Protesters had been chanting, "Convict, remove, send Donald Trump to jail. This fascist regime, is guilty as hell!" prior to the Senate's vote. When the vote was over, the crowd began to chant "Shame!" While there had been a small Capitol Police presence, more were brought in as the crowd became more agitated in the wake of the vote. Liberal filmmaker Michael Moore blasted the Democratic National Committee (DNC) over what he described as its "disgusting" rule changes, saying they might pave the way for billionaire Michael Bloomberg to land a spot on the next presidential debate stage. On Friday, the DNC announced its requirements for the Feb. 19 debate in Las Vegas, increasing the polling threshold in addition to allowing any candidate who has earned delegates in the Iowa and New Hampshire primaries -- but it also eliminated the donor threshold that was previously set for its Democratic candidates. That means Bloomberg, who has been self-funding his campaign,...

The post office has decided they will no longer bring packages to our home because it's to far from the road. They will only bring items they think will fit in my mailbox (and so far, they think none of them will) I'm not really in the mood to run 20 miles one way to get a package. when you google "large mail box" or what ever you get cardboard boxes. when I actually find something that will accept a decent sized package its 3-700 bucks. I would assume if it's not an official mailbox (approved and all) they won't...

While the guests and host on CNN's Don Lemon program got some good laughs among themselves pretending that Trump supporters are ignoramuses, the General Social Survey (GSS)—a test of verbal ability and science knowledge contradicts their premise. Most interesting in the latest edition of the GSS was the finding that less than half (49.6%) of the Democrats participating in the test were able to select the correct answer regarding whether the sun orbits the Earth or vice versa and whether it takes a day, month, or year to complete one orbit. The average correct response rate for all test participants...

When Wei Sun, a 48-year-old engineer at Raytheon Missile Systems, left for an overseas trip last year, he told the company he planned to bring his company-issued HP EliteBook 840 laptop along. Sun, a Chinese-born American citizen, had been working at Raytheon, the fourth-largest US defense contractor, for a decade. He held a secret-level security clearance and worked on highly sensitive missile programs used by the US military. Since Sun’s computer contained large amounts of classified data, Raytheon officials told him that taking it abroad would not only be a violation of company policy, but a serious violation of federal...

A number of people in politics, the media and elsewhere are openly speculating that if Democrats wind up with a “brokered convention,” with no strong or viable nominee evident, Hillary Clinton might enter the arena as the “savior” who could unite the delegates and go on to defeat President Donald Trump. Clinton herself seemed to throw shade at that theory during an interview with Variety at the Sundance Film Festival. When asked about the “urge” to beat Trump, the former Democratic nominee said: “Yeah, I certainly feel the urge because I feel the 2016 election was a really odd time...

“In conversations on the sidelines of a DNC executive committee meeting and in telephone calls and texts in recent days, about a half-dozen members have discussed the possibility of a policy reversal to ensure that so-called superdelegates can vote on the first ballot at the party’s national convention,” Politico reported. “Such a move would increase the influence of DNC members, members of Congress and other top party officials, who now must wait until the second ballot to have their say if the convention is contested.” Politico noted that it’s an uphill battle for those who want the rule change, but...

3:39 A Super PAC working to elect former Vice President Joe Biden is being bankrolled by a bevy of real estate, financial, and oil interests. Unite the Country, which is run by a lobbyist and longtime Biden confidant, disclosed its donors on Friday in filings made public with the Federal Election Commission (FEC). Between launching at the end of October and the December 31 filing deadline, the group raised more than $3.7 million in support of Biden’s candidacy. Although the money poured in from a number of high-dollar donors, some of Unite the Country’s largest contributors were individuals tied to...

President Trump’s impeachment lawyer Alan Dershowitz argued the president should not have the stain of impeachment on his legacy if the Senate acquits him. “Nancy Pelosi has now pulled a real sharp one. She says even if he’s acquitted and vindicated, he’s still impeached. He’s going to have that label forever. That should not be how it is. Why? He didn’t have a fair trial,” Dershowitz, 81, told Fox News host Sean Hannity on Friday. “He was indicted. And what happens after a person is acquitted after indictment? The indictment disappears,” he continued. “If he wins this, I think nobody...

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) raked in more than $2.5 million in the fourth quarter of 2019, a hefty haul that came during his high-profile leadership over the House’s impeachment investigation into President Trump. Schiff is entering 2020 with more than $8.1 million cash on hand, a substantial figure for a House member in an election year. Schiff’s race is not particularly competitive – he won reelection in 2018 with nearly 80 percent of the vote in California’s 28th Congressional District. The California Democrat has won plaudits from members of his own party for his handling of the House Intelligence Committee’s...
