the sunshine of prosperity, and only to be discovered in...

... Every one of the party’s presidential candidates has a robust climate action agenda. It is a rare area in this primary where candidates are marching mostly to the same beat. They almost universally support a Green New Deal. They all vow to immediately reenlist the U.S. in the Paris accord to fight global warming. The differences lie in how far, how fast and how much to spend. We break down where they stand and what climate policy would look like under the vision offered by each of the Democratic hopefuls. Former Vice President Joe Biden unveiled a bold $1.7-trillion...
