Just in. I am looking at a picture of the WTC with smoke pouring out of the western tower. Looks like a huge amount of damage. Debris raining down on people in the street.

Im glad our grandparents didnt stand around after pearl harbor reading names. Instead the rebuilt that navy and went over and beat the japanese over the head with it.

They were fortunate that day, thank goodness.
The sight of the falling bodies is always with them, however.

I attended an absolutely beautiful 911 ceremony that is held annually at the Pelco Company grounds in Clovis, CA. There were hundreds that attended. Fire, police, city officials and all branches of the military were present. They also had a fly over by 3 helicopters. Police and military officers that were killed this year, in the line of duty, were also honored and remembered . Many tears. They also have a small museum housed in their facility. Thank you Pelco,

When the Obama regime is finally forced to release photos of the dead Bin Laden, they should be posted here for posterity.
Prayers for all of those thousands of American families who still mourn the loss of their loved ones on 9-11-2001.
And for the thousands of families who mourn the loss of their loved ones in the fight against the jihadists since 9-11.

FReeper Catspaw was the first to call it. Too bad, he hasn’t posted since 2005.

Just a little poem, from the heart, on what is a somber weekend for me personally, and for my country:
The Man of sorrows, acquainted with grief
Whether taken by violence
Or by sickness or disease
I mourn them still
And every scrap of memory seize
Funny, but it's the little things
That I still miss so
I can hear them laugh
And my tears flow
It's a cruel world
It doesn't seem fair
I want them back
Even for a moment
Their absence is hard to bear
But God's grace is sufficient
To save me from my grief
To rescue me from my fall
Out of love He came and bore it
He has conquered
He is risen
He is greater than all
-- Tom Hoefling, Sept. 11, 2011
"He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not." -- Isaiah 53:3
