Holding signs reading "Stimulate Business, Not Government," "Families Against Porkulus" and "Say No To Generational Theft," protesters opposed to the $787 billion stimulus package have been mobilizing across the country.
It started last Monday in Seattle, then moved Tuesday to Denver, where President Obama signed the stimulus bill into law. That was followed by another one in Mesa, Ariz., where Obama unveiled a mortgage rescue plan.
Another protest was planned for Saturday outside the office of Rep. Dennis Moore in Overland Park, Kan. The Democrat voted for the stimulus. His office didn't return calls seeking comment.
A New Populism?
As unemployment soars and anger over Wall Street bailouts mounts, public outrage will seek an outlet. Populism could go in many directions and could easily ebb when the economy revives.

I wonder how many of those people voted for the Messiah. Time for “I regret my vote” T-shirts?
Take the money. Then immediately forward it to a conservative cause of your choice. Help the porkulus destroy itself.
These really won’t matter until they start burning down offices of politicians that voted for the debt/pork packages...

That probably begins late summer as it all sinks in and the details of where the money went. People are really getting mad. I think that’s what the wannabe *ruler* wants.
with the politicians in them? JUST KIDDING!
But seriously, people have often miscast the possibility of revolution as doomed because “you can’t fight jets and tanks” but that’s not how it would be done.
First of all, ALL States function as a result of their credibility or fear of punishment (combined with ‘opinion.’) Without it, all States are basically outnumbered in manpower by the citizenry. Second, that assumes that all military personnel would follow orders or that the orders would be given to perform bombing runs on American cities or towns. Third, since it’s the politicians who give the orders and act as holders of State credibility, the issue would be much more simply solved by going after those who are invested with the power of the State, not in battlefield confrontations with a superior foe.
So what you suggest is how it could be done. The problem is, we have some sneaky and evil people who will use any potential revolution as the means by which to accumulate MORE power to the State and to preferred classes of people and to consolidate their own tyrannical powers.
~~~ Feb. 27th Tea Party ..... PING!
If your state isn’t indicated for an event, think
about putting it together now. Contact your FR locale
board and organize your area FReepers for your Tea
Party.
http://www.freerepublic.com/perl/profiles
At the top of each state’s page, you’ll find the list
of FReepers from that state.
Then you should post that info on the FReeper locale
board for your state; i.e., California’s board:
http://www.freerepublic.com/perl/profiles?location=53
Every time a FReeper opens FR for the 1st time that
day, the newest board message will appear.
No — a revolution!
A 2010 GOP house can throw out 60% of Porkulus.
What is the point? The dems won’t care until we have a civil war.
The point is that in the 21st century we can't have a civil war. But we can use 21st century technology to our advantage. The written word has more power now than ever before. Think about it: Right now, you're reading the ramblings of a schmuck like me. Would that have been possible 20 years ago? In 1775, it took months for the "shot heard 'round the world" to be heard. In 2009, it takes microseconds for the likes of me to send my message worldwide. I'm a gun owner, and the second amendment reaffirms my right to bear arms, and all the power therein. I'm also a computer owner, and the first amendment reaffirms my right to free speech, and all that power therein. Right now, my Compaq laptop is a much more effective weapon than my Colt M1911A1.
The Dems will care if we overwhelm them with a barrage of facts. I am confident that we can go very far on the first amendment. If not, we then still have the second amendment to fall back on.
Or... posting pictures of them with their lovers on the internet...
What better reason to declare Marshall Law! Ol Floopy Ears knows what he is doing and we are playing right into his hands. But, he forgets... we are tough and we are fighting for our lives and liberty!
Actually, we ought to start with ACORN who believe that they have a right to engage in civil disobedience. Did you read the story of an ACORN group who cut off the padlock on a foreclosed house to let the defaulting owner back in?
We had better start now before they launch their own version of "Kristallnacht."
The Dems won't be able to recognize real facts if it bit them on the nose, and they don't give a GD about the 2nd Amendment or any other part of the Constitution. The people that we need to reach first are the ones who did not vote for Obama.
