Washington Post fact-checker Glenn Kessler last week examined this claim from President Obama, among other similar ones as he campaigned in his first term for passage of his signature reform: “That means that no matter how we reform health care, we will keep this promise to the American people: If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor, period. If you like your health-care plan, you’ll be able to keep your health-care plan, period. No one will take it away, no matter what.” – President Obama, speech to the American Medical Association, June 15, 2009 (as...

While the Zionists sneer about all the Nobel Prizes won by Jews, Muslim science founded on the unerring Koran and Hadiths transmitted by the Angel Gabriel and occasionally Satan, to an illiterate desert bandit, is about to yield the greatest prize of them all. A cure for the most dreaded of diseases where you might least expect it, but exactly where a Koran-literate Muslim would expect to find it. Dr. Faten Abdel-Rahman Khorshid is responsible for one of the Kingdom’s greatest national achievements in the field of science for her work which began with the urine of camels and concluded...

Rather than writeoff bad loans at European banks, the ECB has chosen the bury your head in the sand, extend-and-pretend path of Japan. This is despite the fact the Japanese plan has taken multiple decades without producing meaningful results. "More Room For Rate Cuts" For example, ECB Executive Board member Benoit Coeure says "ECB Can Cut Rates Further, Offer Liquidity". The European Central Bank can trim interest rates further and provide the banking system with liquidity, ECB Executive Board member Benoit Coeure said on Saturday after last week's rate cut to a record low. "We can still cut interest rates...

Zombie aficionados debate whether the living dead should be fast- or slow-moving. But there's no denying that the Zombie Apocalypse Stock Portfolio — companies that should do well in a zombie outbreak — has been lightning-fast. The zombie portfolio of seven stocks — SolarCity (SCTY), Generac (GNRC), Sturm Ruger (RGR), Smith & Wesson (SWHC), Cabela's (CAB), GNC (GNC) and Pall Corp. (PLL) — has soared by 230% since "The Walking Dead" premiered on Oct. 31, 2010. That compares to 50% for the S&P 500 index. So far this year, the Zombie Apocalypse Stock Portfolio has jumped 63% vs. the S&P...

The Atlanta Braves plan to build a new stadium in Cobb County and move there from Turner Field at the start of the 2017 season, team officials said today. Braves executives John Schuerholz, Mike Plant and Derek Schiller, in a meeting with a small group of reporters, said the new ballpark will be built at the northwest intersection of I-75 and I-285 in the Galleria/Cumberland Mall area. They said the team has “secured” approximately 60 acres of land for the project. The Braves said the stadium is projected to cost $672 million, including parking, land and infrastructure, and will be...

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin says she thinks it's good that Gov. Chris Christie won another term in mostly Democratic New Jersey. But the 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate stops short of embracing Christie as a potential GOP presidential candidate in 2016, saying "I would never put my faith and hope in any one politician."

- FrontPage Magazine - http://frontpagemag.com - The Hate and Hypocrisy of the BDS MovementPosted By Joseph Puder On November 11, 2013 @ 12:25 am In Daily Mailer,FrontPage | 7 Comments As the academic year at University of California Santa Cruz was about to end in June, 2013, pro-Palestinian students initiated a resolution that called on the university to divest from companies profiting from the “Israeli occupation of Gaza and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem.” The resolution was defeated, yet the non-binding resolution that would have no effect on university policy is not as disconcerting as the atmosphere on campus...

It came through an online message board from a village in eastern France. Attached was a photo of a standard-issue U.S. Army duffel bag, and the name on it in faded block letters was unmistakable: WILLIAM A. KADAR. "I can't believe this," Arleen Haas, 33, recalled thinking as she looked at the photo again and again. Kadar, her grandfather, had fought in eastern France during World War II, winning a Purple Heart and enduring a string of POW camps in the closing months of the war. Haas has spent much of her life collecting and preserving memories for her grandfather,...

Christian Adams, right.Adams is the former Justice Department lawyer who told Congress that the Attorney General treated cases of racial bias against white people with “open contempt.”Most famously, Adams noted the case of electoral intimidation against two members of the New Black Panther Party who brandished weapons and issued threats...

In Massachusetts, things aren’t looking very rosy for civil liberties. Already suffering under a “high capacity” magazine ban and other draconian firearms restrictions, some lawmakers don’t feel they haven’t gone far enough toward preventing another Newtown. While there’s already a “safe storage” law on the books, Swampscott Selectman Barry Greenfield believes police should go door-to-door to inspect the gun collections of his town’s residents—to see if they’re in compliance with the law. Apparently Barry isn’t familiar with the Fourth Amendment protection against unreasonable search and seizure. Or maybe he feels like when it comes to guns, the word “unreasonable” has...

David Hornik On November 11, 2013 @ 12:55 am In Daily Mailer,FrontPage | 15 Comments Israeli officials were described as “furious at the Obama administration” over what seemed to be an emerging nuclear deal between the P5+1 countries (the U.S., Britain, France, Russia, China, plus Germany) and Iran. One official was quoted saying that “the Americans capitulated to Iranian maneuvering…. Kerry wants a deal at all costs and the Iranians are leading the Americans by the nose.”As for Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, he was described as being...

The Wounded Warriors Project (WWP) pays millions of dollars for commercials showing injured service members. Many were forced to sign non-disclosure agreements (Why?). I have talked to many Veterans who were promised many things from WWP and did not receive anything in return for the use of their likeness in commercials and print ads. The commercials do not mention anything WWP does to help the injured service members. Listen closely to the commercials as they parade an injured veteran around like an injured animal. They pay famous actors and musicians to pull on the nation’s heart strings. Fox News takes...

I've been away for weeks now on a non-financial assignment (we have something unusual coming out in Rolling Stone in a few weeks) so I've fallen behind on some crazy developments on Wall Street. There are multiple scandals blowing up right now, including a whole set of ominous legal cases that could result in punishments so extreme that they might significantly alter the long-term future of the financial services sector. As one friend of mine put it, "Whatever those morons put aside for settlements, they'd better double it." Firstly, there's a huge mess involving possible manipulation of the world currency...

Last week, it came out that New Jersey‘s Republican Governor Chris Christie refused to campaign for Ken Cuccinelli in the Virginia governor’s race, which no doubt contributed to Cuccinelli’s loss. The jovial, fun-loving, charismatic Christie is wildly popular, with the second highest approval rating of Republican governors. He won re-election in Democratic-stronghold New Jersey by a landslide last week, with 60 percent of the vote to his Democrat challenger’s 39 percent. Christie and the Republican establishment wrote the Virginia gubernatorial race off; the RNC spent only one-third as much money on the race than it did in 2009. Even so,...

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Veterans are returning to New York City from their service only to be faced with going hungry, the head a city food bank said. As WCBS 880′s Monica Miller reported, Margarette Purvis, president and CEO of the Food Bank for New York City, tried to raise awareness about the plight of former service members during a speech in the Bronx on Sunday. Veterans Day is Monday. “On this Veterans Day, when we’re waving our flags — I need every New Yorker to know — 40 percent of New York City veterans are relying on soup kitchens...

CHAPTER 3 OF GOD’S DECREE Paragraph 1. God hath decreed in himself, from all eternity, by the most wise and holy counsel of His own will, freely and unchangeably, all things, whatsoever comes to pass;1 yet so as thereby is God neither the author of sin nor hath fellowship with any therein;2 nor is violence offered to the will of the creature, nor yet is the liberty or contingency of second causes taken away, but rather established;3 in which appears His wisdom in disposing all things, and power and faithfulness in accomplishing His decree.41 Isa. 46:10; Eph. 1:11; Heb....

All Michigan freepers out there, need some help. I am NOT a hunter, but my son wants to go. We live on 80 a acres or private land that my dad owns. I want to take my son hunting this year, we are learning together. I am confused by the license process. I want two licenses, one for me and one for him....are these the same as TAGS? Or are tags in addition to the actual hunting license. Also, If I wanted to obtain a private land permit after the drawing, does that go by region?

Happy Veterans Day to one and all; and a special, humble, thanks to the over 23 million Americans who have served, and are now serving, in uniform to make the world safe for democracy. While the face of freedom’s enemy morphs over time, we must remain forever vigilant against its eternal malignancy. Lest we forget. Auschwitz I know this was posted by robert anthony in yesterday’s comments, butt since today is Veteran’s Day, it’s a good opportunity to repost Weasel Zippers Fun Fact of the Day, via an email from Bill in Kentucky to Bret Baier: “Putting things in perspective:...
