Those of us ensnared in litigation without end will surely feel a measure of sympathy and perhaps a dreadful portent in the manner of Mohamed Morsi's passing: He collapsed and died in court. I don't doubt that, as a group of British barristers found, the conditions in which he was held by his successor meet the definition of torture, and his various trials and re-trials were a joke. But, other than in his confinement and demise, he was not a sympathetic character, at least not to any non-Egyptians other than Turkish strongman ErdoÄŸan, who hailed him as a "martyr". Beyond...

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., refused to apologize Wednesday for labeling migrant detention centers as "concentration camps." "I will never apologize for calling these camps what they are," she tweeted response to a call by House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy's, R-Calif., for her to apologize. "DHS ripped 1000s of children from their parents & put them in cages w inhumane conditions," she added. "They call their cells 'dog pounds' & 'freezers.' If that makes you uncomfortable, fight the camps, not the nomenclature." Ocasio-Cortez also retweeted Rep. Jared Huffman, D-Calif., who accused the GOP of engaging in "fake outrage." "There's a lot...

Acting Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director Mark Morgan, in an exclusive interview with Hill.TV, criticized Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) for likening U.S. detention facilities for undocumented immigrants to concentration camps. "Its completely inappropriate, it's reckless, it's irresponsible, it's misinformed, and it's flat out wrong," Morgan told Hill.TV on Tuesday.

Well, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) caused House Democrats a lot of heartburn over her past anti-Semitic antics. It led to a fiasco over a non-binding resolution condemning hate, which some Democrats felt singled Omar out. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi might say that the Omar-Ocasio-Cortez faction of the caucus is small, but they sure have clout. A large swath of the 2020 field has backed Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s (D-NY) Green New Deal. What the Omar situation has shown is that Pelosi is either incapable or unwilling to get her rowdy members under control. Now, Ocasio-Cortez has decided to deliver another hot take:...

Why then, with all of the overwhelming evidence around us, evidence that even I can see sitting at a coffee shop, do we not view this as prosperity? We have people who are dying to get into our country. People around the world destitute and truly impoverished. Yet, we have a young generation convinced they’ve never seen prosperity, and as a result, elect politicians dead set on taking steps towards abolishing capitalism. Why? The answer is this: My generation has ONLY seen prosperity. We have no contrast. We didn’t live in the Great Depression, or live through two world wars,...

And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.( 2 Thessalonians 2:11-12)A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land; The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof? (Jeremiah 5:30-31)I have been exploring the widespread acceptance of what fairly recently would have been absolutely unacceptable. One of example of this is “Gay Pride month” and all...

Conservative party members would be prepared to sacrifice the union, destroy their party or suffer economic damage to get the UK out of the European Union, a poll has suggested. The YouGov survey of party members – who will decide the next prime minister – suggests that almost half (46 per cent) would be happy to see the Brexit Party’s Nigel Farage as their new leader. Despite the strong support for Brexit, even if it had major repercussions, Conservative and Unionist Party members indicated they would be prepared to call it off rather than see Jeremy Corbyn enter Number 10....

The United States Prevention Services Task Force has given a grade A recommendation that private insurers must, by law, pay for PrEP without any deductibles, co-pays, or co-insurance costs falling on the consumer. The move is groundbreaking in that it will help motivate those most at-risk to start practicing PrEP, a prevention strategy that when used as directed makes it virtually impossible to contract HIV. According to the Affordable Care Act, which is the current law of the land, users of grade A and B recommended strategies should not be asked for co-payments or other cost sharing. As a result,...

Perhaps hearing the footsteps of Attorney General Bill Barr, U.S. Atty John Durham, and DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz getting closer, former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe crawled out from the rock he had been hiding under long enough last Thursday night to appear on CNN with Chris Cuomo. Like his yet unindicted co-conspirator and boss in the Russia “collusion delusion†coup attempt against President Trump, former FBI Director James Comey, McCabe sought to mask his own real crimes while joining the media frenzy over President Trump’s suggestion that he would at least listen to a foreign source reporting to...
