Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his Leave supporters have always expounded the virtues of being outside the EU, including the ability to negotiate its own trade deals on its own terms for the benefits of its own citizens. Being part of a big gang has its advantages and disadvantages. Yes, you have to make compromises and adapt your goals to match commonly-agreed policies. But you also get the power of the bloc behind you in trade negotiations. Where does this leave Africa? The UK's International Development Secretary, Alok Sharma, is, as one would expect, very optimistic saying that Britain's relations...

Today’s Web is far different from the electronic public square it was originally created to be. Yet there is realistic hope the Web can be liberated from the stifling restraints of Big Tech and Big Government. Last summer, Facebook slapped this magazine’s parent organization, The John Birch Society, with a “hate speech” violation and demonetized the organization’s Facebook page for 30 days. The reason: Our July 8, 2019 print magazine cover, which included a real photograph of immigrants illegally crossing a border fence. That cover article was headlined “Immigrant Invasion” and a caption for that photo inside the magazine included...

About 100,000 tickets have been requested for President Donald Trump’s rally at the Wildwoods Convention Center next week - the highest demand for any event the president has held, U.S. Rep. Jeff Van Drew told Fox News during an interview Sunday. “It’s been exciting and I’m proud to say for his event - of all the events he’s done in all the country - we’ve had the most ticket requests,” said Van Drew, R-2nd Dist., who recently switched parties after losing support from Democratic leaders for opposing impeachment. Trump is slated to appear at the Wildwoods Convention Center at 7...

The radical progressive wing of the New Democratic Party truly fails to understand why their ideas are so horrible. People like Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have this notion that if they could only reach enough people with their extreme message against the rich, they can achieve their goal of complete government control over our lives. You see, to the far-left, authoritarianism is considered a positive so they can protect us from each other… and ourselves. It’s unfortunate that so many people really are starting to listen to her, Senator Bernie Sanders, and other Marxists who envision a utopia dominated by the...

Around the world, more than 260 million Christians—one of every eight believers—experience high levels of persecution, just for following Jesus. For the past 28 years, the Open Doors World Watch List has offered a global indicator of countries where human and religious rights are being violated, and those countries most vulnerable to societal unrest and destabilization. During the 2020 World Watch List [https://www.thegospelcoalition.org/article/the-countries-where-its-most-dangerous-to-be-a-christian-in-2020/] reporting period, in the top 50 countries, a total of 9,488 churches or Christian buildings were attacked; 3,711 Christians were detained without trial, arrested, sentenced and imprisoned; and 2,983 Christians were killed for faith-related reasons. On average,...

democrats have unveiled their 2020 campaign platform. It is exactly the same as 2016 and 2018 platforms. Hate Trump. As a preview, Mad Max(ine Waters) has promised that impeachment will be a perennial process for democrats. Napoleon Bonaparte is said to have remarked “In that case, let us wait twenty minutes; when the enemy is making a false movement we must take good care not to interrupt him.” democrats are making a yuge mistake. ABC contributor Sara Fagen notes that the country has moved on, but democrats have not. Jonathan Swan observed that the growing backlash is helping the GOP democrat...

Kiev (AFP) - Ukraine's president on Monday urged Tehran to hand over the black box flight recorders of a passenger plane mistakenly shot down by Iranian forces during a spike in tensions with Washington. President Volodymyr Zelensky met Iran's Minister of Roads and Urban Development Mohammad Eslami in Kiev after Tehran suggested it would keep the black boxes. Zelensky told the minister "Ukraine has the technical capacity and experienced specialists" to read the information on the Boeing flight recorders, the presidency said in a statement. Iranian "representatives" would shortly travel to Ukraine "to acquaint themselves with those technical capacities. "The...

A federal judge in Maryland has blocked the Trump administration's executive order allowing state and local governments to turn away refugees from resettling in their communities. In September, President Trump announced that groups that help refugees find places to live must first get written consent from local and state jurisdictions before resettling them. Immigration advocates challenged the executive order in federal court, calling it cruel and shortsighted. U.S. District Judge Peter Messitte said the executive order "does not appear to serve the overall public interest." In his 31-page opinion issued Wednesday, he wrote that the order gives states and local...

Running a presidential campaign takes money. A lot of money. But candidates frequently find themselves in a bind because it has to be the right sort of money. And with laws allowing your opponents to scrutinize almost all of the cash coming in the door, you’re left open to criticism if you take “bad money” from “bad people.” Enter Bernie Sanders. He’s got a solution for that problem, particularly when it comes to all of that “dark money” that comes in from PACs and Super PACs. Those dollars frequently come from unnamed sources, particularly since the Supreme Court’s decision in...

The GAO and the CDC have issued emergency alerts today concerning Puerto Rico. The non-partisan GAO has notified Speaker Pelosi that President Trump has broken the law. GAO has learned that disaster aid appropriated for disaster supplies in 2017 for Puerto Rico Hurricane Maria still remains and is being currently used which is a violation of the law. Congress did not re-appropriate the relief nor authorize its use in subsequent disasters. President Trump broke the law by not sending federal troops to the island to seize and destroy the relief supplies in the beginning of fiscal year 2019. The CDC...

Despite the Governor’s best efforts to incite and ruin the VCDL rally for Lobby Day in Richmond, the crowds were calm, patriotic, and respectful with no incidents reported. All of the left’s media outlets screamed like Chicken Little over this rally and nothing happened. They were all wrong. It is estimated that the crowd was 50,000+. At one point the crowd was estimated to be twice that amount.

I'm just wondering. I work nights, so all news has to wait until I wake up. I'm just wondering if there are survivors from the rally today?

LOS ANGELES – Disgraced attorney Michael Avenatti is accused of stealing money from dozens more clients than previously known, according to newly unsealed documents and recent interviews with Fox News. It’s alleged that Avenatti, currently behind bars awaiting trial in New York on unrelated charges, directed up to $1.3 million in settlement funds – intended for approximately 170 clients – to cover his own expenses. It’s the latest example of alleged malfeasance by the lawyer who was once a fixture on cable news and flirted with a presidential run. “We didn’t receive any of that,” Donald Albaugh, one of Avenatti’s...

Rallygoers at the Virginia capital pro-Second Amendment Lobby Day have been on high alert for several days leading up to the event and warning one another that infiltrators from Antifa or other anti-gun groups could be in their crowd posing as pro-gun, but stirring up trouble and violence. An incident occurred at the Richmond rally that has some people wondering if they've just discovered one of these opposition plants. The video below shows a thin man wearing army-style clothing and claiming to be a libertarian while encouraging someone who is speaking to "start a revolution right now" and "hop that...

A newly-discovered part of our immune system could be harnessed to treat all cancers, say scientists. The Cardiff University team discovered a method of killing prostate, breast, lung and other cancers in lab tests. The findings, published in Nature Immunology, have not been tested in patients, but the researchers say they have "enormous potential". Experts said that although the work was still at an early stage, it was very exciting. What have they found? Our immune system is our body's natural defence against infection, but it also attacks cancerous cells. The scientists were looking for "unconventional" and previously undiscovered ways...
