Popular Christian singer Amy Grant is pro-life on the issue of abortion, but she recently announced she is teaming up with one of the most pro-abortion foundations that shuttled millions towards abortions and abortion businesses. In an opinion column on Fox News’ web site, Grant announced she is partnering with the Gates Foundation to push birth control and contraception in impoverished nations. Grant said she hosted pro-abortion Melinda Gates recently at a Christian event in Nashville, Tennessee to discuss their partnership.

When I took my seedlings outside this morning using our basement door, I discovered that somebody tried to break in last night. There is minimal damage; we won't need to replace anything. I think they were just trying random palces for tools to convert to quick pill cash. Percocet, Vicodin, etc. are big here, and junkies will steal metal and tools for them. We have the back yard lit up already, so that's upsetting to me. With three little ones and a husband that works 24 hour shifts, I'm wondering if it's time for an alarm system. Any suggestions?

“If we are spending a trillion dollars to rebuild Afghanistan’s schools, we can’t, you know, put a little taste Baltimore’s way. It’s crazy.” –Jon Stewart, “The Daily Show,” April 28, 2015 Using USAID’s ForeignAssistance.gov Web site, one can drill down to individual programs in Afghanistan year after year. For basic education in Afghanistan, the number is about $100 million annually. Adding higher education boosts the spending about $30 million a year. For instance, in 2012 and 2013, the total spent on education in Afghanistan was $128.6 million and $115.1 million, respectively. Now let’s compare that to the federal spending for...

The number one goal of all governments is to control and dominate their own citizens. The more deceptively it can be done, the more complete and long-lasting the tyranny. I have been telling you for many years that the face of modern tyranny is benevolent totalitarianism. Police state totalitarianism went out with World War II. The “Gestapo” knock at the door in the middle of the night and barbed-wire detainment camps are history, though there are steps in place to recreate them here via FEMA resettlement camps. Benevolent totalitarianism is an advanced stage of people control through mind control and...

Must we accept that we are no longer the electorate and the elected, but the ruling and the ruled? “Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters.”- Benjamin Franklin What has happened to the United States? Many say that it is a natural progression that is inevitable, but is it actually the breakdown of our morals, our ethics, our family structure and our school systems? Is it the inevitable “chains of government,” that have slowly but surely bound us with the very freedoms we claim to embrace? In...

As the Justice Department investigates police misconduct in Baltimore, root causes of criminal activity are being ignored. It shows, once again, the agenda of the Obama administration is not to solve the real problems afflicting urban America It was no surprise that new Attorney General Loretta Lynch announced the Department of Justice will launch a civil rights investigation of the Baltimore Police Department. This is the second investigation that has been authorized in the wake of the riots that broke out following the death of Freddie Gray. The other investigation is looking into potential violations of Gray’s civil rights. The...

The CSP report should serve as a wake-up call for those who have seen something unusual taking place in their town, but perhaps haven't been able to put the pieces together yet A report by the Center for Security Policy (CSP) has uncovered major problems within the Refugee Resettlement Program (RRP). The foreword by Frank Gaffney describes the source of the concerns: According to the sacred texts and traditions of Islam, Mohammed left his home town of Mecca in the 7th Century and traveled with a small band of followers to the city of Yathrib (now Medina), in what has...

LENIN is supposed to have referred to blind defenders and apologists for the Soviet Union in the Western democracies as "useful idiots." Yet even Lenin might have been surprised at how far these useful idiots would carry their partisanship in later years -- including our own times. Stalin's man-made famine in the Soviet Union during the 1930s killed more millions of people than Hitler killed in the Holocaust -- and Mao's man-made famine in China killed more millions than died in the USSR. Yet we not only hear little or nothing about either of these staggering catastrophes in the Communist...

The plain truth is: no commerce, no food, no freedom Civilization-gutting law has been on the books for decades. Over the last 10 to 20 years they have been molded into enforceable regulation that eviscerates gains made in Western living standards. This is the product of legislation that was purportedly enacted with some benevolent intent, but ambiguous language left the door open to divert the purpose for other results. In the case of environmental legislation, such as the Environmental Protection Act (1970), Endangered Species Act (1973), Clean Air Act (1970), Clean Water Act (1972) and now the Highway Beautification Act...

I believe in the old saw "the darkest hour is just before the dawn"--unfortunately I also believe that "we the people" have yet to see our darkest hour. Laus Deo, and pass the ammunition “You can try to avoid reality, but you cannot avoid the consequences of avoiding reality.”—Ayn Rand (1905-1982) The people at “Charlie Hebdo” who were murdered deserved it, and Pamela Geller “asked for it?” WTF? What type of perverted “thinking” and twisted “logic” (I use the terms loosely) leads to such absurd and asinine conclusions? It beggars belief—and it beggars belief that the bulk of the world’s...

Either, the GOP is too fearful. The GOP is ignorant. Or, the GOP is a part of the problem As a public speaker, I have the opportunity to spend a lot of time with various political clubs, groups and organizations. When it comes to the question and answer portion after my U.S. Constitution presentations, the most common question I get is, “Why don’t the Republicans fight harder?” I tell the audience there are three possible answers. Either, the GOP is too fearful. The GOP is ignorant. Or, the GOP is a part of the problem. It may be a little...

Warm weather is coming, and with it the perennial student search for a summer job. Though often seen as an economic cure-all, minimum-wage requirements have the unintended consequence of decreasing economic opportunity for young workers and making that treasured summer job harder to find. Over half of those who earn at or below the minimum wage are between the ages of 16 and 24, many in the hospitality and leisure sector. Since the majority of those earning minimum wage are younger workers, increases in the minimum-wage rate affect them the most. Negative effects extend into the future, because young people...

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem Character Studies From The Bible David New International Version (NIV) 4 When Ish-Bosheth son of Saul heard that Abner had died in Hebron, he lost courage, and all Israel became alarmed. 2 Now Saul’s son had two men who were leaders of raiding bands. One was named Baanah and the other Rekab; they were sons of Rimmon the Beerothite from the tribe of Benjamin—Beeroth is considered part of Benjamin, 3 because the people of Beeroth fled to Gittaim and have resided there as foreigners to this day. 4 (Jonathan son of Saul had a son who was...

Back in January a Fort Myers, Florida, man was shot three times in a Waffle House, only to die in a car crash on the way to the hospital. There was speculation for months about the deadly confrontation, especially one man’s innocence. Now, footage has been released which sheds new light on the confrontation. The footage shows a shirtless, 24-year-oldDakota Fields attacking another customer, who happened to carry a concealed weapon permit. Police say the shooter, Jehrardd Williams, acted in self defense and will not be charged.

Mary Eggermont-Molenaar, standing in front of her Calgary, Alta., home on Saturday, April 18, 2015, has been told she's living in the first home of U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz by an old family friend. She'd rather not own a historical property, if it means he'd become president. An Alberta homeowner bursts out laughing at the idea that she could be living in a U.S. historical property, in the birth residence of a potential American president. What's giving her the giggles? The thought of U.S. President Ted Cruz. Baby Ted once crawled the hallways in her stucco-walled, Spanish-colonial-style Calgary home but...

Did Bill Gates, the worldÂ’s richest man, cause the breakdown of civil order in Baltimore? How about JK Rowling, author of the Harry Potter novels and the worldÂ’s richest woman? Is she the cause of all the mayhem?Last time I looked, Gates was producing products that bring joy to the life of kids who live everywhere. And he is giving away almost all his wealth to help the poorest people in the world. And Rowling? All she does is write books that youngsters like to read and help make movies people of all ages flock to see. What I know...

The War on Passive Protection: The Government Hates Your Freedom (Again) by Bill Buppert Posted on May 7, 2015 by Bill Passive protection. The ability to use non-violent means to defend yourself, much like the use of seatbelts or the active use of fire suppression devices. Objects in and of themselves that cannot harm others without a devilishly clever manipulation of the device(s). Imagine a country or class of people who finds these items not only offensive but threatening in and of themselves.Hence the latest round of outrageously silly notions to outlaw the use of body armor by normal citizens...

The whole case for reelecting mediocre Republicans has been, “Sure, they stink, but do you want a Democrat in office? They’re the lesser of two evils.” That’s an argument I’ve used many times myself. However, what happens when it’s no longer true? What happens if conservatives realize that they would be better off RIGHT NOW if Harry Reid were still running the Senate? Because we would be. Instead of reflexively saying, “That’s ridiculous,” think about what happened during the last congressional cycle. Democrats refused to compromise with Republicans on anything and the GOP was desperate to show its opposition to...

About 30 percent of low-income parents can’t afford to change their children’s diapers frequently enough, according to a Yale University study. My organization, National Diaper Bank Network, helps distribute diapers to those families in need. It’s not just diapers. The tendency to brand low-income moms as “bad” extends to how they feed their children (no candy!) and entertain them (no swimming!). But these perspectives make me wonder: What makes a mother bad? I’m a middle-class mom who has absentmindedly sent my kids to school without lunch and missed deadlines for permission slips. And, like low-income parents who struggle to pay...
