Thousands of Americans – including at least one Hollywood superstar and a barefoot monk – braved the cold and snow Friday to join the 2016 March for Life in Washington on the anniversary of the Supreme Court’s 1973 Roe v. Wade decision legalizing abortion. Throngs of pro-lifers turned out, despite weather forecasts predicting a blizzard and three feet of snow. The crowds weren’t quite as large as they’ve been in previous years, as many bus routes had been canceled due to inclement weather. One pro-lifer captured a photo of Kelsey Grammer and wife, Kayte Walsh, at the event. Grammer, an...

WASHINGTON, D.C., January 22, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) – All the speakers at the 2016 March for Life play a pivotal role – but only one was regularly called an MVP. Matt Birk, the former center for the Minnesota Vikings and the Baltimore Ravens, proclaimed his support for women and unborn children this afternoon from the frosty dais of the March for Life. Birk explained the reasons his family attended the 43rd annual right-to-life event in a brief, straightforward, heartfelt speech. “I'm a football player,†he said. “I'll keep it simple.†“We march, because I've never heard a woman give birth to...

I was watching a mob documentary the other day on gangster "Crazy Joe" Gallo and it was mentioned that he modeled his real life character after a character in this movie, a thug named "Tommy Udo", portrayed by actor Richard Widmark. So I thought I'd see if I could find it on YouTube, and did. Turned out to be an excellent old-school gangster film. Some of you I'm sure have seen it. But, if not, it's one I'd recommend.

Dozens of Ted Cruz supporters gathered in a stairwell of a drab dormitory on a recent subfreezing morning, ready for their marching orders. "What is our purpose today?" bellowed Cruz campaign staffer Ken Brolin, 64. "Find undecided voters!" the volunteers replied in unison, before bundling up in scarves, snow boots and mittens, and marching out into the early morning light, ready to knock on hundreds of Iowans' doors. Welcome to Camp Cruz, the temporary home for an army of volunteers from around the country who have traveled to this snowbound state at their own expense. Their mission: to do all...

If you thought the Republican establishment was finally getting used to the idea that Donald Trump could become the party's nominee for president, the National Review would like to set the record straight. That's because the conservative magazine, according to CNN, will release on Friday an edition in which it declares that Trump is a threat to conservatism and that it officially opposes his candidacy. Included in the edition will be 22 conservative voices who have written essays to describe why Trump is a bad idea for the party.
