Isn’t it fun watching the Panderer – in – Chief, Aflac Obama run around his sinking row boat like the duck in the TV commercial stepping on a hole here and fill a hole there with his wings? As the pages fall off the calendar, Obama races from one pandering opportunity to another. First he is against Gay “marriage” because he wants to sway enough White voters (mostly blue collar Democrats) to get reelected. Then he needs money so he “evolves” on Gay “Marriage.” Gays who make up 3% of voters and will vote 99% for Obama anyway coughed up...

Americans continue to believe strongly that their nation offers them more opportunities than any other country in the world, but they’re not nearly as confident in America’s place in the world. Just 43% of American Adults now view the United States as the last best hope of mankind, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey. That’s down from 51% who felt that way in May 2010. Thirty percent (30%) say America is not the last best hope of mankind, as Ronald Reagan famously described it, but nearly as many (27%) are not sure. (To see survey question wording,...

Read my lips. No new taxes. Those were the famous words spoken by Vice President George H.W. Bush at the 1988 Republican convention upon his acceptance of his party's nomination for president. The words came back to bite him. Two years later, dealing with budget deficits, Bush broke his pledge and increased taxes, including a 5-cent-a-gallon increase in the gas tax. And despite his soaring popularity after the successful invasion of Iraq (Operation Desert Storm) to free Kuwait, the American voters in 1992 turned against him and denied the senior Bush a second term. Instead, the voters elected Democrat Bill...

Just a question...I find myself getting either furious or depressed about the state of our country. As a Christian, I realize that I need to keep a perspective about these things but it's very difficult. I look at someone like Breitbart, who was in the midst of the struggle and was suddenly taken away, to a new place where presumably, it is all irrelevant. I just wonder how you all manage to keep on an even keel emotionally about all of this. Thanks in advance for your words of wisdom!

(CNNMoney) -- Boost the U.S. economy now and worry about cutting deficits later, the International Monetary Fund recommended Tuesday. The U.S. recovery remains "tepid" and according to the IMF, is expected to grow only 2% this year. Meanwhile, the fiscal cliff looms in 2013, threatening to reduce the economy's growth to only 1% next year. Amid that weakness and threats from slower growth abroad, the IMF recommended U.S. lawmakers spend more on infrastructure, worker training programs, extended unemployment benefits and fixes for the housing market. "The composition of spending should be as growth-friendly as possible," the report said. The IMF...

With just over four months to go before the election, and Republicans ravening to make health care a frontline issue, the Obama campaign still appears to be pursuing a "wishful thinking" strategy. They are simply wishing that the Affordable Care Act, the president's signature domestic achievement, would go away now that the Supreme Court has delivered what they hope is a "final answer," to quote White House Chief of Staff Jacob Lew. "I don't think the American people want to have this debate again," Lew said on Fox News Sunday, reflecting the "let's move on" approach reported by National Journal's...

Evangelical groups aren’t the only evangelists on college campuses now. There’s a new kid in town, and its passion for evangelism and Bible reading burns bright—in the form of Catholic prayer candles. Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS), a national Catholic college campus outreach, began in 1998 with four missionaries at one campus, Benedictine College in Atchison, Kan. Fourteen years later, it has now trained and sent out more than 300 missionaries spread out across 74 campuses in 30 states. That’s still small compared to other campus outreach groups, but founder and president Curtis Martin said FOCUS will “be a...

BELLEVUE, WA --(Ammoland.com)- Squandering an opportunity to redeem the Garden State for its long disparagement of the Second Amendment – and in particular, the right to carry – New Jersey’s newly appointed Attorney General has instead slapped gun owners in the face in the latest set of papers in a federal lawsuit brought by ANJRPC and the Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) to overturn New Jersey’s unconstitutional handgun carry laws. NEW BRITAIN —— The day Alexandra Pennell addressed an anti-hate rally at Central Connecticut State University about the anti-gay messages scrawled on her door, police had begun to question her claims. Twice the video surveillance system placed in Pennell's room to help police identify the person responsible for scrawling the notes had been disabled, in one case just before a note was slid under Pennell's dorm room door. Police say only after they set up a second camera in a hall closet — a camera that Pennell did not know about — did they learn the truth: Pennell had been...

New Hampshire Governor John Lynch signed HB 146 on June 18, 2012 - which reads: "...a Right of Accused. In all criminal proceedings the court shall permit the defense to inform the jury of its right to judge the facts and the application of the law in relation to the facts in controversy. Over two dozen college-age protesters gathered this morning outside the White House to protest the Obama administration’s handling of the Fast and Furious “gun walking” investigation that has embroiled Attorney General Eric Holder. The protest involved a variety of handmade signs featuring such messages as “AG doesn’t mean Above Government” and “Guns don’t kill people, Holder does,” many featuring the Twitter hashtag #FireHolder, which has taken off in popularity in recent weeks. Timothy Dionisopoulos, 23, co-created a Facebook event last week promoting the rally, and the page has quickly turned into a gathering place for those wishing to share articles...
