California Gov. Gavin Newsom on Monday pardoned seven former felons, including two Cambodian refugees the Trump administration wants to deport, in his first acts of clemency since the Democrat took office in January. Newsom adopted a policy of his predecessor, former Gov. Jerry Brown, to use his state constitutional authority to issue pardons to shield immigrants targeted by federal immigration officials.

How about this as a mental exercise: Try to remember back to the year 2009. It was only a decade ago, but it feels like a totally different era -- and in many ways it was. In 2009, most people didn't have smartphones. Late night television was still funny. The Democratic Party was still pretending to put the interests of American citizens above those of the rest of the world. In September of 2009, President Obama gave a speech about health care to a joint session of Congress. You may remember it. One of Obama's most emphatic promises in that...

The Minneapolis man accused of throwing a 5-year-old boy from a third-floor balcony at Mall of America last month has pleaded guilty to attempted premeditated first-degree murder. Emmanuel Aranda, 24, entered his plea Tuesday morning in Hennepin County court, admitting he knew throwing a child over a third-floor balcony could kill him. KSTP's Brett Hoffland reports Aranda agreed to a plea deal containing a sentence of 228 months (19 years)....

“Fox News balances a mix of bigotry, racism, and outright lies,” Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) declared Tuesday in her explanation of why she turned down an invitation to one of the network’s town hall events. In a series of tweets, Sen. Harris attacked Fox News, accusing the network of promoting the “life and death consequences” of racism and conspiracy theorists. […] Democrats who participate in the Fox News town hall will be allowing the hateful network to cash in on their popularity, (Sen.) Warren says: “I won’t ask millions of Democratic primary voters to tune into an outlet that profits...

Ok – this is pretty messed up. A second-grade boy asked if he could use the teacher’s restroom, as he was having stomach issues and was nervous to use the boy’s room at risk of being mocked. His teacher figured this CLEARLY meant he was transgender and took it upon herself to give that kid lessons on gender identity during his recess period. I kid you not. According to Fox 40: Parents in Woodburn said their 8-year-old son was held back from recess multiple times for one-on-one conversations about his gender identity – and they had no idea. The mother...

They claim that Cuban migrants are being given preferential treatment. (already crying victim before they get here) A large group of African migrants gathered on the south side of the Laredo Port of Entry to protest U.S. immigration policies that are keeping them from entering the U.S. to claim asylum, KGNS reported. The group claims that “not enough is being done” to help them get asylum into the U.S. In response to the protests of the African migrants waiting in Nuevo Laredo, U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials released a statement published by KGNS. “The number of inadmissible individuals CBP...

The U.S. attorney appointed to examine the origins of the Russia investigation has been working on his review “for weeks,” a person familiar with the process told Fox News on Tuesday, to probe "all intelligence collection activities" related to the Trump campaign during the 2016 presidential election. Fox News reported on Monday that Attorney General Bill Barr had assigned John Durham, the U.S. attorney in Connecticut, to conduct the inquiry into alleged misconduct and alleged improper government surveillance on the Trump campaign in 2016 as well as whether Democrats were the ones who improperly colluded with foreign actors.appointed to examine...

The Israeli government has warned Muslims that "insulting Israel" is forbidden by Islamic law because the country shares its name with a prophet. The Israeli Foreign Ministry's Arabic-language Twitter account on Saturday posted footage of an Egyptian cleric urging people to not curse the name of the Jewish state. "Did you know that insulting Israel is haram (forbidden)?" the government-run account said. The ministry cited Khaled al-Gindi - well-known pro-government sheikh - as the source of the religious edict. "Don't insult Israel.. the word 'Israel' is the name of a prophet in Islam. Take care to not let your tongue...

“Hello Intolerant, intellectually-challenged, psychotic, socialists! Your so-called business is in jeopardy. Rest assured this is not a threat but simply a warning that predicts your downfall. When your treasonist hypocrite lowlife Obama took our nation into despair (for 8 yrs) we didn’t do or say the things you do. Get over it, before it’s too late! BTW, there are a lot more of us than there are of you.’’ I’ve been getting hate mail for almost a year now, ever since I asked White House press secretary Sarah Sanders to leave my Lexington, Va., restaurant, the Red Hen, last June....

Ohhh, AOC. I can’t figure out if she’s so full of it she often trips over her own crap, or if she’s really, truly braindead. Just a few days ago, the Socialist Sweetheart revealed that her assertion that the world would end in “12 years” was OBVIOUSLY sarcasm and dry humor, and if you don’t get the joke, you’re just stupid. This is a technique of the GOP, to take dry humor + sarcasm literally and “fact check” it. Like the “world ending in 12 years” thing, you’d have to have the social intelligence of a sea sponge to think...

Madonna, ahead of Eurovision appearance in Tel Aviv, says she won’t bow “to suit someone’s political agenda.” “I’ll never stop playing music to suit someone’s political agenda nor will I stop speaking out against violations of human rights wherever in the world they may be,” Madonna said in a statement to Reuters. “My heart breaks every time I hear about the innocent lives that are lost in this region and the violence that is so often perpetuated to suit the political goals of people who benefit from this ancient conflict. I hope and pray that we will soon break free...

Disgraced former congressman Anthony “Carlos Danger” Weiner has completed his sentence for sending sexual text messages to an underage girl. “It’s good to be out,” Weiner said, with a heavy dose of optimism. “I hope to be able to live a life of integrity and service. I’m glad this chapter of my life is behind me.” But Weiner will remain registered as a level 1 sex offender — categorized as such because of a “low risk of repeat offense” despite his numerous indiscretions. Weiner’s sentence came after a series of sexual indiscretions torpedoed his political aspirations, culminating in a conviction...

Leftist Democrat politicians on Capitol Hill continue to lose their minds after the Treasury Department denied requests and ignored a subpoena for President Trump's tax returns. "As you have recognized, the Committee's request is unprecedented, and it presents serious constitutional questions, the resolution of which may have lasting consequences for all taxpayers. Accordingly, the Department of the Treasury has consulted with the Department of Justice concerning the lawfulness of your request. As explained in my April 23 letter, the Committee's statutory authority under section 6103(f) is bounded by Congress's authority under the Constitution, and the Supreme Court has held that the...

Attorney General John Yoo told Fox News's Laura Ingraham Monday night. And the reason why is, by appointing a U.S. attorney, Attorney General Barr is essentially signaling that he thinks it's possible that criminal violations occurred in the start of the whole investigation into any kind of Trump-Russian collusion. As Judge Barr said, there is already an inspector general investigation that's going to come to a conclusion. That's what you would do if you were just interested in reforming the way the department does things, the way decisions were made. But you wouldn't go with a U.S. Attorney like Durham,...

Weary of battling with the President, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif) demands that he "self-impeach. Almost everyone in Washington agrees that he is the most despicable person to ever hold public office. Just the other day Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer expressed the same opinion. And behind closed doors, most of our Republican colleagues concur. Surely the hatred of this man has reached critical mass." Pelosi suggested that "impeaching himself might be the only way to avert the intelligence community from arranging his assassination. He should take a lesson from history. If the CIA could successfully eliminate as beloved a...
