Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax is planning to take legal action against the women accusing him of sexual assault and is arguing that the allegations were made to do “nothing more” than smear his reputation and political career, Fox News has learned. It is not clear what type of legal action Fairfax plans to take or when details of those plans will emerge. His spokeswoman suggested it could be anywhere from the next few weeks to the next few months. The move comes just days after the statute of limitations for his first accuser, Dr. Vanessa Tyson, apparently expired. Tyson...

President Trump says he will impose a 10 percent tariff on $300 billion worth of Chinese imports beginning September 1. The tariff would affect consumer goods primarily, according to an analysis by Goldman Sachs. Cue the histrionics. The Washington Post laments that these tariffs will ruin America’s “holiday” shopping season. The Post cites a study claiming that the price of toys will rise by 17 percent, while the cost of laptops and tablets could increase by $120. Basically, President Trump is the Grinch who will steal Christmas by making toys too expensive. How could he do this to poor little...

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Well, this is embarrassing: Congress accidentally just banned the federal government. The major faux pas came during a push for more legislation against guns and the deranged people who wield them to commit acts of terror. After some bipartisan bickering and tacking billions of dollars of pork onto the proposed legislation, lawmakers virtuously passed a bill that outlaws violent gun-wielding groups. Though the legislation was intended to target fringe groups that use firearms to commit acts of violence, such as gangs, far-right nationalist groups, and terrorists, it was worded too vaguely and accidentally banned the entire federal government. The...

In his own words: Ex-Cardinal's letters to abuse victims VATICAN CITY — At first glance, the handwritten postcards and letters look innocuous, even warm, sometimes signed off by "Uncle T." or "Your uncle, Father Ted."But taken in context, the correspondence penned by disgraced ex-Cardinal Theodore McCarrick to the young men he is accused of sexually abusing or harassing is a window into the way a predator grooms his prey, according to two abuse prevention experts who reviewed it for The Associated Press.Full of flattery, familiarity and boasts about his own power, the letters provide visceral evidence of how a globe-trotting...

Peter Strzok, the former FBI agent who opened the bureau’s Russia probe in 2016 and later became a symbol of alleged “deep state” animus for Donald Trump, is suing the government over his firing. In a lawsuit filed on Tuesday, Strzok excoriates the Justice Department and FBI for their handling of his dismissal over a trove of text messages he wrote to a colleague that were critical of Trump. Strzok accuses the president of inappropriately bullying law enforcement officials deciding his fate, raises questions about why his texts were leaked to the media and lambastes the administration for only defending...

The Dayton, Ohio mass shooter was a member of a death metal band called ‘Menstrual Munchies’ and was pictured during one on-stage performance in an Antifa mask and a woman’s dress. As we reported earlier, the mainstream media is finally beginning to acknowledge that Connor Betts was a far-left extremist who expressed support for the anti-ICE terrorist, Antifa and the presidential candidacy of Elizabeth Warren, as well as retweeting numerous left-wing personalities and news outlets. Now Death Metal Underground’s Robert de Sandford reports that in a 2018 performance video posted to Facebook (since removed), “Betts dons a dress and a...

House Minority Whip Steve Scalise rebuked Democratic Texas Rep. Joaquin Castro on Tuesday for tweeting out a list of Trump donors and their employers in the San Antonio area. “People should not be personally targeted for their political views. Period. Scalise was shot in the 2017 attempted mass assassination of Republican congressmen and nearly died. Castro’s tweet listed the names and employers of 44 San Antonio residents, including 11 retirees, who donated the federal maximum of $2,700 to President Donald Trump’s...

In the wake of the most recent mass shooting in El Paso, Texas, as the pieces continue to come together, the narrative demonizing white Americans and law-abiding gun owners is already raging. Infowars declares that this is all “in preparation for their globalist and corporate-backed civil war.” On Saturday, police responded to reports of a mass shooting at a Walmart near the Cielo Vista Mall in El Paso, with at least 18 people shot and 1 killed. The El Paso PD issued a tweet warning that the scene is still active. One witness told CBS News that he was about...

Ideally, Michael Coard envisions 400 black children wearing white T-shirts lined up along Market Street and carrying posters counting each year between 1619 and 2019. That it be a perfect, organized display (Have you ever tried to line up 40 children, let alone 400?) is less important than making a profound statement to mark the 400th anniversary of Africans being brought to Fort Monroe, in Hampton, Va., to be enslaved.

AT&T employees took bribes to unlock millions of smartphones, and to install malware and unauthorized hardware on the company's network, the Department of Justice said yesterday. These details come from a DOJ case opened against Muhammad Fahd, a 34-year-old man from Pakistan, and his co-conspirator, Ghulam Jiwani, believed to be deceased. The DOJ charged the two with paying more than $1 million in bribes to several AT&T employees at the company's Mobility Customer Care call center in Bothell, Washington. All over the world, Trump is doing for Britain almost overnight what Britain’s leaders have failed to do for decades. He’s finally clearing up the shameful mess that Britain left when it welched on its imperial responsibilities, and he’s doing it for free. Instead of snobbishly deriding him, the British should thank the orange man for freeing them from their destructive relationships with the Orangemen in Northern Ireland, and the police-state Islamists of Pakistan and the Palestinian Authority. The obvious way to thank Trump won’t cost Britain much either. The City of London is already full of crass monuments to...

After a violent weekend in which two mass shootings claimed the lives of 31 people in Texas and Ohio, Philadelphia Archbishop Charles Chaput didn’t offer thoughts and prayers. He offered criticism of those who think gun control is the solution. ...only a fool can believe that ‘gun control’ will solve the problem of mass violence,” he wrote in his weekly column, which was posted on the Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s website, CatholicPhilly.com, and his Facebook page. Chaput further wrote: “The people using the guns in these loathsome incidents are moral agents with twisted hearts. And the twisting is done by the...

I repeat: 500,000 trees. Killed. (That’s all U.S. Sunday newspapers combined.) What a bummer. **SNIP** What I found was bad news… >> 500,000 trees must be cut down just to produce each week’s Sunday newspaper (all U.S. Sunday papers combined). >> In total, newsprint consumption in the U.S. (2009) meant a loss of 95 million trees, generation of 126 billion gallons of waste water and emission of 73 billion pounds of greenhouse gases. Ouch! >> Recycling a single run of the Sunday New York Times would save 75,000 trees. >> If all newspaper was recycled—including the daily papers—we’d save about...

Monday Fox News contributor Karl Rove said President Donald Trump needs to do better than the “raw and dangerous” rhetoric he has used while commenting on racial issues. Discussing politicians comments on the recent mass shootings, Rove said, “Everybody in our political system needs to do better. The president needs to do better. His rhetoric at times has been raw and dangerous, I think in terms of being easily misunderstood. The Charlottesville statement, for example.”

Never let a crisis go to waste, right? The left is using the back-to-back mass shootings as an opportunity to attack the 2nd Amendment and now they’re coming for 1 A. Democrat Senator and 2020 hopeful Cory Booker (NJ) demanded Trump’s Manchester rally next week and all future rallies be cancelled. According to Cory Booker, President Trump and his supporters should not have 1st Amendment rights. “[T]hese rallies serve as a breeding ground for racism and bigotry that inspire white nationalist attacks like the one in El Paso on Saturday,” Cory Booker said in a statement. “They are despicable and...
