Schultz was interviewed by CNBC’s Maria Bartiromo Wednesday, and during his time on the air, he explained how his support of the health law has turned stale on account of its poor execution. He told CNBC that, ”Unfortunately, in this kind of situation, execution trumps strategy. It might be a great strategy, but the execution is really flawed. It’s off the rails.” The statement is surprising coming from Schultz, considering he has long been a firm supporter of President Barack Obama’s health law. This reality is highlighted by the Huffington Post, which reports that he described the Affordable Care Act...

This frightful affair begins with a simple and mundane request from a colleague of mine who manages ALEC’s social media. He wanted to create a meme for this great image and had a seemingly simple question: what is the total value of tax carve-outs on the state and federal level? Carve-outs are the ghoulish tax preferences that allow people and companies to get special treatment from the government and avoid the tax burden that they otherwise would have had to pay given their income or spending levels and their tax rate. For all but the chosen few, carve-outs haunt those...

I'm really ticked off about this idea that you and me and so forth are kook fringe people, as though the Democrat Party and Barack Obama represent the center. What is the center of American politics? Obamacare? The vast majority of the American people don't want it, and more people are joining that group every...

Renee Ellmers : (clip) : “As far as [Obamacare’s] essential health benefits, correct me if I’m wrong — do men not have to buy maternity care?” clip Ms. Sebelius: “Well, an insurance policy has a series of benefits whether you use them or not.” Ms. Ellmers: “And that is why health care premiums are increasing, because we are forcing them to buy things that they will never need. Thank you.” Ms. Sebelius: “The individual policies cover families. Men often do need maternity care for their spouses and for their families, yes.” Ms. Ellmers: “A single male, aged 32,...
