Don’t be so quick to discount the Democrats’ chances just because their first two debates were such complete clown shows. It could be they are borrowing a page from . . . Trump! They’re doing reality television one better! Don’t go calling them apprentices, just because none of them have been fired yet! But this whole “dark psychic forces” business? Forget Russian hacking! Does this mean the Jedi have infiltrated our election? Just who is Marianne Williamson anyway? I’ll bet she’s no apprentice at all. Strip off her mask, and she’s Mace Windu underneath. But let’s just wait: being collectivists,...

“When the people shall have nothing more to eat, they will eat the rich.” Philosopher Rousseau said those words about the French Revolution more than 200 years ago, but they could well have been a talking point in the Democratic debates this week. The candidates brushed aside repeated questions about raising taxes to pay the trillions promised for free college, universal health care, reparations and new homes for African Americans, free health care for the undocumented, massive investment in traditionally black colleges, and other “big ideas” that various candidates pledged. What they all agreed on was that the “rich” would...

SYDNEY, Australia — Defense Secretary Mark Esper said Saturday he hoped to soon place ground-launched, intermediate-range missiles in Asia, a day after the United States pulled itself from a Cold War era arms control pact. “Yes, I would like to,” Esper told reporters traveling with him to Sydney when asked whether he was considering deploying such missiles in Asia. “I would prefer [in] months, I just don’t have the latest state of play on timelines for either a cruise missile or long-range missile ... but these things tend to take longer than you expect.”

The summer issue contains articles on BDSM and gender-neutral sex toys as well as a profile of Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg and an interview with Tarana Burke, the activist who founded the #MeToo movement. Instead of having a staff writer to speak with Burke, Playboy enlisted Dream Hampton, the filmmaker behind 'Surviving R. Kelly,' the documentary that led to multiple charges against the singer.

Joe Biden is being portrayed as the Democrats’ safest potential presidential nominee, despite his obvious flaws as a candidate. But one wonders how Biden’s history of swamp corruption will play if he actually faces the scrutiny of a national run. Biden’s family has gotten wealthy, like those of so many low-paid “public servants”–Tom Daschle and Harry Reid are obvious examples. How does that happen? Politico headlines: “Biden Inc. Over his decades in office, ‘Middle-Class Joe’s’ family fortunes have closely tracked his political career.” It begins:

You might have missed this big news because the media largely ignored it, but President Trump signed a historic health care executive order (EO) in June. It supports innovative direct primary care (DPC) practice models and promises to make health care prices more transparent than they have been in a half century. One of the executive order’s biggest changes, however, is allowing patients to use tax-advantaged health savings accounts (HSAs) to pay for DPC services. This incredibly important point about HSAs is buried deep in the EO: “Within 180 days of the date of this order, the Secretary of the Treasury,...

It is being headlined on Drudge: Bill Maher show interrupted by pro-Trump heckler. Okay, so security took care of it but what is missing in the stories is the NAME of this heckler. I'm sure they must have gotten that information so why can't it be found? If anybody can find this info, please post here.

When asked about climate change during the second Democratic debate, Beto O’Rourke responded, “I’ve listened to the scientists on this and they’re very clear. We don’t have more than ten years to get this right…” World renowned climate change expert Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has previously stated, “The world is going to end in twelve years if we don’t address climate change and combat CO2.” First, I wish these two would get their story straight. If the world is going to end in either ten or twelve years, it sure would be nice to know which one. It’s going to be very...

Joe Biden’s younger brother James received a series of “unusually generous” bank loans during the 1970s, while the former vice president served on the Senate Banking Committee. Politico reported on Friday that James Biden, who has a history of murky financial dealings, was able to parlay his role as the chief fundraiser for his brother’s 1972 Senate run into the startup capital required to open a nightclub. The loans were considered “unusually generous” given that the younger Biden was a salesman without any business experience and purportedly had a net worth of less than $10,000 at the outset of the...

Lots of conservatives are understandably upset that the IG Horowitz’s criminal referral of James Comey for leaking classified memos memorializing his conversations with President Trump is not being prosecuted by the Department of Justice. It eerily reminds us of James Comey exonerating Hillary Clinton for her prima facie violations of the Espionage Act because he could perceive no criminal intent (which is unnecessary for gross negligence to apply). We’ve been suckered before, so cynicism is warranted. Tucker Carlson opened his show last night making this point: CLICK ABOVE LINK FOR THE VIDEO But there is more – much more –...

A year and a half ago, my wife Mary and I moved closer to our parents. We relocated from Florida to what I nicknamed "Trump Country USA," a tiny town in West Virginia. I've seen MAGA cap–wearers and a few lawns with old Trump signs. Our tiny town emits Christian traditional American values. We enjoy the annual Christmas and July 4th parades. Only a handful of blacks, which includes me, live here. A few days after we moved into our home, our neighbor Meg welcomed us with a homemade apple pie. Meg recently called and asked us to help with...

United States carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from the power sector and the broader economy have declined 61 percent between 2006 and 2014, mainly from "switching from coal-to-gas-powered generation," according to the U.S. Department of Energy's Second Installment of the Quadrennial Energy Review, January 2017. These environmentally sound numbers from higher use of natural gas can also be translated globally to help with pollution in countries such as China, India, and the entire continent of Africa. The U.S. now uses natural gas converted to liquid natural gas (LNG) from shale deposits in states such as Texas, North Dakota, and Pennsylvania to...

On Tuesday, Virginia’s general assembly celebrated 400 years since a legislative body was formed by the colonists of old Jamestown. As a member of the House of Delegates, I was given a front-row seat at the festivities. Unfortunately, the celebration, which was intended to be a nonpartisan reflection on our commonwealth’s complicated history, was tarnished by the presence of President Donald Trump, a man whose views are antithetical to the values that the event sought to celebrate: democracy, representation, and the ability of immigrants to seek refuge and self-governance in a new land.

Today’s Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends) Tired of all this #Winning yet? – Another month, another sterling jobs report. The private sector beat “expert” expectations yet again by adding 164,000 new jobs during the month of July, finishing the month with an all-time record 157,288,000 Americans gainfully employed. Even more encouraging is the fact that almost 400,000 Americans moved from the part-time jobs that characterized the Obama economy to the good-paying full-time jobs that are the centerpiece of the Trump economy. This truly never, ever gets old. She’s gonna need some new script-writers. – The Chief of Staff...

Almost 30 years after “RoboCop†was released to theaters its modern incarnation has finally arrived.Huntington Park, a small city near Los Angeles in California, recently debuted its “HP RoboCop†(yes, they actually called it that) as a “deterrent to crime and disruptive activity.†Though seemingly innocuous, wrongdoers beware - while it is unclear the full array of functions the machine has it seems primarily geared towards having a 360-degree video mobile monitoring ability. While it seems the “RoboCop†is more a cute public relations effort than a truly transformational force or piece of equipment on its own, it is worth noting...
