The Democratic Party was humbled by an app Monday night. A day later, it still didn’t have voting results for the 31st most populous state in the nation. Yet this is the same party that wants the American people to believe it can remake a $20 trillion economy with free college, free health care and a “green new deal” all without a hiccup. One major underlying theme proposed by all the Democrats running for president is competence — that they are all better suited for the job than President Trump, who can’t properly run his real estate business much less...

Democratic strategist James Carville expressed his concerns as the Democratic primary race is officially underway, saying he's "scared to death" of the direction his party is going. Appearing on MSNBC, Carville began by pointing to the success Democrats had during the 2018 midterm elections and stressed that it "matters" who the candidates are and what the party chooses to talk about. "I'm 75 years old, why am I here doing this? Because I'm scared to death, that's why," Carville exclaimed. "Let's get relevant here ... all the Sanders people are taking pictures wishing Jeremy Corbyn the best. ... I don't...

A week after a mysterious virus began to spread in China, the State Department enacted a level 4 travel advisory against the country on Thursday night. Citing the Coronavirus outbreak, the State Department advised U.S. citizens to not travel to China for any reason – and for anyone currently in China to leave as soon as possible. The State Department’s decision comes on the heels of the World Health Organization declaring the Coronavirus a global emergency. The declaration from the WHO seems suspiciously delayed – announced a full week after the virus accelerated spread in China. However, if you look...

Democratic donors and party insiders are warning that large swaths of their voters could stay home — or even defect to Trump — if Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders snags the nomination. An insider working with Mike Bloomberg’s campaign agreed: “I think that there is a very real ‘Never Bernie’ sentiment amongst both the donor class and moderate, centrist Democrats. ” Among insiders there is near-universal belief that Sanders’ card carrying socialist credentials could create enormous problems with suburban and older voters — both of whom tend to be wealthier than the general population. While millennials are evenly split between socialism...

SNIP "We are always hopeful when a President makes a State of the Union address. We welcome any opportunity to extend the hand of friendship to find common ground on behalf of the American people. The issue of major concern to most Americans is health care. Tonight, House Democrats brought scores of guests to the State of the Union who have powerful health care stories, whether it is families with pre-existing conditions, families struggling to afford the prescription drugs they need, or families relying on Medicaid even though they have private insurance. We had been told the President would have...

Whoopi Goldberg and her business partner Maya Elisabeth are shuttering their cannabis brand, Whoopi & Maya, after four years. And we’re told it all went up in smoke because of a rift between the pair. Board member and High Times veteran Rick Cusick told us, “In the last few months, Whoopi and Maya wanted a divorce, and the board had worked very hard to try and come up with some proposals … but we couldn’t get both principals to agree.” He said the board thought they had found a “win-win” solution to “preserve the company,” but that Goldberg then sent...
