A political tragedy is now unfolding here in America, the self-immolation of the Democratic Party. It is happening. ... Way back in the spring, they decided that this election would amount to an Obama restoration. By beating President Trump we could all return to the world before Trump. Joe Biden was the designated leader of this kind of revolution. It's a little hard to believe, now that we say it out loud -- now that Biden is in danger of finishing fifth on Tuesday in New Hampshire. But that's what they really thought -- that Biden could do it, and...

China has "removed" several senior officials over their handling of the coronavirus outbreak - as the death toll passed 1,000. The party secretary for the Hubei Health Commission, and the head of the commission, were among those who lost their jobs. They are the most senior officials to be demoted so far. The deputy director of the local Red Cross was also removed for "dereliction of duty" over "handling of donations". The two Hubei party officials will be replaced by a national figure - the deputy director of China's National Health Commission, Wang Hesheng. As well as being removed from...

New Hampshire has been holding the first-in-the-nation presidential primary for 100 years, but a significant number of Tuesday’s ballots could be cast by newcomers to that storied tradition. New Hampshire has one of the nation’s lowest percentages of native-born residents, with only a third of those age 25 and older having been born in the state. And one-fifth of the state’s potential voters either resided somewhere else four years ago or were not old enough to vote, according to a recent analysis of demographic trends by the University of New Hampshire. Those shifts challenge some of the presumptions about New...

President Trump held a huge campaign rally at a jam-packed 12,000 seat SNHU arena in Manchester, New Hampshire Monday night on the eve of that state's first in the nation presidential primary. Supporters started lining up in the cold and rain two days in advance, with several thousand remaining outside to watch the rally on a Jumbotron after the doors were locked when the venue hit full capacity. Amazingly, there was an overflow crowd of hundreds apart from the overflow crowd of thousands outside the arena that gathered way across the street to view and hear the Trump rally on...

A national survey conducted by Loandepot finds 77 percent of Millennial and Gen Z-ers are expecting financial assistance from their parents to purchase their first home. The most common expectations included help with a down payment (38 percent), co-signing the mortgage (31 percent) and helping with closing costs (24 percent). Of those expecting down payment assistance, the majority of respondents were looking for less than $10,000. Alarmingly, 18 percent of parents responding to the survey who indicated they would help their children also said they were putting their retirement on hold to do so. Parents whose children were still living...

BEIJING - China’s coronavirus outbreak has tested the limits of free speech on the country’s heavily censored online and social media, with a brief window of liberalization that opened during January subsequently slammed shut by authorities. The period from Jan 19 to Feb 1, when public concern about the coronavirus exploded just as China was gearing up for the Lunar New Year holiday, saw an uncharacteristic loosening. Online buzz about the outbreak flourished, with netizens largely unfettered in criticizing local authorities - but not central government leaders - over their handling of the crisis. That liberalisation has come to end,...

What we are witnessing in east Africa and across much of the Middle East right now is hard to believe. 360 billion locusts are eating everything in sight, and UN officials are warning that this plague of “Biblical proportions” could get many times worse over the next several months. Desert locusts can travel up to 93 miles a day, and each adult can consume the equivalent of its own weight in food every 24 hours. These voracious little creatures are traveling in absolutely colossal swarms that are up to 40 miles wide, and they continue to push into new areas....

The fire ravaged state of New South Wales in Australia received much-needed torrential downpours that doused active fires, reducing the total number by a third, as The Guardian reported. The number of active fires dropped from more than 60 to 42 in just one day. Authorities in New South Wales warned of flash flooding on Australia's east coast and in Sydney. However, they were happy to welcome the rain, which was the most recorded in over a year, according to Australia's Bureau of Meteorology, as the BBC reported. "It was fantastic to wake up to much-needed rain this morning!" Sydney's...

The root of the problem is that ruling Chinese communists refuse to permit the free flow of information. In an epidemic, that's deadly, that's precisely what extends the duration of an epidemic, information being the one thing that needs to be shared freely, to prevent panic, to ensure the distribution of medical supplies, to obtain effective cures, to isolate transmission areas. Foreign Affairs explains the details of this very well. So the more the Chicoms act like Chicoms, the worse the epidemic gets and the worse the effects. To look at the comments section of the YouTube video about, it's...

On the eve of the New Hampshire primary, how can it be there is still no winner of last week's Iowa caucuses? Final results of the Democratic caucus were released late Sunday, after the Iowa Democratic Party made a series of corrections to a tally initially delayed by several days. That's not the end of the count, however, as Sen. Bernie Sanders and former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg exercised their right Monday to ask the state party to take another look at its reporting of the results. Amid those delays in getting the data and after observing irregularities...

TOKYO – The number of people with coronavirus on a cruise ship in the port of Yokohama nearly doubled to 135 Monday, prompting imperiled crew members to plead for help and setting off debate among experts over whether the more than 3,700 people quarantined aboard should be taken ashore or left on the ship... Eleven Americans were among the 65 people aboard the Diamond Princess who were newly diagnosed with the respiratory infection, giving the ship the largest number of infections outside China... The cruise ship company, Princess Cruises, said that because the quarantine was imposed a few days ago,...

Washington - Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, a Democrat from New York, is calling on internal watchdogs from across the federal government to investigate "any and all instances of retaliation" against federal whistleblowers who have reported alleged misconduct by President Trump. Schumer's request to the nation's 74 inspectors general, who serve as the internal watchdogs of federal agencies, follows the removal of Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman from his job with the National Security Council. Vindman testified during the House Democrats' impeachment inquiry into Mr. Trump and participated in the July 25 phone call between the president and Ukrainian President Volodymyr...

Very few things I have said have elicited as much negative attention as this: What people say in private tells little, if anything, about their character. Left-wing critics have had a field day mocking me (mockery is the left's substitute for argument), but even some religious conservatives have taken issue with me (without the mockery) -- don't I know that it is precisely how we act in private that most clearly reveals our character? This issue, of course, originally arose as a result of what then-reality TV host Donald Trump said in private to then-"Access Hollywood" host Billy Bush in...

Six adorable, daring puppies and their whiz kid leader, ten-year-old Ryder, rescue people in the community of Adventure Bay. You would have to be a fool to not love Paw Patrol. Kennedy, from King’s University College, has penned a vital new piece of research called “Whenever there’s trouble. Just yelp for help”: Crime, Conservation and Corporatization in Paw Patrol” in the...

UK: Muslim cleric quotes Quran, “We will strike terror into the hearts of the kuffar,” in preaching jihad on YouTube FEB 10, 2020 4:00 PM BY ROBERT SPENCER 12 COMMENTS “We will strike terror into the hearts of the kuffar.” That’s Qur’an 3:151, and see also 8:12 and 8:60. Why haven’t British authorities done anything about this sinister figure? Do you really need to ask why shattered, staggering, dhimmi Britain lets him preach his hatred and violence? They no doubt can’t spare the resources from their efforts to silence and block all foes of jihad violence and Sharia oppression to...

SNIP Speaking before a crowd of 400 people at the Aspen Institute on February 5, 2015, Bloomberg said that to prevent violent crimes, police should seize guns from minorities. Bloomberg specifically noted that 95 percent of murders—both murderers and murder victims—in New York and “virtually every city” were committed by individuals fitting the same profile. “Male, minorities, 16 to 25,” he said. SNIP “95 percent of your murders—murderers and murder victims fit one M.O. You can just take the description. Xerox it and pass it out to all the cops. They are male, minorities, sixteen to twenty-five. That’s true in...

Independent claims Muslim who attacked cops with sword was inspired by Tommy Robinson, David Wood, Robert Spencer FEB 10, 2020 5:00 PM BY ROBERT SPENCER Lizzie Dearden of the Independent details here how jihad terrorist Mohiusunnath Chowdhury, whose hate and bloodlust we have covered a great deal here at Jihad Watch, says he learned from Tommy Robinson, David Wood and me. In this, Dearden echoes Chowdhury’s prosecutor, Duncan Atkinson, whose claim that Chowdhury was inspired by Robinson we reported yesterday. It’s a bit eye-popping to see us falsely accused of inciting violence by a Muslim, when usually we’re falsely accused...
