Donald Trump has pulled level with Hillary Clinton in Pennsylvania, at 46 percent each, according to a new poll by Harper Polling. The poll shows “signs of the race trending Trump in the waning days of the campaign, Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are tied in the Keystone state (46-46%, 2% Johnson, 1% Stein, 4% Undecided),” said a statement by Harper Polling, which earns a good score in Nate Silver’s ranking of polling firms. Trump’s gain in Pennsylvania could be decisive, because he needs to win one of the traditionally Democratic states to reach the victory line at 270 Electoral...

Sitting out the decision is not an option The decision to vote, and for whom to vote, in this 2016 presidential election can be summed up in three ways. First, to not vote is not an option in my view. Rev. Dr. C. M. Alexander, pastor of Antioch Baptist Church North in Atlanta, gave the most compelling and succinct reason to vote. Namely, if you view this presidential election as voting for the lesser of two evils, don’t commit the third evil by not voting.

She also brought up how Trump supporters are quick to call her a “libtard,” but that she understands poverty, having grown up poor before her mother remarried a “really rich guy and we moved to Beverly Hills and it was like the Clampetts.”

Woodward speaking on Fox News Sunday. He says that the polls may be way off this year because people in certain demographics that are supposed to vote for Hillary may resent being classified as her voters and may be Trump voters.

Senator Hatfield, Mr. Chief Justice, Mr. President, Vice President Bush, Vice President Mondale, Senator Baker, Speaker O'Neill, Reverend Moomaw, and my fellow citizens: To a few of us here today this is a solemn and most momentous occasion, and yet in the history of our nation it is a commonplace occurrence. The orderly transfer of authority as called for in the Constitution routinely takes place, as it has for almost two centuries, and few of us stop to think how unique we really are. In the eyes of many in the world, this every 4-year ceremony we accept as normal...

http://johnrlott.blogspot.com/2016/11/libertarian-vp-nominee-bill-weldmy.html Libertarian VP nominee Bill Weld claims:"my belief is that the libertarian party pulls substantially more from Mr. Trump" @ 2:41 mark (video is available here). I had heard that Weld has been raising money with this message as a way of getting those who want Hillary to win to donate money. Consistent with that, it also just so happens that the big dollars that the libertarians have been spending have apparently been on conservative talk radio. The New York Times also has an op-ed saying that the Libertarians will tilt the election to Hillary Clinton. With just a few...

Hillary Clinton's campaign chairman John Podesta says members of the FBI who have shared information about the agency's investigation of her private server should "shut up." "I think the men and women of the FBI are doing a tremendous job out here across the country. But the leakers should shut up," Podesta said Sunday on NBC's "Meet the Press." Podesta called the leaks "worrisome." Democrats have pointed to former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani's claims that agents within the FBI are angry that Director James Comey hasn't recommended charges against Clinton. Democrats have criticized Comey for revealing to Congress...

An Iowa Congressman claimed on Sunday that Republicans on Capitol Hill have copies of the 650,000 emails the FBI recovered from a computer belonging to Anthony Weiner. 'The good thing is, Congress has preserved them for our access,' Iowa Rep. Steve King said before a Donald Trump rally in Sioux City. 'So the Weiner leaks, the WikiLeaks, you name your leaks, we've got our hands on all of them – 650,000 emails.' King also suggested that the number of emails related to the FBI investigation may be larger than 650,000. Hillary Clinton’s campaign has raised far more money from far more people than Donald Trump’s across Maine. But if you break out Clinton’s $1.5 million and Trump’s $153,000 by congressional district, the picture becomes less lopsided. In the 1st District, encompassing southern Maine, Clinton raised more than $13 for every $1 picked up by the Trump campaign. But her lead narrowed in the 2nd District, where the Democrat raised a little more than $4 for every $1 that went to her Republican rival, according to reports covering contributions through Oct. 25. The money race is no predictor of how the...

Hillary Clinton is one state away from losing the presidential election, FiveThirtyEight's Nate Silver said Sunday. While the Democratic presidential nominee has a 65.7 percent chance of winning the presidency on Tuesday, she is not "in a terribly safe position," the pollster said on ABC's "This Week." "The electoral map is actually less solid for Clinton than it was for Obama four years ago," Silver said. Silver came to notoriety by correctly predicting President Obama's victories in 2008 and 2012. Clinton is weaker among Midwestern voters, while Obama had leads in states like Ohio....

On April 11, 1986 eight FBI agents engaged in a lead slinging war with two criminals, and despite outnumbering the crooks by four-to-one, ended up losing two of their own in a debacle that changed both tactics and the choices of firearms for law enforcement as a whole. Michael Platt and William Matix were no good, despite not having a criminal record before they began their crime spree that ended their careers and lives. The two met while serving in Fort Campbell, Kentucky, Matix having been a former Marine before enlisting in the Army. Platt was a Ranger. Strangely enough,...

Ohio is an important swing state in next week's presidential election, and if Donald Trump fails to win the state, his path toward victory is very narrow. That's why AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka was in the state making sure that working people know how important their vote is. Here is some of the media coverage of Trumka's visit:Toledo Blade: "Before volunteers spent their time canvassing local neighborhoods to urge those to vote, which consisted of two three-hour shifts, Mr. Trumka, president of the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO), stopped by in support of Hillary Clinton...

Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe has granted voting rights to as many as 60,000 convicted felons just in time for them to register to vote, nearly five times more than previously reported and enough to win the state for his long-time friend, Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. McAuliffe sought to allow all of Virginia’s estimated 200,000 felons to vote, but state courts said each individual felon’s circumstances must be weighed. To get around that, McAuliffe used a mechanical autopen to rapidly sign thousands of letters, as if he had personally reviewed them, even as his office was saying the total was 13,000.
