Jay McKinnon, a self-described Department of Homeland Security-trained document specialist, has implicated himself in the production of fraudulent Hawaii birth certificate images similar to the one endorsed as genuine by the Barack Obama campaign, and appearing on the same blog entry where the supposedly authentic document appears.
The evidence of forgery and manipulation of images of official documents, triggered by Israel Insider's revelation of the collection of Hawaii birth certificate images on the Photobucket site and the detective work of independent investigative journalists and imaging professionals in the three weeks since the publication of the images, implicate the Daily Kos, an extreme left blog site, and the Obama campaign, in misleading the public with official-looking but manipulated document images of doubtful provenance.
The perceived unreliability of the image has provoked petitions and widespread demands for Obama to submit for objective inspection the paper versions of the "birth certificate" he claimed in his book Dreams from My Father was in his possession, as well as the paper version of the Certificate of Live Birth for which the image on the Daily Kos and the Obama "Fight the Smears" website was supposedly generated.
Without a valid birth certificate, Obama cannot prove he fulfills the "natural born citizen" requirement of the Constitution, throwing into doubt his eligibility to run for President.
McKinnon, who says he is 25-30 years old, operates a website called OpenDNA.com and uses the OpenDNA screen name on various web sites and blogs, including his comments and diary on The Daily Kos. In recent years he has divided his time between Long Beach, California and Vancouver, British Columbia. He is a Democratic political activist, frequent contributor to the left wing Daily Kos blog, and a fervent Barack Obama supporter.

Why are they using a forged birth certificate though?
It will matter to some of the people of this country. You see with so many negatives already surrounding Obama,it could make a difference to those riding the fence.

The only proof you offer is an electronic copy of a very questionable Birth Certificate.
No other common background documentation seems to exist. No hospital record of birth, no birth announcement in the local papers, no entry in a family Bible, no diaper service receipts, no recollections of the busybody next door.
We do have reports from relatives who claim to have been at his birth in Kenya.
Look, I just went through getting a certified copy of my own BC. It took me all of 5 minutes to find an on line service that would handle the paperwork, perhaps an hour or so to track down a notary to certify that it's really me on signing the documents (BTW, a notary won't accept a Passport as valid ID!) and about $20. Got it in about a week.
It's not that hard.

What I fear is that by dropping false clues (Old enough to remember the "Paul is dead" mania?), the Obama campaign will let the opposition work themselves up into a frenzy and then release the original paper copy to paint all Obama opponents as tin-foil hatters.
That photo doesn’t confirm or deny anything about which child it is. I can’t tell from the BW to the colors.
And the discriptencies that have been coming out on Barack’s past are amazing.

It’s not silly if the American people are seeking the truth. This man with NO experience and who has connections with very unsavory people wants to President. I have family,that’s in-laws mind you, who always vote for the dems,and they can’t stand Obama or for that fact Hillery. But beside all of this is how has McCain reached out to the voters he has disdain for? He has already said he will NOT drill in Alaska,he hasn’t spoke of Nuclear energy,flex-fuel cars,new refineries,all he has said was we must look to alternatives! Well that makes me feel better,NOT! McCain needs to make a commitment and challenge the dems to commit to starting doing something NOW! We can’t let the cowards get away with doing nothing and at the same time asking for our vote!!! I just sent an email to my Senator, Mitch McConnell and told him just how I feel about NOBODY doing nothing and yet they all want our votes. The American people have got to wake up and see they have the power to do something NOW. Not after they get their votes and then can continue on to do nothing like they have done for 30 years!

I think a big difference with the speculation that this is a setup by Obama people to make the Right look foolish and inoculate Obama from further damaging revelations, is that there was no phony "whitey" tape, and there was a phony certificate.
I can't recall a presidential campaign that ever released a forged document as an attempt to tempt their opposition into wasting time on a red-herring. The release of the forged document in the first place is a criminal act.
A candidate that did that would have to be almost Nixonian in his fear of enemies.

Birth Abroad to One Citizen and One Alien Parent in Wedlock: A child born abroad to one U.S. citizen parent and one alien parent acquires U.S. citizenship at birth under Section 301(g) INA provided the citizen parent was physically present in the U.S. for the time period required by the law applicable at the time of the child's birth. (For birth on or after November 14, 1986, a period of five years physical presence, two after the age of fourteen is required. For birth between December 24, 1952 and November 13, 1986, a period of ten years, five after the age of fourteen are required for physical presence in the U.S. to transmit U.S. citizenship to the child.
But of course that's for children born in Wedlock. If he was born outside the US and out of wedlock then the following applies
Birth Abroad Out-of-Wedlock to a U.S. Citizen Mother: A child born abroad out-of-wedlock to a U.S. citizen mother may acquire U.S. citizenship under Section 301(g) INA, as made applicable by Section 309(c) INA if the mother was a U.S. citizen at the time of the child's birth, and if the mother had previously been physically present in the United States or one of its outlying possessions for a continuous period of one year.
But notice "may acquire", meaning not a citizen by birth or a natural born citizen?
Yes they are. There are only TWO classes of US citizens. Either you are BORN one or you are naturalized by taking the oath.

Not at all. Well before anything was posted on the internet, his stock bio said this:

His Mom was at Univ. of Hawaii and so was his Dad. Two communists in love, isn’t that special? The idea that thse two would interrupt their lives and fly overseas for no apparent reason other than to have Barack born in a dangerous 3rd world country is ... bizarre. And counterfactual.
