COMMAND CONFIDENCE Kerry staff: "Unfit not a problem, media is committed to seeing us win")

According to a Kerry campaign source, senior campaign advisers tasked two Washington-based campaign staffers to vet the recently published Unfit for Command.
"The purpose was to compare what that book had with what we had on file from Senator Kerry," says the campaign source, who said that the research project developed more than 75 instances where Kerry's recollections, previous remarks, or writings conflicted with the book's reporting.
"We took some of the most glaring examples, like the Christmas in Cambodia story, and presented them to senior staff, and we assume that those things were put in front of Senator Kerry," says the source. "We haven't heard a word about it. All we were told is that it was being taken care of."
The campaign source said that the book was not considered a "serious" problem for the campaign, because, "the media wouldn't have the nerve to come at us with this kind of stuff," says the source.
"The senior staff believes the media is committed to seeing us win this thing, and that the convention inoculated us from these kinds of stories. The senior guys really think we don't have a problem here."

but the are committed to their own ratings first. If they think the public is interested in this story,I think it is less about interested and more about aware. The public would certainly be interested to learn that one of the two major Presidential candidates is a serial liar. The media will bury this story, and try to keep the public unaware of it. If the public becomes aware of it, they will have to report it or they will lose more credibility.
The key is getting the information out there. If the public becomes aware of many of the negatives, the media will have to sink Kerry because it will either be Kerry or the MSM that sinks.
This is a battle that will be won or lost at the water cooler and the backyard party. Sally forth!

"There are so many people who don't question the media at all, and they clearly want to elect Kerry."Let us not forget Hillary, who plans on being President in '08.
The media is aware of this along with sKerry.
I really don't think we have too much to worry about.

"Eventually there will be a tipping point and Americans won't put up with being lied to anymore...."
Unfortunately I don't share your optimism.
Most American's don't have a clue as to when they are being lied to. The number of people willing to search for the truth, past the media sound bites, gets smaller every day.
Any person of reason would never take Kerry seriously, with regard to the WOT, if they studied his past record in the Senate. The fact is most don't know and really don't care find out.
Sounds pessimistic I know, but after talking with many people it has not ceased to amaze me how uninformed they really are.

Of course the media wants to help Kerry win. The problem is his campaign keeps doing stuff that makes it difficult for media to help him look good. In other words, if his campaign is acting like a bunch of amateurs, there's only so much even a Kerry-compliant media can do on the candidate's behalf.

If the MSM can ignore this stinkin' pile in the middle of the Living Room carpet, I will never trust them again. Give yourself a healthy head start, and stop trusting them NOW. The media is not trustworthy, never has been. Use your own talents to figure out what is going on.

I get a lot of emails that say you can increase the size of your ping by up to 33%, oh wait, uhh, never mind.
Don't forget about Kerry sittin in on the Phoenix project. The media is giving him a total pass on this, too.
These are links to Kerry's staff making an ambiguous press release about his being present in the Phoenix project meeting where they discussed assassinating U.S. Senators.
Excerpt:
""If there are valid FBI surveillance reports from credible sources that place some of those disagreements in Kansas City, we accept that historical footnote in the account of his work to end the difficult and divisive war," Wade said in a statement late last week."

Excerpt:
"Senator Kerry of Massachusetts yesterday retreated from his earlier steadfast denials that he attended a meeting of Vietnam Veterans Against the War at which a plan to assassinate U.S. Senators was debated.
The reversal came as new evidence, including reports from FBI informants, emerged that contradicted Mr. Kerrys previous statements about the gathering, which was held in Kansas City, Mo. in November 1971.

This is where this bunch is twisting in the wind...
They see this ad and these 200 + as part of the "political" campaign, and this is where they are making their big mistake.
This is not a political ad this is a PERSONAL ad by the Swift Vets.
JFKerry has not a clue, because many of we American have kept quiet with his lies and "commie" leanings. He has awakened a simmering "giant" and its not political this time it PERSONAL.

"The senior staff believes the media is committed to seeing us win this thing, and that the convention inoculated us from these kinds of stories. The senior guys really think we don't have a problem here." These "senior" clowns need to parse Clinton's FBI files on Kerry as well, before they so smugly conclude the press will be on their side throughout the campaign.
