The Democratic Party, at least since the 1960s, has been a party known for love and openness. They want you to think their tent is open to all. They want you to think that they are all about freedoms and free speech. Well what happened to that party? Where has it gone? Now all I hear coming from the Left is the desire to silence dissenters and a plethora of name calling usually limited to fights on a school yard. When did the party for the people become the party of such mean people?
Have you heard the names used against anyone who stands up against leftist policies? Nancy Pelosi thinks we are Nazis and Un-American. Keith Olbermann says we are wackos with “tinfoil hats”. And Van Jones told a large audience that we’re A**holes.
One of the newers voices of the Left on the airwaves is Ed Schultz who hosts "The Ed Show" each night on MSNBC. He is supposedly more moderate and nice than Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow. However, last Friday alone, all in a one house show, he called Congresswoman Michele Bachmann and Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty psychos by featuring them on “Psycho Talk”. Bachmann was also called “delusional” and a “conspiracy theorist” just for good measure. He also labeled Senator Chuck Grassley a “snake in the Grassley”. The Tea Party activists also got the “psycho” label. (That must be his favorite slam.) They were also dubbed “informationally challenged”. He said people on the Right “hate public education”. He even went so far as to infer that many who didn’t want their kids watching President Barack Obama’s school speech did it because they were racists:

I have to admit, I had never heard of this guy until about two weeks ago. Oh well, I think Schultz, Olbermann, Rachel Madcow, Bill Maher, Barack Obama, and the rest of the Left are a bunch of @ssholes.
Free speech is all well and good, and it has it’s proper place. But irresponsible free speech can actually interfere with the accomplishment of the goals of our enlightened leaders, and so we must take a very close look at the parameters in which free speech can be exercised by the unenlightened.
The Dems can no long feign “peace & love” with all those abortions under their belts.
It’s my understanding he’s a failed sportscaster who is paid to spit out socialist drivel, but in a manner that can appeal to the man’s man types.
Nobody even listens to the freak, so I wouldn’t worry about it too much. He is just trying to get ratings before he is tossed out on the street...lol.

The Dems are specialists at character assassinations. They are also specialists at making outrageous accusations, then apologizing and saying “Let’s move on”!
are you speaking about schultz or losermann of both??? loserman moved from ESPN to Fox Sports and was fired he was so bad....how can one mess up giving the scores to WNBA games???
Oh, yeah. I forgot about Uberdork. After reading up on him, I wouldn’t necessarily characterize Schultz as “failed”, more like “crappy”, maybe.
One nice thing I can say about Ed Schultz is that his fill-in guest host is even worse (Lawrence O’Donnell).

I was flipping the dial one day & came across his show & this idiot used the “psycho” word against Rep. Ron Paul. But wait a minute: a lot of our fellow FReepers do the same thing! Could they be in bed w/ Mr. Ed?

I heard Ed Schultz for years. A week ago Thursday he was on with Scott Hennen..WZFG The Flag...Fargo ND..on Scott’ talk show...where Ed lived for years. (Ed used to have his own radio talk show locally here ...also was a sportscaster for WDAY TV.) I only heard about the exchange with him and Scott later...but I heard Scott say that Ed hung up on him. Typical Ed. I saw him walk off the set on one of the Fox shows a while back also. We heard he was funded by Soros. He must have bluffed them all...what a waste of their money!

According to them, they are the Sole Arbiters of what is “Valid” Free Speech.
They used to talk about wanting free and open debate with a marketplace of Ideas, But that was many Decades ago.
