Has anybody spoken about starting to form some sort of organizations for the SHTF day on gun control? I know there are some already out there called preppers, but I find most of them a little off. I would gladly follow someone like Allen West, but I'm not to keen about following some produce manager down at WalMart. We need to start vetting our local ex military, Oath Keepers, or cops so we don't end up in total chaos on day one. How many think it may wake the pols up that we are serious or it may piss them...

On January 1, 400 new federal laws took effect. Meanwhile, state legislatures passed 29,000 bills and resolutions, many of which came into force on the first of the year. Local government added thousands of new laws. Ignorance is no excuse, so start cramming on all the weird new regulations you have to follow as of Tuesday: 1. In California, it's now unlawful to let a dog pursue a bear or bobcat at any time. Previously, exceptions had been made for hunting. Bad news for dogs, good news for bears and bobcats. 2. The new laws aren't just about banning things!...

It is clear to any man or woman of honor, that America has fallen from the mortal pantheon of Great Nations. We have, as a people, dwindled into a selfish and self-seeking lot, whose primary focus vacillates between maintaining our grasp of pop-culture, and making sure our prodigious guts are filled. It was not always thus: There was a time when we embraced God; when we would reach out to our fellow man in charity; when we would help nations in distress. Now, as we slide to socialism and communism, where the State enforces a 'charity of poverty', as opposed...

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT RUSH: This is hilarious. As you know, ladies and gentlemen, beginning with the first day of the year, and because of the fiscal cliff deal, the temporary partial tax cut on the Social Security tax expired. There was a temporary partial exemption on the payroll tax. I've been asked if most people noticed it. They didn't notice it until they were told about it. It added up to, depending on your income, it could be a thousand dollars a year that you had extra because of this partial tax. Anyway, on January 1, that partial temporary tax cut...

Gun advocate Ted Nugent has taken it upon himself to write an open letter to U.S. Vice President Joe Biden on how he should handle the issue of gun control. In essence, Nugent is calling for no further gun control but better the use of public service announcements encouraging the public to be aware of warning signs by those in their realm that could point to a possible dangerous situation. The letter, published by the Washington Times, may not be every American's cup of tea nor may it be the right way to avoid further tragedies, but it is possibly...

Using Saturday’s weekly address to praise Congress’ last-minute deal to avert the “fiscal cliff,” Obama said it’s “just one more step” in the larger effort to boost the economy and reduce federal deficits. He said this week’s deal raised taxes on the wealthiest Americans while preventing a middle-class tax hike that could have thrown the country back into recession. “I believe we can find more places to cut spending without shortchanging things like education, job training,...
