Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) on Sunday again called on former Vice President Joe Biden to apologize for touting his relationships with segregationists, saying Biden’s former colleagues participated in a “disgusting system.”
“It is one thing to work with people you have fundamental disagreements with, it’s another to kind of extol those relationships,” Sanders said on CBS’ “Face the Nation” Sunday. “You cannot be extolling people who really were part of a disgusting system.”
“I think Joe owes the country an apology on that,” Sanders said, adding “Do I think Joe Biden is a racist? Absolutely not.”
Biden sparked controversy last week when he recounted his working relationship with vocal civil rights opponents Sens. James O. Eastland (D-Miss.) and Herman Talmadge (D-Ga.).
“At least there was some civility. We got things done. We didn't agree on much of anything. We got things done. We got it finished,” Biden said.

I predict if Slow Joe Biden is the eventual nominee, Bernie will be back on the "unity" game. With an additional house; perhaps offshore money banked somewhere.

Biden does not seem to realize that you cannot “work” with people with whom you disagree.
They must be killed and their graves salted for at least decades.
I think Sen. Sanders needs to apologize to this nation for giving political cover to Maduro and other dictators of disgusting systems that are wrecking havoc on millions of lives and costing the American taxpayers billions.
Senator Sanders’ mother needs to apologize to the Nation for giving birth to him. A bigger waste of oxygen is hard to find.
This entire frenzy about Biden’s relationships with segregationists is hysteria about one fat fly circling the steamy pile that is the DemonCRAP Party. Hopefully, the American electorate will provide cleanup of this hazmat condition threatening America’s health.
Bingo— remember when ole Bern was extolling the virtues of Chavez and model country Venezuela? Now he says nothing and won’t admit he was wrong. Bernie is a very unwise old man and he’s a little cuckoo in the head.
He’d have at least avoided the bogus racism charges if he’d used working with some innocuous RINOs, like Bob Dole and John McCain, as examples. Of course, given the pure DemonShit hatred for all Republicans, even that might not have saved him. Nevertheless, his choice of examples shows how tone deaf he is.
Sorry Bernie, but anybody who gives political cover as a sitting United States senator to the likes of Nicholas Maduro is in no position to go all revisionist on Joe Biden. Bernie cannot be counted on to stand against corruption and kleptocrats when it is easy to do. Do you really think this man will lift a FINGER against corruption, cronyism, and graft when there is any sort of price to pay for doing so?!

He’s nothing but an old unreformed Marxist who is only too happy to turn us into a corrupt hell hole. The way to go after the proggies like him is to expose their corruption. Their voters have no interest in having their futures stolen to fund lost decades of corruption, graft, and nepotism.
The problem with Sanders' position is that nobody has the right to tell the people of another state whom they can send as their representatives.
It is incumbent on all in Congress to find a way to work with all who've been sent by the several states. The states themselves are sovereign governments, elections are state affairs, and House and Senate rules forbid direct debate with each other as all are supposed to address the chair.
If they cannot do that then they can leave. Otherwise, their only recourse is to try to have the other person expelled.
Should we say that Tlaib and Omar are part of a "disgusting system" and should be shunned, or do we say that as long as their states sent them, they must be dealt with within the rules of the Congress?
