Just attended the rally in Inverness, FL (Citrus County) 04/18/2009 and it was a very interesting time.

I’d have like to gone to one but was swamped with work. The number of supporters like me would be a significant number, no doubt.

Id have like to gone to one but was swamped with work. I'm sorry ... for an event this important ... work is NOT an excuse ... that IS part of the problem ... yes we conservatives usually have jobs to go to ... far less now however. BUT this was a time that work should have been on the back burner. If you are NOT willing to sacrifice just ONE day of work for something this important then you ARE part of the problem ... IMO

The march on DC is supposed to be in mid September. Check out freedomsfirst.org for more information.

If there is a march on Washington I really think I will go..Let us know so we can make arrangements for our hotel rooms..It will be a great day if that happens since we could get everything stopped with the number of people that would go there..I am sure if it did happen old BO and his stoogies will be out of town and say they didn't see or hear about any Tea party..

Here here!! I agree... not that I have a job to go to. I've been laid off since Feb 1st, but if I did have a job I would have taken the day off to go.

I think the appropriate time to march in Washington would be Labor Day - YES, it’s a holiday but it would be symbolic. It seems we now labor only for the government anymore as we can keep very little of the fruit of our labor.

The MSM certainly has their panties in a wad over this insignificant, meaningless, worthless, trivial, stupid protest by a handful of wicked, dangerous, evil, right wing nuts.
I appreciate your contribution toward causing this, and many other, revolting developments.
P.S. I'm not sure why I posted the cartoon on this thread. Perhaps I thought it perfectly illustrates our Community Organizer's keen intellect. And perhaps I thought you might enjoy it.

I have gone to protests DURING my lunch hour ... if only to show support. I too am out of work ... been since Oct. BUT had I been working, I know that I would have had a dental/medical/vacation day to burn ... the Sacramento tea party was three hours ... tell me that half a day of work is more important than this

There will definitely be a march on Washington and, GOD willing, I will definitely be there! Pitchfork in hand!!
Give me Liberty or give me Death!!

Not everyone has time off or paid time off or even a boss that is decent. With tough times, many are just looking for a reason to “can” a person so try not to be so harsh.
I am a full-time college student and am wrapping up my semester. I wanted to go to the tea party desperately but it conflicted with my physics class and I can’t miss THAT class as I’m not smart enough. Also, we have labs every class and if you miss the lab, you can’t make it up.
If you don’t have such pressures, good for you. If they had done it on a Saturday, I could’ve made it but nobody can make every event every time. People do have children, sick parents, etc. etc. Get real, in other words.

I'm with you all the way. Funny thing is... this is the first time I actually got off my rump to do anything about things. I feel really good about this. DC should be scared. As stated last night on Hannity, the lefties are used to protesting. If five Code Pinkos get within a square mile of each other they can sniff each other out and start a protest in seconds, but conservatives just don't do things like this. The amount of people in the streets was amazing. I'm glad we are shaking off the rust. LET”S GET BUSY!
