There was a Defense Department Briefing at The Pentagon today, where Defense Secretary Ashton Carter and Gen. Martin Dempsey answered questions. Carter has a SERIOUS "Uhhhh-uhhh uhhhh-uhhhhh" speech disorder. What a moron. Did 0dungo appoint him because he is an embarrassment? Couldn't 0dungo find someone who could talk in the public arena without saying "uhhhh-uhhh uhhh-uhhhh" every other word? UHHH-UHHHHHHH UHH-UHHHHHH PATHETIC!!!!

In a video of what appears to be ESPN reporter Britt McHenry berating a parking lot attendant has surfaced. McHenry is shown making fun of the woman’s features, and even asking her “Do you know who I am?” McHenry is visibly upset, although we are unable to see what may have pushed to her treating the attendant so poorly in the video that clearly had some portions edited out of it. McHenry can be heard saying, “I’m in the news sweetheart, I will f—ing sue this place.” “Do you feel good about your job? So I could be a college...

A notice filed this month in the Forsyth County Hall of Justice indicates the IRS has placed a lien on the Perrys. More from the Journal report:

Indiana Gov. Mike Pence spent the week telling reporters, "I think the difficult time that Indiana just passed through two weeks ago is behind us." But a new poll released Thursday suggests the governor could have a tough time recovering from the controversy surrounding Indiana's "religious freedom" law. The poll, from Howey Politics and conducted by a Republican-affiliated research firm, said that 46 percent of voters disapprove of Pence while 45 percent approve of him. That approval rating is double digits below Pence's performance in other recent polls in the state. A January survey from Public Opinion Strategies conducted for...

The Iranian parliament’s nuclear committee has released a fact sheet regarding the framework agreement reached in Lausanne over its nuclear program, and it differs significantly from a previous US version. The US released its fact sheet after Washington and other major powers reached a framework agreement with Iran on April 2 on curbing the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program, which is supposed to lead to a final deal by June 30. “The [Iranian] fact sheet urges operation of 10,000 centrifuge machines at Natanz and Fordow, a maximum five-year-long duration for the deal and for Iran’s nuclear limitations, [and] replacement of the...

The leaders of Congress’s tax-writing committees reached agreement Thursday on legislation to give President Obama “fast track” authority to negotiate an ambitious trade accord with 11 other Pacific nations, beginning what is sure to be one of the toughest legislative battles of his last 19 months in office. The “trade promotion authority” bill — likely to be unveiled Thursday afternoon — would give Congress the power to vote on the Trans-Pacific Partnership once it is completed, but would deny lawmakers the chance to amend what would be the largest trade deal since the North American Free Trade Agreement. Senator Orrin...

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa —While she had no formal events scheduled in western Iowa, Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton spent the night in Council Bluffs before a private meeting with local Democratic Party leaders Thursday.

To cleanse the palate, a fresh reminder that Democratic pols think the rules don’t apply to them even when it comes to parking. On the one hand, the thought of spending 16 months digesting every move made by a political entity as dreary as Hillary Clinton, even as a goof a la the clip below, makes me feel like Col. Kurtz mumbling through that story about finding the pile of little arms. We now inhabit a political culture where stories like this one are published by the country’s most respected newspapers. “I cried, I wept like some grandmother. I wanted...

When I found out that the gyrocopter guy who landed on the Capitol lawn yesterday was protesting against obscene political campaign finances, my first thought was to wonder why he didn't land on Hillary Clinton's Chappaqua lawn. If ever there was an example of obscenely large and shadowy campaign finances, Hillary's political war chest would be ground zero. However, the lesson taken away from yesterday's incident by the Washington Post's Hunter Schwarz is that both the gyrocopter guy and Hillary have opposition to such financing in common. I kid you not!"Hunter Schwarz covers the intersection of politics and pop culture for...

Iowans had their cellphones and cameras confiscated before getting to meet the Democratic presidential frontrunner, Hillary Rodham Clinton. Hillary Clinton "On Thursday, Clinton's motorcade left the SpringHill Suites for Main Street Cafe, where she met privately with party leaders for about an hour and a half," reports KETV in Omaha.

Two white female students at Grapevine High School in Grapevine, Texas recorded and released a song with dangerous and offensive lyrics about black, Latino, and Asian-American students. As the anger boiled out of control in the school, the staff was forced to send the email below to parents. The students apologized as only teenagers can. From one of their letters: I understand that there are many unanswered questions and multiple versions of rumors regarding when, where, and why the rap was made. I have never been so utterly humiliated and ashamed in my entire life, because if you know me,...

RUSH: I do not want to make the mistake of assuming something is happening prematurely. Nevertheless, ladies and gentlemen, I have to note that I am a bit surprised at the frequency, and even the number, of really negative or less-than-flattering suck-up stories about Hillary Clinton from the Drive-By Media. Now, what we know, what we have learned -- I take it back. You and I have known this since the nineties. She's a phony. There are no coincidences with the Clintons. Nothing just spontaneously happens. Everything is orchestrated; everything is planned; everything is staged. That is, everything that's intended...

Stories were blowing up the Internet last week saying that France was sending Laurent Stefanini — an “openly gay” ambassador — to the Vatican. More turmoil and surprise when the Vatican refused his appointment. We didn’t cover the story, though we did link to it in this piece. Only something is not right: The first interesting point is that Stefanini, before the press took hold of this affair, was not publicly known as a homosexual: reliable sources say he never touched the subject. He is 54, unmarried, without children; he also has no known companion. He is not known ever...

Those following the Obama Immigration Executive Action legal battles will note yesterday Congressman Young was asking Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Director Saldana the exact same point outlined in Judge Hanen’s rebuke of the White House. So yesterday ICE Director Saldana is on Capitol Hill answering questions when Republican David Young asks Mrs. Saldana about the conflict between the law, and the rules imposed by President Obama that force border patrol agents to: a.) break the law, or b.) break Obama’s executive action rules. How Saldana replies is, well, JAW DROPPING.

One-Third of Dutch GP Physicians Would Kill the Mentally Ill Wesley J. Smith April 16, 2015 10:26 AM | Permalink Please! Don't tell me that euthanasia doesn't lead straight off a vertical moral cliff. A recent survey of Netherlander MD general practitioners found that very high percentages would kill cancer patients, and one-third would be willing to euthanize the mentally ill. From the PsychCentral story: For mental illness, only 34 percent would consider helping the patient die, and 40 percent would help someone with early-stage dementia to die. The rate was slightly lower for late-stage dementia, at 33 percent. Only?...

A public school district in Oklahoma has agreed to stop allowing for the distribution of Bibles following threatened legal action from an atheist organization. Duncan Public Schools sent a letter to the American Humanist Association in response to a complaint leveled against an elementary school teacher who distributed several Gideon Bibles to her students. Scott W. Stone, legal counsel for Duncan Schools, explained to the AHA's legal arm the Appignani Humanist Legal Center that actions were being taken in response to their complaint. "All teachers and administrators in the district are being advised that they are not permitted to distribute...

GRANDVILLE, Mich. (WWJ) – A west Michigan business owner claims he’s been the target of death threats after he announced he won’t serve gays. Brian Klawiter, who owns Dieseltec Automotive Repair in Grandville, posted a message on his business’ Facebook page saying that he is a Christian, and that his company does not welcome “immoral behavior” — including homosexuality. “Our rights as conservative Americans are being squashed more and more everyday. Apparently if you are white (or close to it), you have a job, go to church, and own a gun… That translates into racists, privileged, bigot, conspiracy theorist.

RUSH: How many times in the recent past have you people heard me refer to Democrat Party base as insane? How many of you recall my suggesting, my pointing out, my claiming that the Democrat Party has turned its base literally rabid with insanity and rage. With all of the catcalling, all of the negativity that they have been responsible for, the Iraq war, you name it, everything for the last four years of George Bush's presidency, everything, they turned their base into a bunch of rabid, insane lunatics. You remember how they literally went bat excrement crazy after the...

Above all, this irony emerges: Clinton ran on the basis of managerial competence—on her capacity, as she liked to put it, to “do the job from Day One.” In fact, she never behaved like a chief executive, and her own staff proved to be her Achilles’ heel. What is clear from the internal documents is that Clinton’s loss derived not from any specific decision she made but rather from the preponderance of the many she did not make. Her hesitancy and habit of avoiding hard choices exacted a price that eventually sank her chances at the presidency. What follows is...

The blistering drought that has Californians timing their showers, driving dirty cars and staring at brown lawns and empty swimming pools is a “man-made disaster,” according to critics, who say the Golden State’s misguided environmental policies allow much-needed freshwater to flow straight into the Pacific. In an average year, California gets enough snow and rain to put 200 million acres under a foot of water, but environmental opposition to dams over the last several decades has allowed the majority of the freshwater to flow into the ocean, even as the state’s population exploded to nearly 40 million people. ~snip~ “This...
