Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) on Sunday again called on former Vice President Joe Biden to apologize for touting his relationships with segregationists, saying Biden’s former colleagues participated in a “disgusting system.” “It is one thing to work with people you have fundamental disagreements with, it’s another to kind of extol those relationships,” Sanders said on CBS’ “Face the Nation” Sunday. “You cannot be extolling people who really were part of a disgusting system.” “I think Joe owes the country an apology on that,” Sanders said, adding “Do I think Joe Biden is a racist? Absolutely not.” Biden sparked controversy last...

I’m publicly asking the Washington Post to please either confirm or debunk PJ Media’s “evidence†that Ilhan Omar married her brother in order to commit immigration fraud PJ Media is a right wing website. It’s not considered to be part of the mainstream media, and you certainly can’t cite it as a source when adding content to wikipedia. That being said, I am a long term reader of PJ Media, and I tend to view most of what it publishes as being credible. I certainly don’t have anything against the website.PJ Media has published what it claims are photographs, school records, and...

It was a hypothetical question about getting information on a political opponent from a foreign national. Yet President Trump’s response sparked a furor—one that was long on accusations and short on the actual law governing federal campaigns. Here’s the bottom line: a federal candidate who is freely given information is not receiving a “contribution” or “thing of value” and is thus not violating federal campaign finance law or the regulations issued by the Federal Election Commission (FEC). I know. I served as an FEC Commissioner. If getting dirt on an opponent were a “thing of value,” then any adverse information...

[Catholic Caucus] Desecrating the Legacy of the American Martyr St. Jean de Brébeuf “On March 16,” writes a modern-day Jesuit of his forebear in faith, the missionary martyr St. Jean de Brébeuf, “the Iroquois attacked the village and took the Hurons, who were mainly Christians, along with Jean and another Jesuit, Gabriel Lalement, prisoner. He knew that the possibility of martyrdom was imminent.”What happened next is the kind of brutality that makes many people squeamish about even the idea of martyrdom: The Iroquois heated hatchets until they were glowing red and, tying them together, strung them across his shoulders, searing his flesh....

Only one day after mayors and governors around the country stood in unison to support people breaking the law, the President has temporarily put on hold plans to have ICE detain and deport large numbers of illegal aliens in as many as ten cities. Is this a sign that he’s suddenly “seen the light†and decided that enforcing our immigration laws isn’t such a big deal? Not in the slightest. Instead, he might be angling for a better immigration bill out of Congress. And according to CNN, the change in plans was prompted by a call from Nancy Pelosi. House...

It's as obvious as the nose on your face. The Democrats are going to vote impeach Trump without a specifying crime. They will say he colluded with the Russians, despite the Mueller report says that he did not. They will say he Obstructed Justice by firing FBI director Comey (but not firing the Special Counsel Mueller). They will make up, out of whole cloth whatever is necessary to support a vote on Trumps Impeachment in the U.S.House of Representatives. They will do this to weaken Trump in the next election, as they know the vote has no chance in the...

The three Apollo 10 astronauts are zipping through the desolate expanse of space, the Earth a small blue marble behind them, on a mission poised to set the stage for one of humanity’s seminal achievements, when, suddenly, astronaut Tom Stafford called out from inside the cramped spacecraft: “Oh — who did it?” After some confusion, he repeated himself: “Who did it?” He was laughing. Then astronaut Gene Cernan spotted the source of the commotion: “Where did that come from?” “Give me a napkin quick,” Stafford said, horrified. “There’s a turd floating through the air.” Ah, the glamour of space travel....

The Democrats and liberal media insist that Russia wanted Trump to win over Crooked Hillary. The entire premise is ridiculous. The Russians had enough dirt on Hillary to fill the White House. And still failed. On Sunday former prosecutory and Rep. Trey Gowdy joined Maria Bartiromo on Sunday Morning Futures. (video)

Former Vice President Joe Biden likened the cultural effects of President Trump's election to the assassinations of former Sen. Robert F. Kennedy and Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., in a Saturday interview with Al Sharpton. During a discussion in South Carolina that touched on criminal justice reform, Biden argued that Trump's rise to power had awakened an entire generation to the necessity of getting involved in politics, much like the violent murders of political figures did for baby boomers in the 1960s. "I think what’s happening now is, I think that Donald Trump may have reawakened sensibilities in this country...

President Trump has expressed his willingness to open talks with Iranian officials without any preconditions – saying that he doesn’t want a war with the Islamic Republic, but if it comes down to an armed conflict it will be “obliteration like you've never seen before.” In an interview that aired Sunday on NBC’s “Meet The Press,” Trump said the only line he was drawing in the sand when it came to discussions with Iran was that the country could not have a nuclear weapon. “I'm not looking for war and if there is, it'll be obliteration like you've never seen...

June 2019 is an “especially menacing time” for Christians both on the domestic and international fronts, writes Christian persecution expert John L. Allen in a report Sunday. The U.S. Catholic Church is facing “one of the most serious potential violations of religious freedom in its history in the form of SB 360 in California,” writes Allen, author of the 2013 bestseller The Global War on Christians: Dispatches from the Front Lines of Anti-Christian Persecution, since the bill would compel priests to reveal information learned while hearing confessions as evidence against possible sex offenders. “The bill passed the California senate in...
