Pinellas Pasco Judge Greer set October 15, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. for her feeding tube to be removed. There's something wrong with Florida's exit protocols and the way the courts handle new information re: criminality (misrepresentation, attempted murder, etc.) affecting a case. There was no living will, only the assertion of a very suspect, so-called husband, his brother, etc. that Terri would not want to live on life support. Terri is not on life support, she is not comatose or PVS and she is not living "artificially". She does get sustenance from a feeding tube but only because she has been denied rehabilitation by her so-called husband after he won a malpratice lawsuit three years after her collapse (cause unknown but probably due to strangulation or physical abuse, or both) which is why Terri needs an army of supporters to spread her story from coast to coast. Terri has retained rights that are being sidestepped because she is disabled and has been denied rehabilitation! The technologies of rehabilitation have greatly improved exponentially yet Judge Greer has not let Terri have a chance to learn to eat or to be able to learn to speak/communicate again. Also new information bearing on the case which shows criminality on husband's side has not been considered by the 2nd District Court of Appeals who handed down Mandate for termination of Terri's feeding based upon testimony of criminal husband and brother as above stated. Who is next?
Let's make a difference! Thank you for your efforts.

Ethan, is this "Winthrop Rockefeller" the former liberal Republican governor of AR (1967-71), or is this the current moderate Republican Lt. Governor in AR? I have never heard of this "Theosophical Society."
Sorry I missed some of your comments and questions.
After I posted, I wondered the same thing. The article is not dated but from this:
"...According to Ibarra (whose last name is an Americanized version of his dad's), his mother and father had a whirlwind romance and quickly married. The couple moved to South America and Ibarra was born in 1945. A few years later Guthrie met Winthrop Rockefeller, whose wealthy family had a large estate in Venezuela...."
..I guess I had the wrong Winthrop; it looks like the elder. If Winthrop Paul is one of the good ones, he should watch his back. The NWO have been known to turn on their own.
"I have never heard of this "Theosophical Society." "
I had heard of it, but did not know that much about it until this thread. Someone mentioned it, and I should remember who, because I addressed them, but I'm getting old and should be forgiven for my memory lapses (!), and I did a little research. I posted some of my findings earlier on this thread (can't be too far back).
"Thanks for this post. I had not heard of this view before, and how would one know this in the secular society thsat we inhabit if he were not a close student of the Bible?"
I'm no pillar of virtue. I only became a serious student of the Bible myself in the last couple of years. The Bible is the most awesome book. I learn new things every time I open it up. One thing I've come to realize is that the devil tries to counterfeit everything Jesus does. He's in a battle to the death with God. He was already defeated at the cross, but while he can still deceive men to come to his side, we will always have death and strife. When all knees willingly bow to Jesus, peace will break out, and blessings will be poured out on all mankind. Those who oppose God, oppose themselves.

even the Kennedys have a few prolife members: Arnold's mother-in-law Eunice Shriver, among them. And Patrick Kennedy, D-RI, a staunch true-believing liberal otherwise, voted for the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban.
I'm very glad to hear that.

"A judge in Clearwater, Fla., has set Oct. 15 as the date to begin the starvation death of Terri Schindler-Schiavo, the 39-year-old disabled woman whose husband and legal guardian, Michael Schiavo, is eager to remove the feeding tube his wife depends upon for sustenance....."

For anyone just tuning in for the first time:
From the WND article above:
"...An Aug. 26 request by Robert and Mary Schindler of Gulf Port, Fla., asking that their daughter be allowed an eight-week trial of speech, occupational and physical therapy, was rejected, along with a motion made Sept. 10 that Terri be taught to swallow food so she could be spoon-fed once the feeding tube is removed.
As WorldNetDaily reported, TERRI'S PARENTS HAVE BEEN FIGHTING WITH THEIR SON-IN-LAW FOR 10 YEARS OVER THE LACK OF CARE AND THERAPY HE HAS PROVIDED THEIR DAUGHTER, WHO SUFFERED MASSIVE BRAIN DAMAGE WHEN SHE COLLAPSED AT HER HOME 13 YEARS AGO UNDER MYSTERIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES AT THE AGE OF 26...."
"It is clear that Florida is not the state in which to get sick," said Patricia Anderson, the Schindlers' attorney. "This case demonstrates that we all need to be very, very careful in choosing a spouse. It is Mr. and Mrs. Schindler's firm belief that Terri could have been weaned off her feeding tube years ago and would be speaking today if Michael Schiavo had only cared enough about her to see to it she received the proper therapy."
Video Evidence from the Terri website:
"The following videos of Terri have been used as evidence in the court battle to save her life. By Florida law, a persistent vegetative state is defined as:
a) The absence of voluntary action or cognitive behavior of any kind
b) An inability to communicate or interact purposefully with the environment
These short clips give stunning testimony that Terri is NOT in a persistent vegetative state as prescribed by Florida law. These are the videos Michael Schiavo and George Felos attempted to have the courts BLOCK from the public view...."
Please have a look. I was against this killing on principle. Then I saw the videos. What is going on in Florida is unequivocally attempted murder. I like what another FReeper above has said: Terri is not dead yet, AND SHE WOULD LIKE A MEAL! (did I quote it right?)
This could be you, or your child, or your parent, or spouse, or sibling. It could be any one of us.

This is DAY THREE for Fla. AG Crist. He has not intervened. His date with destiny is October 6th. Three days to go. If he doesn't intervene, that will be a win for Terri right there imo. Felos may cry foul.

Jeb Bush is not meek as stated by another poster. At this juncture, with the Federal Case hanging in the balance in Tampa and Charlie Crist's invitation to intervene if he chooses by October 6th, Jeb Bush cannot LEGALLY do anything. Whether we like it or not, Bush is everyone's governor, even hubby's and attorney Felos. If Bush intervened when there was a Federal Court open case, Felos could cry fowl. Then maybe the aclu would show up. This would get even uglier and Terri would get lost in the shuffle.
The ball is in Crist's court at this time. If the Federal case takes a wrong turn, that would be the appropriate time for Jeb to call for a special session. Believe me, Jeb has received thousands of calls and emails. He's Worldwide Jeb.

September was Pain Awareness Month. Why don't we just do away with the real names of the months altogether? Instead of October, let's just call it Domestic Violence Month.
To: pc93
Today, MARY SCHIAVO, the former DOT Inspector General was on Fox News Channel. I asked early on if she was maybe a cousin of MICHAEL SCHIAVO. She's from Ohio for one thing. She's in the right age range to be his cousin.
Oh, great, a lady fell through an open drawbridge here in Florida today because the bridge operator didn't see her. Bummer.
To: Ethan_Allen
Jeb Bush absolutely cannot do anything at the moment. See my recent post above. Jeb and Crist are friends and they cannot even give an appearance that they are discussing, brainstorming, anything re: the Terri Schiavo matter. Jeb is receiving correspondence and calls but he cannot act at this time.
Bashing Jeb isn't going to help Terri. Jeb is an honorable guy.
To: Theodore R.
People from Florida aren't bashing Jeb Bush but non-Floridians who don't even know him are taking cheap shots at him. Jeb has a big heart and he's the first GOP Governor to be re-elected for decades. Please do some research on Jeb Bush before you bash him again. If you aren't from Florida, you don't know jack about Florida's GOP.
To: sfRummygirl
"What did you hear about a few years ago?" I just got here, it's the 3rd. I don't know what you meant.
I'm just waiting for the Bush bashing to stop in here. It's not helping Terri and Jeb's definitely not evil or derelict in his duties. When did bashing hubby's attorney turn into a Bush Bashing festival instead? Time to ignore Bush bashing posts. lol
To: freeparoundtheclock
What we were wondering is why Gov. Jeb Bush has not made Terri's fight a higher priority. Does he have no legal basis from which to proceed? Can he suspend George Greer for malfeasance? If he can do nothing, he should have said so long ago, explained his legal situation, and called the legislature into special session to correct this abuse. The email that I received from him was not encouraging: it called for us to respect "our courts."
It also seems that all the focus has been removed from Greer. He is like the canary who ate the cat now. I understand that he comes up for a "yes" or "no" vote in 2004. Is that correct?
To: Theodore R.
It seems to me that George W. Greer is guilty of malfeasance at the least in that he would not allow Terri to receive therapy of any kind. What kind of monster is this George W. Greer? Is he popular in Pinellas Co.? If so, why?
To: freeparoundtheclock
There is now less than 12 full days to stop the starvation order, and I am not optimistic that we can do so. I still fear that the federal judge -- one week from this hour in fact -- may declare that he has no jurisdiction over the matter.
Why can't George W. Greer face sanctions for not allowing therapy? That issue never seems to be addressed.
To: Theodore R.
I could be quite wrong, but I think that's what's going on with this case being before Fed. Judge Lazarra. If he finds that Terri's rights were being violated by Schiavo and Greer, then I expect there could be repercussions for Greer, and Schiavo, too.

So, this means that he is entering the case, right? On Schiavo's side? I'm trying hard to remain positive, but after reading it, it seems like there is only a little hope left. It does seem that the AG may have given Anderson something to argue for in future proceedings (near the end). Am I correct in my assessment? These legal papers are difficult for me to decipher.
Extra prayers for Terri and her family!!!
To: Theodore R.
When Greer is up for reelection, I will move to Florida, become a resident, mount a campaign against him. Hopefully, however, he will either be in jail or a mental institution by that time because of this case!
