In their ongoing battle to convince Americans to believe what the Obama administration is peddling to them rather than what their own experiences are indicating to them, the White House sent out yet another tweet yesterday that looks like it was meant to help combat some of the fury over the great myth that was If you like your plan, you can keep it:

Redistribution of Wealth Obama style Part 1
Needs to be billboards: ‘So NOW you understand what SOCIALISM is?’
The only way we will get rid of obamacare is if no one signs up for it. It will go out of business. If enough dummies sign up for it to pay for it, we’ll be stuck with it.
Although Obama should have been foisted on hi own faulty and fraudulent Commerce Clause rationale, Roberts was right. ObamaCare is a tax. A GIANT progressive redistributive tax. Middle class has has policy at $100 cancelled. New policy with higher deductible + co-insurance costs $300, same policy for “poor” cost $50. Who’s ZOOMIN who? 1800F#CKYOU
Meddling Republican Incinerator, no doubt.
NO wonder the middle class can’t get ahead!
Nullification and a Cuccinelli victory is the way to get rid of ObamaCare. Where’s Ted when you need him?
The American people deserve democracy, and they deserve to get it good and hard.
It’s not like we haven’t been yelling our heads off for five years, just to be labeled `Tea Party fanatics’.
Screw `em.
It turns out that what was in it was massive rate hikes and mandatory participation so that free loaders and illegal aliens could be covered, a scheme to make certain hospitals whole and give the Feds a avenue to control all our healthcare industry and reward their cronies.
Thanks suckers, says Nancy and Harry.
One thing I don't understand about that. The Constitution prohibits the federal government from assessing direct taxes on US citizens.
The 16th Amendment created the Income Tax, which is an exception to that prohibition.
However, isn't the income tax the ONLY direct tax on citizens that is Constitutionally permitted?
How is the government Constitutionally able to collect ANY direct tax that is not based on income?
Answer: It's not.
So what gives?
‘You have nothing to fear from an Obama presidency’
From what I understand, they can only collect that ‘tax’ - fine - from your IRS refund if you are expecting one.
-— The only way we will get rid of obamacare is if no one signs up for it. It will go out of business -—
They will get the money somewhere else.
This isn’t an insurance company that will go out of business because of poor actuarial calculations.
This actuarial talk is just a comforting charade, like “healthcare marketplace.”
Obamacare can only be repealed legislatively, or slowed by defunding.
Before amendments ...
Article I, Section 2: Representatives and direct Taxes shall be apportioned among the several States which may be included within this Union, according to their respective Numbers ...The 16th amendment is one of many grave mistakes made by the states.Article I, Section 9: No capitation, or other direct, Tax shall be laid, unless in Proportion to the Census or Enumeration herein before directed to be taken.
The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration.
Best I can tell, the power to tax income does not eliminate the power to levy a direct tax, a dollar sum certain per person. It's a new power.
It's not direct taxes that were an issue before the 16th amendment was ratified, it was income taxes.
As soon as the first person has to pay the tax there will be lawsuits left and right. Then when it makes it up to the Supreme Court the right can strike it down then they have to start over.
I don't know if Obama care will get the votes the second time but there will be a huge fight for sure!
Roberts will then be the hero!
Woo-Hoo!
There you are!
