Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) and a prominent cleric say that the slogan “Death to America” will be sounded on November 4, the country’s annual “Grand Day of Death to America,” which coincides with the anniversary of the takeover of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran in 1979. The “Death to America” slogan has been chanted for more than three decades at state events, including Friday Prayers. …

South Africa has slammed Israel’s plans to build new homes in Jerusalem as pro-Palestinian activists launched an international campaign for the release of terrorist prisoners, whom it calls “political prisoners.” “That arrangement there in Palestine keeps us awake,” South Africa’s Foreign Minister Maite Nkaona-Mashabane on Friday told members of Cosatu, the largest trade union, which is a political ally of the ruling ANC party. …

Why it qualifies: -- Because it is two members of the Rat Pack, both radiating awesomeness, looking like they might have headed to the golf course straight from another all-nighter on the Vegas Strip. -- Because both men look unfazed that they may be in violation of the 14-club limit (Really, who's going to tell the Chairman of the Board he needs to take out that extra wedge?). -- Because one of the woods in the background might not be a wood at all, but an Al Czervik-style beer tap. -- Because other than maybe Tony Gwynn, no one else...

In my search for the truth about how much ObamaCare will increase how many Americans’ health insurance premiums I came upon a frightening map of the United States(see below) that projected what the percentage hikes would be state by state. The projections, prepared by the Society of Actuaries in March, 2013 predicted some pretty outrageous premium increases in the likes of California,62%, Alabama, 60%, Texas, 34% and Arizona 41%. Only in New York, Massachusetts and New Jersey would the premiums decline slightly. Maybe the computer models used by the Society of Actuaries are just plumb ridiculous and wrong. I printed...

Social networks say one-metre-long mouse killed two childrenNews spread on social networks in Saudi Arabia this week that a giant mouse nearly one metre long had killed two babies in the Gulf kingdom. But authorities quickly dismissed the reports as baseless rumors. Newspapers said the news were carried on Facebook and other social networks in the Gulf kingdom that the giant mouse has four large teeth with a length of around 2.5 cm each. “The news said the mouse killed two babies,” Almadina daily said. But the civil defence in the Red Sea port of Jeddah denied the reports about...

It really is hysterical listening to liberal Hollywoodans talk about politics. Take for example actor/director Rob Reiner - made famous by his role as Meathead in the legendary sitcom All in the Family - claiming on HBO's Real Time Friday ("Overtime" web segment) that Barack Obama politically "is right around where Reagan was. Rob Reiner aka Meathead: 'Obama Is Right Around Where Reagan Was' Politically BILL MAHER, HOST: I’m just saying the Democrats have moved to the middle. CONGRESSWOMAN DEBBIE WASSERMAN-SCHULTZ (D-FLORIDA): We have. MAHER: Unfortunately, the other people have moved way over there. So now the middle isn’t the...

Authorities issued a warningA Saudi man fancying grills for dinner went into a famous restaurant in the Gulf kingdom and bought a meal before rushing home to enjoy the food. But his excitement turned into a shock then to fury when he spotted a large dead cockroach in the meat just before he put a piece into his mouth. Omar Al Harthi said he rushed back to the restaurant in the Western Red Sea port of Jeddah and began shouting as they lined up the in front of him to apologize. “I did not accept their apology because this has...

In their ongoing battle to convince Americans to believe what the Obama administration is peddling to them rather than what their own experiences are indicating to them, the White House sent out yet another tweet yesterday that looks like it was meant to help combat some of the fury over the great myth that was “If you like your plan, you can keep it“:

Diwali, the spectacular Hindu festival of lights known all over the world, will be celebrated on Sunday, Nov. 3. The five-day event begins on Sunday with traditional holiday staples like candles and oil lamps, called "diyas." Diwali, a contraction of the word "Deepavali" -- meaning row of lights in Sanskrit -- is often celebrated with food, dancing, parties and, of course, colorful lights hanging everywhere. Many HIndus celebrate with prayer to Sita and Rama, the goddess and god of wealth and prosperity. The festival symbolizes the victory of light over dark, good over evil and knowledge over darkness, and honors...

It's all in the title, but worth considering that the attack on the TSA and the supposed 'note written by the shooter' stating he wanted to "Kill the TSA" is all a false flag for the purpose of starting a movement to arm the TSA agents. The King is always looking to grow his 'Civilian National Security Force' and the TSA is well over 50,000 strong. We know probably over half of them couldn't even qualify to carry a firearm due to their shady pasts, but don't be surprised if calls to arm the TSA get stronger over the next...

All for a meal. A fight over a piece of bread has left two men from the Subcontinent with serious injuries in a Kuwaiti city. According to a report in arabtimesonline, a Pakistani and an Indian were waiting in queue at a restaurant in Fahaheel to buy chapatti (flatbread). Eyewitnesses were quoted as saying that when it was the Pakistani’s turn, the Indian man overtook him and took the chapatti. They argued about it and quickly they got into blows. The Indian man claims that the restaurant staff gave it to him. However, both of them are seriously injured and...

Sometimes Disappointed . . .Conservatives Keep Looking For Political Heroes By DEXTER DUGGAN Prominent Washington, D.C., national political observer Charles Krauthammer, MD, left medicine to become a columnist because he placed more importance on delivering commentary, he told national talk host Dennis Prager. Krauthammer added on the October 29 radio program that if he were to advise a person with a “good heart” about whether tochoose being a commentator or senator, he’d say a senator because that job has a more direct effect. Hoping to have such a direct effect has been the motivation, too, for various pro-lifers and...

Postcard from the old days. College students in duffle coats, hanging out in Greenwich Village coffee houses, arguing about Yeats and Whitman, in a lather over jazz, experimenting with sex and dope, bursting with non-commercial creativity, crazy to revolutionize, doomed peach-fuzz romantics trying to one-up Arthur Rimbaud. Kill Your Darlings narrowcasts us back to the young explorations of Allen Ginsberg (Daniel Radcliffe), fledgling holy man and tentative poetic conscience of howling modernity, during his studies at Columbia in 1944. The director, John Krokidas, and his co-writer Austin Bunn throw the era in our face in huge jangling chunks — gorgeous...

Night Watchman Once upon a time the government had a vast scrap yard in the middle of a desert. Congress said, "Someone may steal from it at night." So they created a night watchman position and hired a person for the job. Then Congress said, "How does the watchman do his job without instruction?" So they created a planning department and hired two people, one person to write the instructions, and one person to do time studies. Then Congress said, "How will we know the night watchman is doing the tasks correctly?" So they created a Quality Control Department and...

Sure, it's Halloween, but it's also still a regular work day, and aside from eating candy around the office, Americans have products to sell, deals to close, and newspapers to print. We can't say for certain how this San Francisco businessman truly feels about Halloween -- or his job for that matter. All we can glean from this delightful image snapped on Laguna and Sacramento this morning is that he's definitely a strong contender for the office Halloween costume contest. That, and he's probably a really fun dad.

The day before Halloween in 2012, Donnie Fowler, a lobbyist from a little-known tech start-up called PredPol, e-mailed a confidential login and password to the San Francisco Police Department's chief information officer, Susan Merritt. The password allowed Merritt to log into an online mapping tool that, according to Fowler and his business partners, was already predicting where crimes are likely to happen across San Francisco. Fowler was, if his company is to be believed, giving the SFPD the keys to the next generation of crime-fighting, a program that draws from the past to help police, presumably, change the future. PredPol...

Friends, Romans, Countrymen, lend me your ears. Earlier this week, a 38-year-old man dressed as Julius Caesar was arrested after allegedly channeling his inner tyrant and fighting with San Francisco cops in the Richmond District. According to police, the incident happened at about 3:20 a.m. on Sunday when the suspect had hopped a ride with a Lyft driver at 26th Avenue and Geary Boulevard. The Lyft driver called the cops after the fake Julius Caesar allegedly made drunken advances toward him, making things a little uncomfortable in the car. Police arrived at the scene where they found the suspect just...

A pregnant Texas woman has been stabbed multiple times by an intruder as her horrified soldier husband serving overseas helplessly watched the attack play out in real time on video chat. Rachel Poole, 31, was talking to her husband, Justin Pele Poole, on FaceTime Wednesday night when a man identified as 19-year-old Corey Moss broke into their El Paso home and lunged at her with a knife. According to an arrest affidavit obtained by KFOX14, Mrs Poole recognized her assailant as a man who owed her husband money and screamed out his name. The 31-year-old mother-to-be, who is nine months...

I am very happy to reveal that at this year's gathering of the Pumpkins Papers Irregulars, a deluxe dinner held in Washington by intelligence experts and interested observers to honor the memory of Whittaker Chambers and his triumph over the traitor Alger Hiss, I was given the annual honor of lighting the pumpkin and later addressing the assembly about American Betrayal. Highlights of the evening included warm tributes to fallen Cold Warriors: M. Stanton Evans on the late Herbert Romerstein (1931-2013), and Paul Kengor on the late Judge William P. Clark (1931-2013). This year's "coveted" Victor Navasky Award, presented by...
