By SARAH PALIN Writing in the New York Times last month, President Barack Obama asked that Americans "talk with one another, and not over one another" as our health-care debate moves forward. I couldn't agree more. Let's engage the other side's arguments, and let's allow Americans to decide for themselves whether the Democrats' health-care proposals should become governing law. Some 45 years ago Ronald Reagan said that "no one in this country should be denied medical care because of a lack of funds." Each of us knows that we have an obligation to care for the old, the young and...

COULD this footage be proof that aliens are among us? The startling film has been leaked on the internet and UFO watchers reckon it could be proof of a government cover-up. The mystery craft looks far from threatening as it flanks the supersonic F18 fighter above the skies of the US. oof that aliens are among us?

At the height of the Intifada, the Israelis and Arabs realized that, if they continued, they would someday end up destroying the world. So they sat down and decided to settle the whole dispute with a dogfight. The negotiators agreed that each country would take five years to develop the best fighting dog they could. The dog that won the fight would earn its country the right to rule the world. The losing side would have to lay down its arms. The Arabs found the biggest, meanest Dobermans and Rottweilers in the world. They bred them together and then crossed...

Health Care: The president may embrace a dubious public option "trigger" before Congress on Wednesday. But neither that nor any other gimmick will persuade Americans to take the road to socialized medicine.During the long August recess, much of the public discovered the truth about health "reform," and they attended town hall meetings to let their elected representatives know it loud and clear. Polls show a healthy majority unwilling to accept a radical transformation of the U.S. health care system. In this context, the establishment media are playing up the drama of the president's speech Wednesday night to a joint session...

The Democratic Party, at least since the 1960s, has been a party known for love and openness. They want you to think their tent is open to all. They want you to think that they are all about freedoms and free speech. Well what happened to that party? Where has it gone? Now all I hear coming from the Left is the desire to silence dissenters and a plethora of name calling usually limited to fights on a school yard. When did the party for the people become the party of such mean people? Have you heard the names used...

Whatever faults the Republican Party has had, the basic problem has been that many Republican politicians forgot what they were supposed to stand for once they gained office. The program of the Democratic Party, however, is entirely based on lies and deceptions. Most of the time they are afraid to let voters know what they really stand for. Right now they are trying hard to pass a "public option" disguised as something else so voters won't realize what they are doing. It is against this backdrop that concerned Americans not forget the origins of the housing and financial crisis that...

A WORLD-famous US surgeon pulled out of retirement to fill in at a regional hospital has been forced to abandon Australia in a visa bungle. Dr Frank Trost, 77, a globally recognised orthopedic surgeon, has been locked in a bitter six-month wrangle over his visa status amid new restrictions on foreign-trained doctors. Yet, despite the dire shortage of doctors in regional hospitals, Queensland Health and the Immigration Department have refused to budge. "I feel badly used," Dr Trost said yesterday. "If I'd not gone back to work, I'd be happily retired and still living the dream. We don't want to...

But this, as someone has said, can be a teachable moment. The real speech you should let your children hear will come Wednesday night, when the President addresses a joint session of Congress, the first non-State of the Union type speech since 9/11. Let your kids hear what the President has to say, then discuss it with them. Might I even suggest a few topics for discussion as well...

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Marsha Swopes survived Hurricane Katrina and came to live in a free house from Fanny Mae. For two years she's called Antioch home, until Sheriff's Deputies showed up to evict her. Tuesday was moving day for Swopes, her two daughters and two grandchildren, but they had nowhere to go. "I'm just tired of moving. I want a place of my own that I can afford. I don't want to move anymore," said Swopes. For the last two years Swopes has lived in a home on Fanny Mae's dime. The company launched a relief program to help evacuees...

What is peculiar about this particular right-wing rebirth is the speed with which it is happening. We had the crash last year, as in 1929. The financial gods were duly dethroned, the banks started to fail, and the mighty were humbled, as per the time-honored script. A market-worshiping Republican Party went down in an avalanche of obloquy. A scary new populism made the cover of Newsweek back in March. But then we skipped a step. Some new version of the Bonus Army never marched on Washington. No Huey Long materialized to haunt the wealthy and we have endured no wave...

TEHRAN, Iran - Iranian security agents on Tuesday raided offices connected to senior reformist leader Mahdi Karroubi, arresting four aides and closing the headquarters of his political party, which had been probing abuse of protesters arrested in the country's postelection crackdown. The raids appeared aimed at crushing a campaign spearheaded by Karroubi to bring to light alleged torture and rapes of detainees — allegations that have deeply embarrassed Iran's government and clerical leadership. The raids also come amid increasing calls by hard-line clerics and commanders in the Revolutionary Guard for the arrest of Karroubi and fellow opposition leaders Mir Hossein...

It is now well established that Barack Obama was linked to the Hawaiian Communist Party network through his boyhood/teenage mentor Frank Marshall Davis. It is also well known that after moving to Chicago, Obama linked up with the local communist networks. Manning Marable, a leader of the Communist Party offshoot Committees of Correspondence for Democracy&Socialism claims that Obama "understands what socialism is. A lot of the people working with him are, indeed, socialists with backgrounds in the Communist Party or as independent Marxists. There are a lot of people like that in Chicago who have worked with him for years..."...

MEXICO CITY — Mexican President Felipe Calderon replaced his point man in the drug war Monday, accepting the resignation of the attorney general whose image was tarnished by charges that his top confidant was on the take. The departure of Attorney General Eduardo Medina-Mora constituted the biggest shakeup in Calderon's offensive against organized crime. The president said it signified the second phase of his six-year presidency, which will reach its halfway mark in December. Calderon said the changes did not signal a relaxation in the government's assault on vicious drug cartels. But the president's all-out war has drawn criticism as...

Patients with terminal illnesses are being made to die prematurely under a scheme by Britain’s equivalent of medicare to help end their lives, leading doctors claim. In a letter to the Daily Telegraph, a group of experts who care for the terminally ill claim some patients are being wrongly judged as close to death. Under National Health Service guidelines introduced in England, medical staff can withdraw fluid and drugs from dying patients and many are put on continuous sedation until they die. But this approach can also mask signs of improvement, the experts say. As a result, the scheme is...

Here is video from Glenn Beck's show today where he showed a graphic with the Titanic headed for an iceberg. On the Titanic were the words "U.S.S. Constitution," and on the iceberg were the pictures of Obama's Czars. Beck said the greatest danger of the iceberg is what you cannot see beneath the surface. Therefore, what must be done is to stop the ship - meaning don't let anything be passed by Obama and the Democrats until it is clear what they are really up to. He then talked with Michelle Malkin about some of Obama's czars, particularly Ron Bloom,...
