Did it? So far, the FBI appears to have engaged in some nefarious and untoward activities to say the least based upon what we have heard. And we now know the FISA warrants would have not been approved were it not for the bogus Steele Dossier. Peter Strozk's texts to Lisa Page saying the White House was the one running the investigation still appear damning against Obama.

A Silicon Valley startup has completed what appears to be the first commercial freight cross-country trip by an autonomous truck, which finished a 2,800-mile-run from Tulare, California to Quakertown, Pennsylvania for Land O’Lakes in under three days. The trip was smooth like butter, 40,000 pounds of it. Plus.ai, a 3-year-old company in Cupertino, announced the milestone Tuesday. A safety driver was aboard the autonomous semi, ready to take the wheel if needed, along with a safety engineer who observed how things were going. “We wanted to demonstrate the safety, reliability and maturity of our overall system,” said Shawn Kerrigan, co-founder...

**SNIP** Maloney defeated Republican incumbent Nan Hayworth back in 2012, running as a moderate Democrat. Some Democratic members of the House, particularly those who recently flipped seats, could anger voters in their districts by voting for impeachment, potentially harming their re-election bids. Politico first reported Tuesday that about 10 Democratic lawmakers had brought up the possibility of censuring the president and foregoing impeachment altogether. A lawmaker involved with those discussions later confirmed the report to Newsweek. Several of the more vulnerable Democrats told Newsweek on Tuesday that they had not yet made up their mind as to how they would...

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) blasted Fox News host Tucker Carlson as a “white supremacist sympathizer” and his show as an “hour-long production of unmitigated racism” after a Tuesday night segment on her New York district. In the segment, Carlson showed video footage of litter in New York’s 14th district, the district Ocasio-Cortez represents, and asked City Journal Associate Editor Seth Barron about the presence of garbage if the lawmaker claims “to care about the environment.” Barron responded that “part of the reason is because her district is actually one of the least American districts in the country, and by that,...

In the lead-up to the 2016 election, Democrats fretted openly about the possibility that Donald Trump, being a rather poor sport, might refuse to acknowledge an election loss. To be fair, Trump refused to state that he would accept election results, depending on the circumstances: “I’ll keep you in suspense,” he stated in his Oct. 19, 2016, debate with Hillary Clinton. Clinton, for her part, called his statement “horrifying,” adding that he was harming American democracy. Trump, of course, won. And Clinton spent the next couple of years suggesting openly that she had been robbed in the election. Democrats blamed...

A Colorado man has been sentenced to four years in prison after pleading guilty to his 13th DUI. Denver prosecutors say Maynard Rome compiled the DUIs in four Colorado counties and in South Dakota’s Lawrence County since 1986. His latest case involves a traffic accident in Denver in June. District Attorney Beth McCann’s office says it’s a miracle that Rome didn’t kill anyone over that time.

Although the Wehrmacht's Soviet invasion is now doomed and he is under no obligation to declare war if Japan is the aggressor, Adolf Hitler foolishly declares war on the United States, setting Nazi Germany up for a two-front war. The United States House of Representatives and Senate quickly pass a resolution declaring war on Germany and Italy. Future Hall of Fame pitcher Bob Feller becomes one of the first -- if not, the first -- professional baseball player to enlist. A newly-wed couple ended their marriage within hours of exchanging vows after the groom’s best man brother beat up his new bride, MailOnline can reveal. Soldier Steffan Wilson, 25, and his teacher bride Erin Mason-George, 26, have hardly seen each other since their wedding day four months ago. Friends said the pair have decided to 'go their separate ways' after Steffan's best man, his older brother Tomos Wilson, 29, from Swansea, assaulted the bride, her two sisters and her mother. Soldier Steffan went home with his family after the boozy wedding party rather than comfort his shocked bride who was...

A federal judge has ruled the taxpayer-funded Medicaid program must cover transgender surgery in Wisconsin.Judge William Conley, of U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin, an Obama appointee, said a 1997 state regulation that excluded transgender treatments and surgeries from Medicaid coverage violated federal law, including the Affordable Care Act, or Obamacare; the federal Medicaid Act; and the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.A press release at National Health Law Program (NHeLP), which joined with other law firms in the class action lawsuit that challenged the exclusion, noted the state did not appeal the ruling “and has agreed...

Trump voters in the flyover states are often referred to as “the forgotten” — the men and women whom the media and other presidential candidates failed to understand. An entire cottage industry has materialized around them, intending to “humanize” them, or explain their perspective to a baffled coastal audience. J. D. Vance, author of Hillbilly Elegy, is typically seen as the prototype of this group. But Will Arbery’s riveting off-Broadway play, Heroes of the Fourth Turning, dramatizes an even more obscure group, a forgotten sub-category within “the forgotten” — a group Rod Dreher, whose influence weighs heavily on the play,...

Requesting feedback for a distribution of Linux to install on a spare PC. The PC has a 4th Gen Intel i5 processor, 8GB RAM, and a 1 TB hard drive, so I should be good to go. While I used UNIX a lot during my 30+ year career, I have minimal Linux experience.

I bought MS Office back in college and have installed it on several computers whenever I upgraded computers. Now I have 3 new computers with Windows 10 OS and, like always, I installed the MS Office 2007 software. This was yesterday. Today, I opened up a Word file and everything has been reformatted. The entire layout is different. And Microsoft is telling me I have to register the software with the original registration numbers by December 19 or service will be interrupted. Seriously? I don't even have the original packaging/box. And I've been using it for 10 years. Where's this...

A boy wore a Trump yarmulke to the White House signing event for the president’s executive order on anti-Semitism Wednesday. The 12-year-old boy named Austin wore a red yarmulke with the president’s last name embroidered on it as he was invited up to address the crowd. “Thank you for having me at the White House today,” he said to Trump. “It was very unexpected. My mom pulled me out of school when the White House called, and I was in the middle of lunch. Probably one of the first times I was ever speechless.” Trump mentioned Austin’s comments were not...

A government analysis after the first Boeing 737 MAX crash last fall found the jets were at a significant risk for future crashes, but the agency did not ground the planes until after a second crash. Those two crashes killed 346 people. A Federal Aviation Administration analysis document predicted there would be more than 15 additional fatal crashes of the MAX over its lifetime, and was made public Wednesday at a House Transportation Committee hearing. Administrator Stephen Dickson said that based on that document and "what I know today," he would have acted to ground the plane had he been...

Survey of Amazon Synod Final Doc: Vatican II with an Amazonian Face Six weeks have passed since the closing of the Pan-Amazon Synod (Oct. 6-27, 2019), the latest exercise in what Pope Francis has called the “path of synodality which God expects of the Church of the third millennium.” The dust has settled and I have now had a chance to review the Synod’s final document in full, which was originally composed in Spanish and subsequently translated into English by LifeSiteNews in early November due to the absence of an official English text. (Sometime in the past few days, the Vatican finally...

Some issues transcend partisan politics. This is one of them. In a special debate on climate change hosted by CNN in September, United States presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-VT) suggested using taxpayer money to fund abortion in poor countries. He believes doing so would help fight climate change. In the debate, an audience member said, “Human population growth has more than doubled in the past 50 years. The planet cannot sustain this growth…. the need to curb population growth seems a reasonable campaign to enact.” Then she asked Sanders, “Would you be courageous enough to discuss this issue and make...
