Cry me a river. Failed 2012 GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney was reportedly in tears when he told attendees of his Summit, which has been described as a safe space for the Never Trump smart set, that seeing Trump as the Republican nomination was breaking his heart. One wonders if Romney is really sad that Trumps candidacy has resonated with working Americans more than his inflexible and robotic campaign ever did. Romney also reportedly ripped Ted Cruz and John Kasich for not taking on Trump harsh enough from the outset. But where was tough guy Romney when Trump was rising in the polls? He, like most of the GOP Smart Set who have never been in touch with the partys voters, probably thought Trumps candidacy would fade away.
9:35: Meg Whitman, who could not get voters to like her despite giving Mike Murphy gazillions to spend, reportedly compared Trump to historical demagogues like Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini at Romneys retreat. Also at the safe space for the Never Trump smart set, Ana Navarro, the GOP sellout who spends more time attacking conservatives than Democrats to ensure, reportedly called Trump a racist and a vulgarian and a pig who has made disgusting comments about women for years.
[Why dont these people just become Democrats and try to make them more fiscally responsible?]
"Somewhere there is a child free of gay molestation.
That cannot be allowed."
But for his lack of fire, spine and fight, Romney would already be a president running now for reelection. If he is crying, it’s because OUR complaints that he refused to take a fight to the obam are being validated by the Trump nomination.
Where was "tough guy" Romney when he was running against Obama?
Cry baby, cry. Make your mother sigh. You know you ought to know better, cry baby, cry. The rino right is joined with the lying left and Romney is bitter about not being elected but he should not lie about Trump.
Where was “tough guy” Romney in October 2012?

Wow, the Romney crap is still relevant!
It's called defenestration. I guess Romney didn't know how much it hurt to lose in 2012 until 2016. That's delayed reality syndrome, popular with the RINOs.
Meg Whitman talks like a liberal cause she is one. I am a man and not ashamed to say that such women make me vomit up my good breakfast and they are in the rino right as well as the communist left.
Tears of a CLOWN!
I didn't think vulgarians were allowed to have anything to do with pigs. I thought they only associated with tomatoes, lettuce, and the like.
Romney and Glenn Beck could form a double-act.
My huge regret...to have voted for this POS in 2012.
End result: elder Romney won reelection in a landslide, carrying 15% of the black vote.
Goldwater lost in Michigan by a landslide, carrying just 2% of the black vote.
Today boy Mitt is walking in his dad's footprints, except there are huge differences.
For one thing, Trump is hardly the conservative, even on civil rights, that Goldwater was.
For another, Mitt is not running for anything this year.
So all his efforts to oppose Trump come strictly from force of habit: like father, like son.

Younger Mitt meeting with President Obama after 2012 defeat:
It sounds like elder Romneys magic underwear is in a bunch

It sounds to me like he’s caught something from Glenn Beck - symptoms are crying a lot & acting like you need a straight jacket. If he starts rolling in Cheetos dust, we’ll know it for sure.
Myth Romney is a cancer on the body politic.
If Trump went after Obama with the same intensity he has demonstrated against Trump, he would have won
Giving the word “Romney” a new meaning. A “Romney” is a person who pretends to be one thing when he is really a completely different person. An expression like Manchurian Candidate comes to mind. But the willfulness of Romney’s deception makes a Romney all the more despicable. Let history judge him like it has judged his well hated father.
Jealousy will make you do that.
I voted for him to be a Senator, a Governor, a President, more than once including primary votes.
Now he takes that political capital in order to disrupt this years process.
The contempt I feel is towards him is not insignificant.
