Jay McKinnon, a self-described Department of Homeland Security-trained document specialist, has implicated himself in the production of fraudulent Hawaii birth certificate images similar to the one endorsed as genuine by the Barack Obama campaign, and appearing on the same blog entry where the supposedly authentic document appears.
The evidence of forgery and manipulation of images of official documents, triggered by Israel Insider's revelation of the collection of Hawaii birth certificate images on the Photobucket site and the detective work of independent investigative journalists and imaging professionals in the three weeks since the publication of the images, implicate the Daily Kos, an extreme left blog site, and the Obama campaign, in misleading the public with official-looking but manipulated document images of doubtful provenance.
The perceived unreliability of the image has provoked petitions and widespread demands for Obama to submit for objective inspection the paper versions of the "birth certificate" he claimed in his book Dreams from My Father was in his possession, as well as the paper version of the Certificate of Live Birth for which the image on the Daily Kos and the Obama "Fight the Smears" website was supposedly generated.
Without a valid birth certificate, Obama cannot prove he fulfills the "natural born citizen" requirement of the Constitution, throwing into doubt his eligibility to run for President.
McKinnon, who says he is 25-30 years old, operates a website called OpenDNA.com and uses the OpenDNA screen name on various web sites and blogs, including his comments and diary on The Daily Kos. In recent years he has divided his time between Long Beach, California and Vancouver, British Columbia. He is a Democratic political activist, frequent contributor to the left wing Daily Kos blog, and a fervent Barack Obama supporter.

There is definitely something amiss. I just don’t know what a solid source is. I think getting Ann Dunham’s birth certifcate will help.
Regardless of the fact that the BC is a fraud or not, his mother was an US citizen, and, regardless of age, her children are too by default. End of story, really. People need to stop at these petty arguments and start addressing at the real danger of electing Obama (and not his lack of providing a birth certificate).
First place, your "his mother was a US citizen, and . . . her children are too by default. . . ." is wrong. If Obama was born in Kenya, he is neither a citizen nor eligible to hold the office of President of the United States.
Second, will someone please tell me after having looked carefully at the McKinnon interview: Do we still understand that the Birth Certificate on the campaign sites is fraudulent? Does that certificate continue to have the dot that indicates it ultimately originates with the forms on the McKinnon site? Does SEMom's analysis of the sequence of the posting still fit the facts, even if McKinnon's "interview" is accurate?
Is the campaign site Birth Certificate defensible as a valid Birth Certificate? Is there a number? Does it have a clear seal? Is there a certificate by a public official attesting to accuracy?
Because unless you get a certificate that can then be taken to the original public records and confirmed, the only evidence of his birth in Hawaii is still a fake.
And there is a fair amount of reporting that raises at least the inference that he was in fact born in Kenya.

You believe what representation is correct? That the picture of Obama Jr. with Obama Sr. at the airport was taken the same day as the one with his mother and father alone? Or what?

I was born in the US. My daughter was born in Heidelberg, Germany in 1970. We traveled to several countries and entered the US in 1973 on my passport. She was not required to have her own. The only requirement for her was that her picture was next to mine on my passport.

My first US Passport was issued in 1972, and it had space in it for my wife and all of my children. Of course, at that time I had neither wife nor children, but if I had, they would not have needed their own passports.

The idea that he could have been born in an exotic locale like Kenya and his Mom would keep it from him for life *and* manage to fool passport folks over it, it absurd. It is further absurd to imagine Barack was in on the joke all along.

You have ZERO evidence to confabulate this on, yet the obvious answer is right there in front of you.
Posting state dept trivia is irrelevent as you have ZERO evidence his passport was obtained through this means.

In young Barry's case it is entirely possible that he was deliberately lied to. Suppose Stanley Ann wanted to give her kid every advantage? Not an unreasonable thing to do for a brand new baby, is it? You have an opportunity to raise his station in life from third world birth to American Citizen. For whatever reason you find yourself on US soil with an brand new baby, and realized that a little white lie on a couple documents can get him a "bullet proof" citizenship. (compare this to a Mexican woman showing up at a US hospital with a itty-bitty baby and claiming it was born at a friend's home in Chula Vista). If the kid ever blabs that he was reallllly born elsewhere (say something like "Aged 10, he returned to Hawaii to live with his grandparents and attend Punahou School. He made friends quickly and told his classmates that his father was an African prince, the leader of a proud and successful people, and he was born in Kenya." It might cause an awkward question or two. Easier to tell the little darling that he was born in Hawai'i and be done with it.
IOW, Like Bush with Iraqi WMDs, Obama isn't lying, he's reporting the facts as he knows them! They might not be an accurate representation of reality, but they are what they sincerely believe.

Being born in America is a GOOD THING.
Very pregnant Mexican women routinely risk dying of thirst to sneak across the desert to so their babies just that.
Anyone who had an opportunity to assert US birth for their baby would be sorely tempted to do so.
US birth opens many doors in life. It is by far the simplest way to assert US citizenship. The simplest way to qualify to vote, get a job, join the military, apply for welfare, etc., etc. is to be born here.
Stop asserting that the only reason Stanley Ann would lie about where her baby was born is so he could run for president some day. It makes you look as foolish as you think I look for citing personal testimony of relatives who claim to have attended his birth in Kenya...
