Among the many painful ironies in the current racial turmoil is that communities scattered across the country were disrupted by riots and looting because of the demonstrable lie that Michael Brown was shot in the back by a white policeman in Missouri — but there was not nearly as much turmoil created by the demonstrable fact that a fleeing black man was shot dead by a white policeman in South Carolina. Totally ignored was the fact that a black policeman in Alabama fatally shot an unarmed white teenager, and was cleared of any charges, at about the same time that...

We cannot possibly conform our culture to comply with the often-conflicting and ever-shifting religious sensibilities of both friends and enemies. But we can be a faithful friend to proven allies. Abandoning the Kurds until ISIS was on the outskirts of Erbil is far more dangerous than ten thousand Mohammad cartoons. Our precipitous withdrawal from Iraq alienated potential allies — driving them straight into Iran’s arms — far more than did Terry Jones (or anyone else) burning a Koran. Did we send a message of sensitivity or stupidity when we armed Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood government, then suspended support for the el-Sisi...

A coalition of youth and juvenile justice advocates called on the city school system Thursday to refrain from suspending or expelling teenagers arrested in last week's rioting in Baltimore. In the days after the melee outside Mondawmin Mall, which sparked rioting in other parts of Baltimore, city schools CEO Gregory Thornton said that students who participated in the incidents would face consequences. The Coalition to Reform School Discipline -- which includes the American Civil Liberties Union, Maryland Disability Law Center, Advocates for Children and Youth, and Office of the Public Defender -- issued a joint statement asking the school system...

The Committee, however, faces obstacles and frustrations. It is difficult to conduct a fact-Ââ€centric congressional investigation when the Administration impedes the CommitteeÂ’s progress by repeatedly failing to answer the CommitteeÂ’s requests or to provide information in a timely manner. Further, the legislative branchÂ’s constitutional toolbox seems inadequate to uphold our task in seeking the truth.

(via Eurekalert) The Sun is a huge source of energy. In just one hour planet Earth is hit by so much sunshine that humankind could cover its energy needs for an entire year if only we knew how to harvest and save it. But storing sunshine is not trivial. Now a student at Department of Chemistry, University of Copenhagen has researched his way to a breakthrough which may prove pivotal for technologies trying to capture the energy of the sun, and saving it for a rainy day. Anders Bo Skov has recently started studying for his Master’s degree in chemistry...

Jade Helm is spiraling out of control. By my reports, this unconstitutional and illegal activity has spread to over 40 states, not the seven states admitted to by Jade Helm personnel. Military and troop movements are continuing as we are seeing armored vehicles on city streets in New Hampshire. Michigan is receiving ISIS terrorist threats and the Jade Helm contingent at Camp Grayling has pledged they will stop any ISIS attack. Since the pre-Civil War days, the country has never seen days such as what we are witnessing today. The United States of America is being occupied by soon-to-be martial...

Sunday evening, May 3, 2015 two men armed with semi-automatic weapons and wearing body armor open fired on a security officer outside of the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas. They were on a mission to disrupt Pamela Geller’s contest for cartoon depictions of the Prophet Muhammad. The homegrown Islamic terrorists were killed by officers from the Garland Police Department. They were praised as “soldiers of the caliphate,” by the Islamic State. And they are here, in the United States, even as the administration and its wholly owned media try their best to deny the reality. Complacency In a PJ...

Rep. Tim Ryan (D-Ohio) says a bill will be introduced in the House that will “put a salad bar in every single school in the United States of America.” Speaking at the Religious Action Center’s “Consultation on Conscience” event last month, Ryan told the Washington D.C. audience about efforts that will help “begin to end poverty.” […] “It starts to paint the picture of the kind of system that we want,” Ryan continued. “Now, we have a lot of school districts in Ohio and across the country, 70, 80, 90 percent of the kids in the school will be Medicaid—free...

Much is being written about “the list” in which independent Americans, who do not drink from the Obama Koolaid, are on a list which will ultimately result in their loss of freedom and very possibly their lives. Some people are calling this list, “Main Core”. Advocates of the Main Core view state that a secret government hit list has been in place since the 1980’s. Some even wrongly suggest the Ed Snowden has revealed this information regarding Main Core to the world, when in fact, nothing could be further than the truth. Main Core’s Eight Million Names This “hit list”...

Millions of sincere Catholics wear the brown scapular thinking by doing so it will help them spiritually. They believed the report that Mary made and is backing a salvation promise in connection with the brown scapular hundreds of years ago based on their religious traditions. Over the years wearing the brown scapular has been perpetuated by sincere Catholic leaders, such as the one in this video, but it is in complete futility that it is worn. It is a false hope and a spiritual snare. It is not based on God’s truth and is, therefore, just as deadly for...

It’s been nearly three-and-a-half decades since I killed Edward Randolph, but when I fix my mind on those desperate seconds from the time he thrust the butcher’s knife he clasped with both his hands into my partner Dennis Azevedo’s chest and the moment I shot him flush in his own, it can seem like yesterday. After being stabbed in the chest and fending off several other attempts to murder him, Dennis fell flat on his back and Randolph leapt on top of him, trying to force the knife he held with both hands into Dennis’s throat. My first reaction when...

Today, in honor of the 70th anniversary of Victory Day in Russia (the country that imprisoned members of the Pussy Riot band for insulting Herr Putin) we focus on the unique American bedrock principle of free speech.Members of Pussy Riot awaiting the guilty verdictButt “free” doesn’t mean what you think it means…anymore. It’s more like what “free” means in Russia now, as we are being advised not to provoke while exercising our free speech. Bill O’Reilly said so, Donald Trump said so, Laura Ingraham said so and Chris Cuomo (brilliant law school graduate, son of Andrew and CNN legal correspondent)...

Well, the tragic news is out, people are trashing their campaign signs, putting the caps back on their spray paint cans and undreading their hair: Waka Flocka Flame is only 28 years of age and has multiple felonies to his name illegitimating his candidacy in the 2016 presidential race. On April 20, in an exclusive interview with Rolling Stone, Flame gave us the false hope of supplying the nation with endless marijuana. Why did you lead us on, Flocka? Why?! Flame announced his intention to run on 4/20 stating, “I’m very pleased to announce today, on 4/20, the best day...

Humans won in the competition because of Douglas Polk and Bjorn Li, who are the world's top players. Polk said that they managed to win and beat the computers and it's a victory of humans. Polk said, "We really managed to find some weaknesses in some of the ways it liked to play its hands, and we exploited some of those to build our lead". The lion's share of the $100,000 prize money was won by individual winner Bjorn Li of Hong Kong.

As the June 30 deadline for a nuclear agreement with the Islamic Republic of Iran approaches and the passage of a U.S. Senate bill that does not require the deal to be viewed as a treaty by Congress, the Center for Security Policy’s (CSP) President Frank Gaffney warned of the consequences of this scenario. “We are dealing with national security fraud on the part of the Obama administration and its apologists or champions with regard to this agreement,” Gaffney said at a panel discussion hosted by the CSP on Friday in Washington, D.C. “It will not prevent Iran from getting...

The military is presently under a national spotlight regarding women in combat, with branches testing how women can physically handle grueling physical standards associated with combat arms training. A video going viral adds some interesting context to that. The video shows a U.S. Army captain, who is a woman, completing a 12-mile ruck march on a course that is open to women and outside of the discussion on women in combat arms — the Expert Field Medical Badge course. The competitive decoration is open to soldiers in the medical field and is one of the toughest decorations to earn. In...

[Embedded Video} WASHINGTON -- The Islamic terror group ISIS is leaving a trail of destruction across large parts of Syria and Iraq with a specific target in their crosshairs. Hundreds of thousands of Christians have been displaced from their homes and countless others have been murdered or enslaved by the jihadist army, with no end in sight. Sister Hatune Dogan has been on the ground and witnessed the devastation of these ancient Christian communities. She's listened to survivors tell how Christians and Yazidi women are being sold into sex slavery. "They choose the most beautiful one, even if they have...

Explanation: This popular group is famous as the Leo Triplet - a gathering of three magnificent galaxies in one field of view. Crowd pleasers when imaged with even modest telescopes, they can be introduced individually as NGC 3628 (left), M66 (bottom right), and M65 (top). All three are large spiral galaxies but they tend to look dissimilar because their galactic disks are tilted at different angles to our line of sight. NGC 3628 is seen edge-on, with obscuring dust lanes cutting across the plane of the galaxy, while the disks of M66 and M65 are both inclined enough to show...

Those who follow campus politics say they are not shocked. "I'm not surprised that Boston University is hiring a racist to teach African American Studies," David Horowitz, author of “Reforming our Univerisities” told FoxNews.com. "Anti-white racism is rampant in Black Studies programs which are generally indoctrination programs in left wing politics." Boston University stands by the professor, who will start working at the college in June. “Professor Grundy is exercising her right to free speech and we respect her right to do so,” Boston University spokesman Colin Riley said. Grundy did not respond to a request for comment from FoxNews.com,...

BARACK OBAMA: This this morning we learned our economy created 223,000 new jobs last month. The unemployment rate ticked down again to 5.4%, lowest it's been in almost seven years. That's 3 million new jobs in past 12 months, nearly the fastest pace in over a decade. All told in 62 months in a row, America's businesses created 12.3 million new jobs. .......... Since there are a lot of predictions of doom and gloom, I suggest those making those predictions go back and check the statistics. Just saying.
