We all know that if something looks too good to be true, it is. Reasonable Americans can agree that no one who shouldn't have a gun should have one. Red flag laws, though, are peaceful slavery disguised as bipartisan utopianism, with even President Trump publicly supporting them. Bipartisanship is often sold as doing what's right, but warm and fuzzy bipartisan agreements don't necessarily mean something good for the American people. Doing what's constitutional is what's right and correct, irrespective of whether it's bipartisan. It's almost the equivalent of legislating based on polls. In my home state of Florida, both our...

WASHINGTON (CN) – President Donald Trump announced six new judicial nominees on Friday, including two to seats on the once reliably liberal Ninth Circuit and four to federal courts in California. One of the nominees to the Ninth Circuit will be familiar to senators, as Trump has now three times chosen Patrick Bumatay for a federal judgeship. Trump first chose Bumatay, a prosecutor in the Southern District of California, for a seat on the Ninth Circuit in 2018, but the Senate never took action on the nomination. Trump tapped him for a judgeship again earlier this year, this time for...

What would a Deep State hit be without Hillary Clinton, the most crooked woman in Washington DC? The Russian collusion canard failed so Adam Schiff, a Deep State snitch and their stenographers in the media are attacking President Trump with a new whistleblower ‘scandal.’ This new Deep State hit began effervescing last week when House Intel Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA) subpoenaed Acting DNI Joseph Maguire and accused him of illegally withholding a whistleblower complaint from Congress that could potentially be ‘covering up the president’s misconduct’ over a phone call he had with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

This week, 250 news organizations around the world are colluding to produce global warming propaganda in the days surrounding the UN climate summit on September 23. Variety magazine is one of the publications involved and they reported on Hollywood’s efforts to combat global warming, wondering if the entertainment industry is doing enough to sway public opinion. For them to act like celebrities, reporters and politicians haven’t already been fear mongering about climate change for decades is laughable. As the Newsbusters’ TV Blog has documented over the years, global warming stories have flooded the airwaves. Here are the top 5 worst...

Yankees pitcher Domingo German has been suspended by Major League Baseball under its domestic violence policy. The Yankees pitcher, who is currently second in the majors in wins with 18, has been suspended for seven days, "barring an extension," according to the league. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., called on Thursday for Washington, D.C. to receive statehood, indicating that residents didn't have the "right to vote." "DC was the 1st territory in the United States to free the enslaved. It’s where Black Americans fled the tyranny of slavery & towards greater freedom, to DC. Yet today it’s where 2nd class citizenship reigns, and the right to vote is denied," she said. It's unclear what she was referring to since citizens in Washington, D.C. have the right to vote like every other citizen. She appeared to be complaining about the fact that D.C. congressmen and...

Former South Carolina Republican Rep. Trey Gowdy told “America’s Newsroom” on Friday that people have stopped sharing information with the House Intelligence Committee because its chairman, Adam Schiff, D-Calif., is the most “deeply partisan” member. “When you put someone who is wrong as often as Adam Schiff is wrong and is as deeply partisan as he is, in charge of the intelligence committee, then no, you’re not going to share confidential information because Adam leaks like a sieve,” Schiff said. A whistleblower complaint that reportedly involved allegations President Trump made a troubling and unspecified "promise" to a foreign leader touched...

Record-breaking rainfall from the tropical storm Imelda is soaking southeastern Texas. Some areas have been swamped with 20 to 42 inches (51 to 107 centimeters) of rain over just three days, causing catastrophic flooding that is among the worst in U.S. history. Imelda, the first named storm to strike this part of Texas since 2017's devastating Hurricane Harvey, is currently the fifth-wettest tropical storm to drench the contiguous U.S., The Weather Channel tweeted today (Sept. 19). Storms that drop this much rain are estimated to appear once in a millennium, according to precipitation models created by the National Oceanic and...

Pete Buttigieg might get himself canceled, but it will be worth it. During a radio interview this week, the South Bend, Indiana, mayor turned Democratic presidential candidate approached un-woke territory. Buttigieg was asked about the liberal news outlets that specifically cover and cater to the gay and transgender communities, such as the Advocate, Queerty.com, Out magazine, and more. Mayor Pete had harsh words for them, essentially saying it isn’t representative of the community and makes non-flamboyant men like himself feel ostracized from the gay community. As reported by the Washington Examiner, Buttigieg told the radio host that he “can’t even...

More than 300,000 people have flocked to climate change rallies in 110 towns and cities across Australia, calling for governments and businesses to act immediately. The Global Strike 4 Climate, held across the world on Friday, was the biggest climate mobilisation in Australia's history, with more than double the turnout of the March protest. A whopping 100,000 protesters flooded the streets in Melbourne, while Sydney saw 80,000 people march through the CBD to the Domain. Protesters were demanding a target of net zero carbon emissions by 2030 and a transition to 100 per cent renewable energy.

Joe Walsh, one of President Trump's Republican challengers, said that he has given up on the Republican Party even though he is seeking its nomination. "I've given up on the Republican Party. The Republican Party is a cult," the former Illinois congressman said Monday on CNN. "They no longer stand for ideas. The Republican Party right now is all about washing their leader's feet every day."

Canadians have seen the face of social justice, and it’s rather dark. On Wednesday Time magazine published a yearbook photo of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau dressed in a turban and white robes, his face covered with brown makeup. It was taken at an “Arabian Nights”-themed gala in 2001 for the Vancouver private day school where he was teaching drama, French and math. “It was a racist thing to do,” said the Liberal leader. “I should have known better then, but I didn’t and I’m sorry.” Mr. Trudeau, who was 29 at the time, hopes self-laceration will pre-empt a whipping from...

In a Rolling Stone interview, Taylor Swift said she has a newfound obsession with politics. “Really, I keep trying to learn as much as I can about politics, and it’s become something I’m now obsessed with, whereas before, I was living in this sort of political ambivalence because the person I voted for had always won,” Swift said. "We were in such an amazing time when Obama was president because foreign nations respected us. We were so excited to have this dignified person in the White House. I think a lot of people are like me, where they just didn’t...

Posted on September 19, 2019September 19, 2019 by Msgr. Charles Pope On the Power of Liturgy and Prayer There is a text from the Acts of the Apostles that sets forth quite well some of the qualities of the Sacred Liturgy. Although the “liturgy” cited in this passage is not a Mass, the description should apply to all our liturgies; from the Liturgy of the Hours to baptism, from a penance service to a full sung Mass. Let’s look at the passage and learn from it the power of liturgy to deliver, instruct, and transform us and the world.About...

The family of slain mobster James “Whitey” Bulger intends to file a $200 million wrongful death claim against the government today over the murder of the onetime Southie serial killer who was beaten to death in a West Virginia prison. The family said the legal filing was part of its effort to discover why the 89-year-old was was beaten to death in less than 24 hours after being put in general population at U.S. Penitentiary Hazelton, the Wall Street Journal reports. Bulger was murdered in his cell at the notorious Hazelton lockup on Oct. 30. He died from “blunt force...

As you’ll see, O’Rourke has no answer to this perfectly predictable question except to mumble something about weapons of war. But why should we focus on weapons of war, asks Columbine survivor Evan Todd, when they’re responsible for only a fraction of all gun violence? The Columbine massacre itself wasn’t carried out with assault rifles, he notes. Ed sent me a spreadsheet in which he ran through the FBI’s most recent statistics for murder by firearms and found 10,982 in total in 2017, of which exactly 403 were committed with rifles — a rate of 3.67 percent. There were many...

George Conway, who is married to senior White House counselor Kellyanne Conway, said Thursday that President Donald Trump should be impeached and removed from office “without delay” if it turns out he pressured Ukraine to dig up dirt on political rival Joe Biden. The conservative attorney, a frequent critic of the president, was referring to a report in British newspaper The Independent that Trump allegedly told Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate Biden if he wanted to improve relations with the U.S. Three House committees launched an investigation last week to determine if the president, his personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani...

VIDEO Do we notice a certain very strange pattern in the liberal media reports about Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau wearing what they term as "brownface?" Perhaps they think it sounds better than the more accurate "blackface." In fact, when have you ever heard of someone wearing "brownface" before? However, since they feel obligated to protect Trudeau especially because he is facing a very tough election in Canada, the liberal media seems willing to make themselves appear to be ridiculous by using the term "brownface."

OPINION Devine: Elizabeth Warren’s war on men is an insulting, losing strategy By Miranda Devine September 18, 2019 | 10:35pm Elizabeth Warren Elizabeth Warren Barcroft Media via Getty Images Elizabeth Warren made the political calculation this week that she doesn’t need men to win the presidency. “We’re not here today because of famous arches or famous men,” she told a rally in Washington Square Park Monday night. “In fact, we’re not here because of men at all,” she said, emphasizing the “m” word like an expletive. Great. Then she won’t mind if men don’t vote for her, nor women who...
