  • Media, Activists Push Abortion on Mother’s Day: ‘Moms Deserve Better’

Abortion warps one of the most natural loves in the world – that of a mother for her child. But many in the media, along with abortion activists and organizations, missed the irony as they took advantage of Mother’s Day to call for unrestricted abortion. The pro-life movement recognizes that motherhood begins at conception, when another human life begins to grow inside of a woman. But, according to organizations like Planned Parenthood, America’s largest abortion provider, abortion allows women who are already pregnant to choose motherhood.“Happy Mother's Day!” Planned Parenthood Action tweeted on May 12. “It’s important now more than ever to...
  • 'One of the most important endorsements in America right now' (Cortez?)

The Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez primary is heating up. For the second time in five days, the star freshman congresswoman is appearing alongside Bernie Sanders at a high-profile event. Rep. Ro Khanna, co-chairman of Sanders' campaign, is talking with Ocasio-Cortez's staff about the primary. And Sanders' team told POLITICO that he and Ocasio-Cortez "have had phone calls.” Ocasio-Cortez's work on Sanders' 2016 campaign — and the fact that several staffers from that bid went on to work for her and the pro-Ocasio-Cortez group Justice Democrats — suggest the Vermont senator has the inside track for her coveted endorsement. But Sen. Elizabeth Warren...
  • Should the Liberty Bell Leave Philadelphia?

When most Americans think of Philadelphia -- although probably fewer today than ever before, given the low level of history education in American schools -- they probably think of the founding of the United States, the Liberty Bell and the city's nickname, the City of Brotherly Love. Having been to Philadelphia at least 20 times, I am among the many Americans who have warm feelings toward America's founding city. My daily radio show has a large and enthusiastic listener base there, and I have a son who lives nearby. So, it is with no joy that I write about the...

Just watched a local hit piece on Trump--and the report began by the 'journalist' saying Trump had the Hungarian PM in the White House. The foreign leader was said to have a legacy of "anti-immigration and anti-semitism". Well, I looked at a few sources for his "anti-semitism", and it seems to be that the PM of Hungary, Viktor Orban, merely DOESN'T WANT GEORGE SOROS meddling in the nation's affairs. Am I missing something? Does Bibi consider Orban a Jew hater, or is this just the media defending Soros?

It was a big day for the kids in Mr. Ratburn’s grade-school class — and, by extension, the children (and parents) who watch the long-running PBS Kids series Arthur. In today’s Season 22 premiere of the animated show, Arthur and his friends learn that their teacher Mr. Ratburn was going to be married. What none of them was expecting is that he is tying the knot with an aardvark named Patrick. The episode, titled “Mr. Ratburn and the Special Someone,” shows the teacher taking a cell phone call while preparing to hand out a pop quiz on homework.

Full Title: Supreme Court’s conservatives overturn precedent as liberals ask ‘which cases the court will overrule next’ The Supreme Court’s conservative majority overturned a 41-year-old precedent Monday, prompting a pointed warning from liberal justices about “which cases the court will overrule next.” The issue in Monday’s 5 to 4 ruling was one of limited impact: whether states have sovereign immunity from private lawsuits in the courts of other states. In 1979, the Supreme Court ruled that there is no constitutional right to such immunity, although states are free to extend it to one another and often do. But the court’s...

Full title: Hummingbird Robots 1, Drones 0 Engineers just built a bird bot that can fly better than unmanned aerial vehicles. Engineers at Purdue have built a flying robot to mimic one of the most expert flyers in the natural world: the hummingbird.... ... After going through the training, the robot has an understanding, so to speak, of when to pause and when to take flight. Even more impressive? The robot can't actually see. It senses by touching surfaces, with each touch altering an electrical current.

The release of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report made clear that Donald Trump obstructed justice, leading many Americans across the political spectrum, and a number of Democratic presidential candidates, to conclude he deserves to be impeached. House Democrats know that President Trump is unfit for office and that they hold the power to begin impeachment proceedings. Yet instead of acting on the merits of the situation, they appear consumed with whether or not they will suffer politically for it. At the moment, House Democrats led by Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-San Francisco, insist that any action toward impeachment — however warranted...

The ancient bones and teeth of a previously unknown human relative — one that was even smaller than the so-called Hobbit — have been discovered deep in a cave on an island in the Philippines. The newfound species is named Homo luzonensis in honor of Luzon, the island where the mysterious beings lived during the late Pleistocene epoch, more than 50,000 years ago. At less than 4 feet (1.2 meters) tall, H. luzonensis is the second known dwarf human on record, the first being Homo floresiensis, also known as the Hobbit, whose remains were found on the Indonesian island of...

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Prosecutors cannot use secretly recorded video allegedly showing New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft engaging in massage parlor sex, a judge ruled Monday, striking a serious blow to their case against him and others charged with soliciting prostitutes at the Orchids of Asia Day Spa. In his 10-page ruling, Judge Leonard Hanser wrote that Jupiter police detectives and the judge who issued the search warrant allowing the secret installation of cameras at the spa did not do enough to minimize the invasion of privacy of customers who only received legal massages. Hanser also ruled...
