If President Trump hibernated for the next 20 months he’d likely win reelection in a landslide. Of course it is not in his nature to do anything remotely like that, but that is how radical the Democratic Party has become in really just the past year. Yes, it has been trending this direction for a long time. But Bill Clinton was nominated and elected in 1992 based on his promise to take the Democratic Party back to the center. Since that time, however, it has moved much further to the left. In the past year, however, it has jumped to...

Today Governor DeWine signed into law House Bill 86, sponsored by Representative Phil Plummer (R-Dayton). This emergency legislation corrects a drafting error by the Legislative Services Commission (LSC) in the passed version of HB 228 at the end of the last legislative session. It clarifies contradictory language on firearms, specifically what is and what is not “dangerous ordnance.” HB 86 contains an emergency clause. This means the confusing language from HB 228 is corrected immediately upon the bill taking effect on March 28, 2019. No firearms were ever banned as a result of this swift action by the Ohio General...

O n Friday morning I was sitting alone gumming a bowl of oatmeal in the breakfast area of a Hampton Inn in Pontiac, Illinois, when I was assaulted by an absurdity on the widescreen TV. There I was, calmly minding my own business, keeping my big mouth shut for a change, opening it only for the next scoop of tastelessness. Just then, a group of maniacs from the Today show ruined my tranquility by babbling obliviously and ecstatically about International Women’s Day. International Women’s Day? Seriously? Had I slipped back in time a hundred years ago to, er, Leningrad, March...

The Evening Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends) She’s against impeaching President Donald Trump until she’s for it. – Hey, know how to tell Nancy Pelosi’s lying? Her lips are moving! Hah-hah-hahhhhhh! Ok, yeah, it’s an old joke. Sadly for the nation, where San Fran Nan is concerned, it’s 100% true. Monday afternoon, she told the Washington Post in an interview that she is opposed to moving to impeach President Trump, “unless (isn’t there always an “unless” or a “but” whenever any Democrat makes a “promise”?) there’s something so compelling and overwhelming and bipartisan” that it becomes unavoidable.

...In 2010, Lt. Col. (retired) Oliver North visited the ranch where Ashurst lives. He was working on documentaries called “War Stories.” He was accompanied by Chuck Holton, a freelance war correspondent and former U.S. Army Ranger who has worked with North on his films and books. When the caravans of illegal immigrants began forming last year in southern Mexico, Holton was sent there to report on them. Ashurst shared some of the information he received from Holton. The migrants are not being paid to join the caravans, but they are being supported and encouraged to join by opposition political elements...

Other experts, including Mr. Aguilar, said the magnitude of the blackout indicated the problem was caused by a major failure inside Guri’s turbines. This feature is brought to you by the Wouldn’t It Be Nice department of New York State News. After yet another wave of liberal policies being signed into law and sending more sensible citizens fleeing the state, New York Republicans have once again resurrected a favorite plan from days past. Republican Assemblyman David DiPietro has introduced a bill that would split up the Empire State into three sections. This wouldn’t result in two new states, but rather three autonomous regions, each with their own governor and legislature. (Washington Times) For decades, David DiPietro has watched his community in western...

In desperate circumstances people are often driven to perform feats of mythical proportions. In the late 1100s the medieval kingdom of Georgia was resisting the onslaught of the Mongol hordes, the most devastating force Europe had ever seen. Queen Tamar ordered the construction of this underground sanctuary in 1185, and the digging began, carving into the side of the Erusheli mountain, located in the south of the country near the town of Aspindza. When completed this underground fortress extended 13 levels and contained 6000 apartments, a throne room and a large church with an external bell tower. It is assumed...

Idaho lawmakers had their first official hearing about climate change — and no one argued about its existence or causes. The House Environment, Energy and Technology committee hearing on Wednesday, carefully scripted through negotiations between the Republican majority and Democrats, represented a new phase in an evolving transformation. The impacts of a changing climate on Idaho are not new to residents who now annually suffer through “smoke season” in the summer. Climate change isn’t new to residents who, in early March, flock to earlier spring runoffs that show why Shoshone Falls on the Snake River at Twin Falls is “the...

The Boeing 737 MAX, the type of plane involved in a deadly crash in Ethiopia over the weekend, is still airworthy and the Federal Aviation Administration plans to issue a notice to the international aviation community later Monday, a person familiar with the matter said. "The FAA continuously assesses and oversees the safety performance of U.S. commercial aircraft," the FAA said in a statement. "If we identify an issue that affects safety, the FAA will take immediate and appropriate action." Aviation officials in China and Indonesia ordered domestic airlines to ground their fleets of the popular Boeing single-aisle planes after...
