Chris Sevier says that if same-sex couples are able to get married and demand that Christian bakers make them wedding cakes, then he should be allowed to marry his laptop and demand a cake to celebrate the union between one man and one machine. The self-identified “machinist” says he married his laptop in a ceremony in New Mexico, and now he has sued to demand that a Colorado baker — who is already in court after refusing to bake for a same-sex marriage — must be compelled to make cakes for him and his computer “bride.” He also has filed...

A man is charged with attempted murder and a raft of firearms offences after helping fend off home invaders, one of whom he’s now charged with shooting. Kyle Earl Munroe was arrested on July 12 after RCMP and Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a home invasion involving firearms at a home in Porters Lake. Police said that three men entered the residence with guns and a struggle took place with two men inside. The two in the home seized a firearm from one of the suspects and several shots were fired as the suspects fled. Police later...

Proverb 31 (NKJV) The Words of King Lemuel's Mother 01 The words of King Lemuel, 00 the utterance which his mother taught him: 02 What, my son? 00 And what, son of my womb? 00 And what, son of my vows? 03 Do not give your strength to women, 00 Nor your ways to that which destroys kings. 04 It is not for kings, O Lemuel, 00 It is not for kings to drink wine, 00 Nor for princes intoxicating drink; 05 Lest they drink and forget the law, 00 And pervert the justice of all the afflicted. 06...

President Trump gave an impassioned speech on Friday, vowing to "destroy the vile criminal cartel" MS-13 -- but some in the media lambasted him for talking tough about the brutal gang, and instead presented sympathetic coverage of the group known for carrying out gruesome murders. Trump's Friday speech on Long Island, where MS-13 gang members have wreaked havoc, highlighted his plan to crack down on gang violence and enforce immigration policies to prevent criminals from illegally entering the United States. "[MS-13 has] transformed peaceful parks and beautiful quiet neighborhoods into blood-stained killing fields. They’re animals. We cannot tolerate as a...

Can profits really grow in double-digits in an economy bumping along at 2%? That's the question that investors should be asking, and instead ignore at their peril. We've all heard the Wall Street bulls' mantra, endlessly advanced by analysts and market strategists, that a renewed surge in profits will keep equity prices waxing. The current consensus among analysts forecasts that reported S&P earnings-per-share will jump from $100.29 in Q1 of 2017 (based on the past four quarters) to $133 by the end of 2018, an annualized increase of over 18%. Of course, those consensus forecasts are always inflated. But even...

An Antifa organization called Redneck Revolt is advocating for “revolution” against the rise of “fascism” in the United States, and the end of capitalism. To facilitate these goals, the group offers a variety of resources, including a training manual for conducting guerrilla warfare with sections for “executions” and “terrorism.” In the wake of the targeted shooting of Republican members of Congress earlier this year, nothing is more concerning than extremist organizations calling for armed revolts against civil society. Redneck Revolt is one of several organizations to spring up following Trump’s victory at the 2016 polls, and is purportedly one of...

"Obtaining as the outcome of your faith the salvation of your souls" (1 Pet. 1:9). Your present deliverance sets you free from the penalty and power of sin. In 1 Corinthians 1:18 Paul says that "the word of the cross is to those who are perishing foolishness, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God" (emphasis added). That emphasizes the marvelous reality of the believer's present deliverance from sin. Peter stressed the same truth in 1 Peter 1:8, where he says that believers obtain as the outcome of their faith the salvation of their souls....

“For as long as you practice these things, you will never stumble” (2 Peter 1:10). Assurance of salvation lets us enjoy earthly blessings. It is encouraging that scriptural assurance results in specific, practical blessings in the Christian life. Here are six I’d like to share with you today. Assurance makes you praise God. There is no way you can be filled with praise and gratitude to God if you’re not sure you’re saved. Assurance adds joy to your earthly duties and trials. No matter what happens to you, you can be certain that all will work out well in the...

When former President Barack Obama mocked Donald Trump for suggesting that there could even be such a thing as voter fraud: “What? What does that even mean?” It was clear to all those who had not drunk the Kool-Aid that not only was it possible, but that it was likely, and likely on an enormous scale. The MSM told us simple viewers how wonderful the voting system was and that the machines couldn’t be tampered with and that the electoral integrity was assured…and don’t forget to laugh at the guy who suggested it. Well we weren’t so silly after all....

The suddenly chic term “snowflake” seems, at first glance, to be an apt insult for the leftist radicals that have become so numerous in American universities in recent years. But is it a fitting metaphor? The "beautiful and unique" part of the term works well. Such students have an inflated estimation of their uniqueness, individuality and importance. They are driven partly by the belief that they are special and uniquely enlightened, and that their feelings carry more weight than those of other people. The "perfect conditions only" aspect of the analogy is also apt. Like snowflakes that can abide only...

The Flood, Catastrophic Plate Tectonics, and Earth History by Jake Hebert, Ph.D. * Evidence for Creation Although evolutionary scientists insist there is no evidence for the global, Earth-destroying Flood described in Genesis, accepting the Genesis Flood as literal history enables researchers to make sense of a wide array of geological, climatic, and cultural data. Fossils in Water-Deposited Rocks Most of Earth’s land surface is covered with sedimentary rocks or sediments, which are formed when pre-existing rock material is weathered. The resulting sediment is then transported to another location by water, wind, or glacial action. Even secular geologists acknowledge that nearly...

A spiritual awakening is underway at the White House. Some of the most powerful people in America have been gathering weekly to learn more about God's Word, and this Trump Cabinet Bible study is making history. They've been called the most evangelical Cabinet in history – men and women who don't mince words when it comes to where they stand on God and the Bible. Ralph Drollinger of Capitol Ministries told CBN News, "These are godly individuals that God has risen to a position of prominence in our culture." They're all hand-picked by President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike...
