The House Democrat IT staffer who was arrested last week for bank fraud, was reportedly liquidating assets, even on the day of his arrest. According to The Daily Caller, Imran Awan, the 37-year-old congressional aide who was caught trying to flee the country to Pakistan, and his wife accepted the offer of one home that had the asking price of $618,000 and listed another property for $200,000, both on July 24, the same day he was nabbed at Dulles International Airport by the FBI, U.S. Capitol Police, and Customs and Border Protection. This follows other strange activity, including wiring $300,000...

A week has passed since the arrest of former House staffer Imran Awan, and the establishment media have given the event only superficial coverage. Awan, a Pakistani immigrant, was formerly employed by more than 30 House Democrats as an IT technician. Most members fired him following the announcement in February of an FBI probe into his potentially criminal behavior during his tenure as a Hill staffer. However, he remained an employee of Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz’s D.C. office until he was arrested last Monday while attempting to flee to Pakistan. News of Awan’s arrest first broke on Fox News the morning...

Republican lawmakers called Friday for Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz to account for the arrested IT staffer who she kept on a generous payroll until Tuesday. After Wasserman Schultz’s tech man Imran Awan was arrested by federal agents while trying to flee the country wiring ahead hundreds of thousands of dollar to his native Pakistan, several Republican congressmen expressed their view to the Washington Free Beacon that the Florida congresswoman and former Democratic National Committee Chairwoman owed an explanation. While Wasserman Schultz refused to fire Awan even after the criminal investigation into his alleged conduct became public in February, many of...

This raises questions. The obvious one is: Why? Wasserman Schultz’s explanation is that the Capitol police would not show her the evidence against him. She therefore assumed he might be victims of anti-Muslim profiling. Only after Awan was arrested at Dulles Airport and accused of bank fraud was Wasserman Schultz willing to drop her assumption that he was a victim, and fire him. Wasserman Schultz’s explanation rings hollow. According to Rosiak, all other House members who employed Awan or members of his family fired them after the February revelations. This includes Andre Carson of Indiana, who is Muslim. Carson has...

The case for Trident – disposing of common arguments against renewing Britain’s nuclear weapons capability and the Royal Navy’s Successor submarines. In 2016 Parliament approved the construction of 4 replacement of ‘Successor’ ballistic missile submarines for the Royal Navy. Despite majority public support, a very vocal minority opposes British nuclear weapons and the subject continues to be hotly debated. The current Vanguard class submarines, built during the 1990s needs to be replaced in order to safely and reliably maintain deterrent patrols. This project does not involve procurement of any new warheads or an upgrade in nuclear capability. The US-made Trident...

The opposition research firm behind the infamous Trump dossier, Fusion GPS, worked with several prominent media outlets to spread dirt on President Trump’s alleged ties to Russia. Those same media outlets, which have enthusiastically pounced on every new detail regarding the Russia investigation, have been oddly disinterested in probing into the crucial role of Fusion GPS. The British spy Fusion GPS hired to craft the dossier, Christopher Steele, leaned on anonymous Russian sources in crafting the dossier for Fusion GPS. Steele’s lawyers revealed in court filings that, in September 2016, Steele briefed reporters from The New York Times, The Washington...

For over a thousand years Roman conquerors returning from the wars enjoyed the honor of triumph, a tumultuous parade. In the procession came trumpeteers, musicians and strange animals from conquered territories, together with carts laden with treasure and captured armaments. The conquerors rode in a triumphal chariot, the dazed prisoners walking in chains before him. Sometimes his children robed in white stood with him in the chariot or rode the trace horses. A slave stood behind the conqueror holding a golden crown and whispering in his ear a warning: that all glory is fleeting.” ― George S. Patton Jr. I...

AmericaÂ’s largest companies are on pace to post two consecutive quarters of double-digit profit growth for the first time since 2011, helped by years of cost-cutting, a weaker dollar and stronger consumer spending. Earnings at S&P 500 companies are expected to rise 11% in the second quarter, according to data from Thomson Reuters, following a 15% increase in the first quarter. Close to 60% of the firms in the index have reported second-quarter results so far. Even as activity inside the Beltway bogged down, the markets have been on an almost nonstop rally since the election. The S&P 500 is...

Both the Convention of States (COS) Movement and Barack Obama’s Organizing for Action (OFA) pursue change, but from entirely different foundations and for opposing purposes. The former works to restore the best of the American Tradition; the latter works to destroy what is left of it. I fear we are losing the war for the American Soul. While the foundations of the American Tradition are beyond reproach and easily defended, the Obamatons simply out-organize us. When I visited the OFA website [https://www.ofa.us/about-ofa/] , I foolishly expected a bold mission statement of Progressivism, a smack between the eyes with exactly what...

Fox News has such an influence on Donald Trump that US journalists now react to the president’s proclamations on Twitter by searching for the Fox and Friends segment that inspired them. This intimate feedback loop between the Fox morning show and the president has made it “the most powerful TV show in America”, in the words of a New York Times critic. For Rupert Murdoch, a ruthless player in conservative politics across continents, such influence is striking. But it’s not new. Liberal critics of the administration, however, are now turning the spotlight on what they see as a troubling new...

â—¾Russian Collusion is a narrative to hide real crimes. â—¾Robert Mueller handed over Uranium to the FSB. â—¾Testimony implicates Russians in trying to bring down President Trump. For over six months, the idea that there was collusion between President Trump and shadowy figures in the Russian government has been played out in the news media as if it were the most important issue of a generation. But the reality is much sadder. Two new pieces of evidence have come out that signify not only was President Trump not involved in an attempt to defraud the American voters but that the...

SEOUL, South Korea — South Korea announced Saturday that it will soon start talks with the Trump administration about allowing Seoul to build more powerful ballistic missiles to counter the North, but current and former American officials said the move would have little effect on the most urgent problem facing Washington: North Korea’s apparent ability to strike California and beyond. The South’s newly elected president, Moon Jae-in, called for the relaxation of limits on its missile arsenal hours after the North launched an intercontinental ballistic missile, or ICBM, 2,200 miles into space, which landed its warhead just off the coast...
