In a little-noticed email published online Wednesday by Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), a young Dominican woman wrote nine months ago that she slept with 59-year-old New Jersey Democratic Sen. Bob Menendez at a series of sex parties organized by Dr. Salomon Melgen, a longtime Menendez campaign donor. “That Senator also likes the youngest and newest girls,” the woman wrote on April 21, 2012, according to an English translation provided to The Daily Caller by a native Spanish speaker. “In the beginning he seemed so serious, because he never spoke to anyone, but he is just like...

Setting the record straight on all of the nonsense: Taunting the Lions in the Lions’ Den The Jewish Press, January 30, 2013 CZC is holding a Purim gala honoring Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer at Santa Monica’s Shangri-La Hotel. By: Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer It is a rare instance when Muslims publicly make amends to Jews for their vicious anti-Semitism and then underwrite a Zionist event honoring two fierce Zionists. In fact, we don’t know of any time this has happened other than this one: the newly formed Creative Zionist Coalition (CZC) is holding a Purim gala honoring Pamela...

Gomer Pyle, USMC, in his 80s, just got married to some guy from Hawaii; some player from Notre Dame had a dead virtual girlfriend who really wasn't alive; and the media are reporting that we've been out of the recession since March of 2009. Well as Gomer would have said, "Golly!" I really don't give a flip who Jim Nabors, who played Gomer, marries and can't really find a reason to understand why Notre Dame's Manti Te'o's private online non-love-life matters, either. But then again, as we enter 2013, let's consider all of the crazy things we never thought...

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Attorneys for the former neighborhood watch volunteer charged with shooting Trayvon Martin to death on Wednesday asked for more time to prepare his case, saying prosecutors had been slow to turn over evidence.

At the same time, Zimmerman's lead attorney, Mark O'Mara, renewed his request for donations to George Zimmerman's legal defense, which he said could cost up to $1 million. "The state has virtually unlimited resources to prosecute George," O'Mara said on Zimmerman's defense fund website.

Garrett McNamara of Hawaii rode a giant wave in Nazaré, Portugal yesterday. It was claimed to be 100 feet high, although the Guinness Book of World Records has not yet confirmed the measurement (the official measurement is usually smaller than initial estimates). Nazaré has unusual conditions for making huge waves … an undersea trench narrows right before the shore, shooting the sea up to the sky at the last minute.

Get your arms around this one, Americans. Obama's Deputy Special Coordinator in the State Department’s Office of Middle East Transition, Mark Ward, held a seminar with two notorious Muslim Brothherood groups, the Muslim American Society (MAS) and the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA). Ward stood side by side with speakers who advocate violent jihad. What was he doing there? Recruiting. This is beyond infiltration. This is a stealth coup. Ward stood with Jamal Badawi. At interfaith events Jamal Badawi. is presented as a scholarly visitor from Canada - a Professor of Business Mathematics at St Johns University in Halifax....

Q: In a recent piece you explained that the Pope can resign if he chooses. To me that raises another question: What would happen if a Pope became so mentally debilitated that he didn’t know what he was doing? It seems to me that he wouldn’t be able to resign under those circumstances. Is there some legal mechanism that would allow the Church to remove him, and call for a conclave to elect a new Pope? Or is there at least a way for the cardinals to take charge of running the Church until that Pope passes away? –Paul

Analyst says list 'a smokescreen' to conceal true intent of bill A key gun law analyst who has published books on the issue of the Second Amendment and its rights and responsibilities for decades says the Feinstein gun ban bill is just exactly that, a gun ban bill. Not, essentially, a plan to limit certain guns. Not a limit on the size of magazines. Not a plan for restrictions on those with certifiable mental instabilities, a ban on criminals’ access or a plan to encourage gun safety. Alan Korwin is a nationally recognized expert resource on the issue of gun...

Although President Obama was willing to order the federal government to stop deporting young ‘DREAMer’ illegal immigrants last summer, he signaled in an interview with Latino network Telemundo that he couldn’t allow all illegal immigrants to stay. Host Jose Diaz-Balart fairly asked him why he couldn’t extend the same benefits to illegal immigrants already in America.

FBI agents on Wednesday removed dozens of boxes from the office of an eye doctor and Democratic donor with close ties to new Senate Foreign Relations chairman Robert Menendez, D-N.J. Menendez denied allegations that he had sex with underage prostitutes while visiting a home of the donor, Dr. Salomon Melgen, in the Dominican Republic. It was not clear if the raid on Melgen’s office was related to Menendez. Agents arrived Melgen’s Vitreo-Retinal Consultants Eye Center near 45th Street and Village Boulevard on Tuesday night and on Wednesday afternoon loaded at least 63 cardboard boxes onto vans. Personnel from the Office...

(Reuters) - In a small town in Syria's east, Islamist militants have taken unclothed mannequins they see as sexually enticing out of the shops. ... Of all the hundreds of rebel units, al-Nusra is considered the most effective. Its fighters, who seek out death in battle as a form of martyrdom, have achieved victories in attacks on several military bases across the country. They still represent a small fraction of the armed anti-Assad groups fighting in Syria but are growing in size and influence. ... Al-Nusra have been shrewd. They took control of the nearby al-Ward oil and gas field...

The one thing that Hagel, Kerry and Brennan all have in common, besides being Washington insiders, is that they all agree that terrorism is basically a misunderstanding. All three fancy themselves men of the world who know more than the peasants back home because they have spent a few days being shepherded through high level meetings in Brussels, Riyadh and Beijing. They have spent decades marinating in talking points and they know, for example, that terrorism is due to poverty and that Islamic terrorists aren't really Muslim, they just try to convince us that they are to trick us into...

'Big Gay' now 'biggest, baddest, boldest bully on the block' Big Pharma and Big Tobacco each have had their day in the sun, and may again sometime, but one pro-family group says there’s another increasingly aggressive and powerful juggernaut at play in America: “Big Gay.” Bryan Fischer, director of issue analysis for the American Family Association, told WND in an interview, “‘Big Gay’ has become the biggest, baddest, boldest bully on the block.” He was reacting to revelations that the Boy Scouts of America are considering giving in to the homosexual lobby and opening their doors to homosexual scouts and...

In The Detroit News, Daniel Howes argued that the state needs to spend more money on higher education. That will lead to more state economic growth, he argued. There have been plenty of other states that have bought this theory and spent more money on higher education. Their results are not encouraging. In 2007, Richard Vedder and Matt Denhart explored the link between state appropriations to higher education and state economic growth. No matter how he sliced it, there was simply no connection between government subsidies to universities and growing your economy. In fiscal year 1980, the proportion of personal...
