Congressional generic still a virtual dead heat, Zogby America poll shows The 2000 election for control of the House of Representatives remains a virtual dead heat, a Zogby America poll revealed. The survey, conducted November 20-22 of 880 likely voters nationwide, showed that Republicans received support from 33.1% of the respondents while Democrats received 31.8%, with another 31.8% of those surveyed Undecided. The survey had a margin of sampling error of +/- 3.4%. When considering only those who responded, Republicans received 48.5% while Democrats received 46.7%.
