Plane Crashes into World Trade Center

Just in. I am looking at a picture of the WTC with smoke pouring out of the western tower. Looks like a huge amount of damage. Debris raining down on people in the street.

He didn't word it terribly well, but taken in context with the rest of what he said, what he was trying to say was that America is still strong and not in danger, causing damage to some buildings in this country is not the same thing as damaging the strength of the nation.

THIS JUST IN, Fox news is reporting that one of the trade centers IS FALLING.

So, the story so far:
A Commuter flight was hijacked and crashed into tower one. There could be about 20-30 people on board.

An American Airlines 737 was hijacked from Boston and crashed minutes later into tower two. There could be 130-180 people aboard.

Fifty thousand people work in the twin towers. Assuming both planes hit midway with twenty-five thousand people above the impact points, the fires (and more deadly) the asphyxiating smoke could get a number of them. A wild-assed guess could be anywhere from five to fifteen thousand.

An attack on the Pentagon has occured and I have no idea what that did yet.

In short, someone has probably killed in the neighborhood of ten thousand Americans to make a point. Are you impressed?

The south tower was hit by the second plane in the middle, and has apparently collapsed under its own weight. Maybe the second plane was full of fuel, and the fire melted structural girders.

I am in NYC. The tower just collapsed. It is chaos here. People have been seen JUMPING out of the towers to try and save themselves. There is black ash falling all over the city. It is a nightmare that no one has ever dared dream. I am speechless.

Today is 911 Day: 9/11.

Words cannot express what is going thru our heads right now after watching that tower fall. That building is something that I, and in fact everyone in this country has known as a symbol for this great land of ours for our entire lives. And it just disintegrated on top of firemen, police, and civilians. Thousands are dead most likely. This is hell. Pray for us as we pray for you.
