Police in Hudson and Pelham alerted citizens last week that skimming devices had been found on gas pumps at different stations. The devices appear like legitimate card scanners, but have actually been rigged to the machine in an attempt to gain the account information as the customer slides the card and uses the personal-identification number to complete the transaction. Dairon Julio Jimenez Roja, 25; Francisco Tamayo Noguera, 35; and Elvis Barban Chavez, 44, also known as Elvis Barban, were first arrested.

..."I don't think Ted Cruz has a great chance, to be honest with you," Trump told ABCNews Chief Anchor George Stephanopoulos in an interview on "This Week" Sunday. "Look, the truth is, he's a nasty guy. He was so nice to me. I mean, I knew it. I was watching. I kept saying, 'Come on Ted. Let's go, okay.' But he's a nasty guy. Nobody likes him. Nobody in Congress likes him. Nobody likes him anywhere once they get to know him. He's a very -- he's got an edge that's not good. You can't make deals with people like...

Washingtonians got their first close-up look Saturday at the giant panda cub Bei Bei, the new star of the National Zoo. Until now, the cub could be viewed only through the so-called Panda Cam, a video hookup that has allowed people to watch the now five-month-old cub since its birth. A line of visitors formed outside the panda enclosure on Saturday morning before opening time to get a look at the ball of fur inside its soundproof glass enclosed pen.

How does the death penalty in America end? For decades that has been an abstract question. Now there may be an answer in the case of Shonda Walter, a 36-year-old black woman on Pennsylvania's death row. On Friday, the Supreme Court met to discuss whether to hear a petition from Ms. Walter, who is asking the justices to rule that in all cases, including hers, the death penalty violates the Eighth Amendment's ban on cruel and unusual punishments.

Parts of Britain woke up to a blanket of snow this morning with up to five inches falling in some regions after temperatures plummeted to -11C overnight - and forecasters warn of more snow tonight. Areas including High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire, London, Kent, Surrey, Yorkshire, Cumbria and Northumberland all awoke to a coating of snow, while much of the country saw a heavy frost. The Met Office said up to five inches of snow was recorded in parts of Cumbria, the Pennines and on the Scottish borders while two inches fell in communities across west Yorkshire, including in the town...

Several conservative voices who were once supportive of Donald Trump, or at least open to him, are bristling at his latest tactics. A significant number of conservatives found Trump to be close to their pugnacious-style communicative ideal and Cruz to be close to their conservative policy ideal, and they don’t like watching the former beat up the latter on sketchy terms. “I don’t think Ted Cruz has a great chance, to be honest with you,” Trump said this morning to ABC News ‘George Stephanopoulos. “Look, the truth is, he’s a nasty guy. He was so nice to me. I mean,...

The fracas between the Republican presidential front-runners escalated Sunday as Donald Trump went after Ted Cruz's likability, calling him a "nasty guy." "Nobody likes him, nobody in Congress likes him, nobody likes him anywhere once they get to know him," Trump said in an interview airing on ABC's "This Week." After weeks of circling each other, the gloves came off between Cruz and Trump in Thursday's debate, as Trump questioned Cruz's birthright citizenship and Cruz attacked Trump's "New York values."

This isn't what the column's about, but should be said: It was strange Tuesday night to see the Republican chosen to give the State of the Union response go after the front-runner in her party's presidential primary. But then this is a strange year. South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley said that during "anxious times," the party should not follow “the angriest voices." She didn't name Donald Trump but later said her remark was "partially" aimed at him.[snip]...With one caveat. She later revealed that, like an obedient person not quite in tune with the spirit of the times, she had cleared...

Trip Gabriel, a reporter for the left-wing New York Times, is publicly whining about being ejected from a private Trump campaign event. Apparently the Times believes it can serially lie about Trump, attack him as a racist, and are still entitled to attend private events: I was late to Donald J. Trump’s unannounced visit to a Pizza Ranch on Friday, his first drop-by of this ubiquitous Iowa chain that is standard stop for candidates, but which Mr. Trump has avoided in favor of boisterous crowds in big halls. … There was a knot of TV cameras and still photographers, who...

A spokesman for the CIA is criticizing the Michael Bay movie "13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi" as a "distortion of the events and people who served in Benghazi that night." The spokesman, Ryan Trapani, was quoted in an exclusive Washington Post story, which also features an interview with the CIA chief in Benghazi on Sept. 11, 2012, when Ambassador Chris Stevens and three others were killed in a siege of the diplomatic compound and attack on the CIA annex. "No one will mistake this movie for a documentary," Tripani told the Post. "It's a distortion of the events...

Stock markets across the Middle East collapsed as the lifting of economic sanctions against Iran threatened to unleash a fresh wave of oil onto global markets that are already drowning in excess supply. All seven stock markets in Gulf states tumbled as panic gripped traders. Dubai's DFM General Index slumped 4.8pc to 2,682.56, while Saudi Arabia's Tadawul All Share Index collapsed by 7pc to 5,409.35, its lowest level in almost five years.

How the Fundamental Transformation of America, promoting Planned Parenthood, forcing foreign abortions on the American taxpayer could be filed under ‘ethical behavior’ are part of life’s über mysteries As far as is known, Pope Francis gave President Barack Hussein Obama two Rosaries. Obama gave Nancy Pelosi one Rosary blessed by the Pontiff. At lunch on April 1, 2014, Obama gave House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, who has referred to abortion as “sacred ground” his Pope-blessed Rosary one week after she was honoured with the Margaret Sanger Award by the largest abortion provider in America, Planned Parenthood. (LifeSiteNews) It has now...

The Black Lives Matter movement (BLM) casts itself as a spontaneous uprising born of inner city frustration, but is, in fact, the latest and most dangerous face of a web of well-funded communist/socialist organizations that have been agitating against America for decades. It's agitation has provoked police killings and other violence, lawlessness and unrest in minority communities throughout the U.S. If allowed to continue, that agitation could devolve into anarchy and civil war. The BLM crowd appears to be spoiling for just such an outcome. Nevertheless, BLM appears to be exercising considerable leverage over the Democratic Party, in part by...
