BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- The family of the convicted marathon bomber is in America, on your tax dollars, and survivors are outraged after learning the news. As of Thursday, family members of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev have been staying at the Hampton Inn in Revere under very tight security, just one of the things tax dollars are paying for. FOX25's Sharman Sacchetti investigated how much this trip is costing you. Sources say these family members are being called as witnesses and not only that, at least three agencies are working around the clock to protect and transport them. This is all part of...

When the earthquake hit, many of Nepal's most renowned pagodas in and around Kathmandu crumbled into rubble-covered stumps. Others were smothered under splintered hand-carved wooden beams or multi-level rooftops. But the Kathmandu Valley's other pagodas, stupas and shrines -- also built mostly of red brick hundreds of years ago -- suffered surprisingly little damage and remained standing next to structures which disappeared.

PETA is demanding to know: Why won’t Al Gore’s climate change music festival go vegan? On stage at Davos this year, Gore and Pharrell Williams announced the return of the Live Earth music festival — a concert series meant to raise awareness of climate change. And now the animal rights group is demanding each of the concerts exclusively serve vegan products, arguing that Gore’s own group touts the benefits of giving up meat to reduce greenhouse gas production. In a series of emails obtained by BuzzFeed News, representatives from PETA repeatedly ask Live Earth’s organizers if they plan to serve...

Sovereignty is defined as the source from which all governing authority flows. A visitor to America, say a modern Alexis de Tocqueville, might conclude that America is a despotism. Considering we have presidential elections every four years, our imaginary visitor could refine his observations and determine America 2015 to be an elective despotism. And why not? Obama’s speeches ooze with “I” and “me.” His cabinet secretaries and party have demonstrated loyalty to his person and not the Constitution. Notwithstanding his oath of office, which is a solemn promise to see that the laws be faithfully executed, he pledged to fundamentally...

LANSING, MI — Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder "is running" for president, according to a former U.S. Senator, whose comments at a Republican confab were quickly contradicted by a spokesman for the governor, who said he has not made any decisions of that kind. "I met with Rick Snyder yesterday," former Minnesota Sen. Norm Coleman told reporters on Saturday morning at the Republican Jewish Coalition's spring meeting, according to the Guardian and other publications. "He's running. He's running." Snyder was in Las Vegas this weekend to attend the RJC meeting as part of what his advisors are calling an economic tour....

The commanding officer of the USS Carl Vinson says Islamic State extremists began as an invading force and ended as an enemy in retreat during the aircraft carrier’s recent six-month deployment to the Middle East. Speaking 250km off Perth on board the massive American vessel — which carries 55 planes, 20 choppers and more than 5000 crew who went ashore at Fremantle yesterday afternoon — Captain Karl Thomas proclaimed the airstrikes over Syria and Iraq a success. ..... "I think why our sailors love to come to Australia so much is that the countries are so similar,” he said. “We...

John Lott talked about the new study put out by Pew Research Center which finds that support for gun rights have increased and, for the first time, protecting gun rights is more important than controlling ownership. He responded to telephone calls and electronic communications, including a telephone line reserved for gun owners.

Natalie Lopez summoned the courage to show up. This was several months ago in front of the Chaska City Council. Lopez, a hard-working mother of a preschool child, did not want to be there. She's an undocumented immigrant. In the minds of some individuals in this state and nation, her ilk is as much a pariah of society as, say, violent sex offenders. "What part of illegal don't you understand?" is the slogan with these folks. When I hear this, I'm reminded of a poster of an American Indian siding with this view and then imploring all who broke numerous...

It is well-known the relationship between President Barack Obama and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is not a good one. Nevertheless, both Obama and Netanyahu still have to work on a diplomatic level. Apparently, Obama’s support for allowing Iran to have nuclear capabilities is highly favored by the country’s people, who are recently shown celebrating in the streets. It is also the same deal Netanyahu warned about. A deal which, if approved, would result in dire consequences, not just for Israel, but for the world, according to some observers. For Vice President Joe Biden, he might just be oblivious to the...

Six Minnesota men of Somali descent have been charged with terrorism-related offenses in a criminal complaint unsealed last week. The fellows were allegedly trying to get to Syria to fight for ISIS, or as we sometimes more charitably name them in newspaper headlines, Islamic militants. Our local six are just the latest Westerners accused of traveling or trying to travel to Syria to join the Islamic State group, which beheads people, throws homosexuals off roofs of buildings, destroys historical wonders of the world, marries off girls at about 9 years old, stones to death adulterers and shoots children. Other than...

Indoctrination from a young age is merely implemented to brainwash the mind of a child; to have another life believe the same things you believe from cradle to grave.Liberals are well versed in this cradle to grave theory – from hand-outs early and often until the death tax – however, I don’t want to link the left to this deplorable picture a newborn child’s exposure to ISIS.Or, do I? If Democrats had their way this child may never have been born, but I digress…If this image makes you sick to your stomach, it means you’re mentally fit. From The Blaze:That is an Islamic...

Saturday Night Live star Cecily Strong hosted the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner Saturday night, cracking jokes at the expense of the 2016 presidential contenders, the Clinton Foundation, attendant members of the mainstream media, and of course, President Obama. But a couple of Strong’s jokes may have come at the worst possible time; a quip about racist police drew laughter and groans while the city of Baltimore was besieged by a race-based riot just a few miles away.

It was at the vanguard of aviation technology in the 1950s, and it's still going strong today: meet the B-52 Stratofortress. The B-52 heavy bomber continues to show that old doesn't have to mean outdated, even in an era of rapid technological change. Just the opposite: through good maintenance and occasional updates, vintage tech can hold its own against flashier but more expensive, and more finicky, next-generation (and next-next-next-generation, even) designs. The very first flight of a Boeing B-52 took place 60 years ago this weekend.

Roman Catholics often assert that Protestantism operates under the principle that Scripture is open to private interpretation because Protestants deny the need for an infallible magisterium to interpret Scripture. Is historic Protestantism really a religion of "me and my Bible?" Do the tenets of historical Protestantism really deny 2 Peter 1:20, which informs that no prophecy of Scripture is of private interpretation? An honest and informed Roman Catholic understands that Protestants do not think that Scripture has no need for an interpreter. 1. An honest and informed Roman Catholic understands and will gladly concede that historic Protestantism affirms that Scripture is the interpreter...

(VIDEO-AT-LINK)Ted Cruz, along with most of the other Republican presidential candidates, actual and potential, appeared at the Iowa Faith and Freedom Summit on Saturday. He decried what he sees as “liberal fascism” that has ensured "there is no room for Christians in today's Democratic Party." Ironically, some people who support LGBT rights are busily making Cruz’s case, albeit inadvertently. Indeed, recently, Hillary Clinton, still the likely Democratic presidential nominee despite the play for pay scandal that is consuming her campaign, recently gave Cruz a boost. As a way of illustration, a recent article in the Daily Beast by Jay Michaelson...

The former public face of Bill Clinton’s White House—and current host of ABC News’ This Week—George Stephanopoulos was floored as two prominent journalists and the Republican Speaker of the House from his Clinton days, Newt Gingrich, laid out for him just how bad the “Clinton Cash” book is for his old bosses. During the show’s roundtable panel after Clinton Cash author Peter Schweizer appeared on the show for a lengthy interview, Stephanopoulos teamed with Democratic strategist Donna Brazile in an attempt to discredit Schweizer. But it started with Stephanopoulos making a shocking admission: Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign wouldn’t send out...
