The Left doesn’t trust the military (they are still antiwar), and now the Right doesn’t trust it. A perfect storm.
Vaccine mandates. Wokeness. The Afghanistan withdrawal. Janet Napolitano calling Afghanistan and Iraq veterans potential domestic terrorists. Can’t see why they would have recruiting issues. 🤔

You’re correct and in addition to the reasons you stated, young people today who might enlist are probably looking a recent history of 2 wars lasting nearly 20 years and how casually the USA walked away from both in a disorganized and embarrassing way.
They saw how casually the Biden, Milley and many others in the government and military leadership reacted to the debacle in Afghanistan and said, I don’t want any part of that.
I certainly would not recommend kids join today. But, a lot of them have been so indoc’d since birth that they find a lot of this, what we call 🐂💩, perfectly acceptable. Notice the cucks joining their uh, ‘partners’ at the PROtests? On the surface one would think they are normal but.....NOPE! And, it ain’t just the youngsters. I know a couple of vets that are so hard core lib to the point of abusrdity. And pointless to bother arguing with. Reason? Of course, putin.
I joined the Army in 1978, so Carter was ‘my’ President at the time. However, that was quickly changed by 8 GLORIOUS years of President Reagan.
Then, Clinton. Ugh! We lost a LOT Of Senior NCOs and Captains during those years. That was the beginning of the end. Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell. I know - I processed their discharges. Those are the ranks that leave because they don’t have too much time invested (if you’re in 15 already, you’ll normally stay until 20) and they are the ranks that really run the military.

As A Vietnam combat vet, I am disgusted and sickened by all this.
There are many in our military who suffered and sacrificed through multiple tours in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere and they are subjecting them to all this. Many only have a short time before they can retire and they require them to take the dangerous jabs and subject them the the Woke BS, etc. It is a travesty.

WHITE MEN.
Among them even what area of the country long venerated the military, held it to be an honorable profession - even among the wealthy - and was most patriotic? That would be the South.
Who do the Wokeratti hate above all others? Who do they constantly demonize at every turn? White (Southern) men.
Take a wild guess who’s not so eager to join an organization that has made it quite clear it hates them...that it will not have their back, that it will single them out for discriminatory treatment and constant insults.
Gosh, I just can’t figure why the military can’t even come close to meeting its recruiting targets all of a sudden.

The US military is now like those woke corporations which went out of its way to piss off its customers and is now shocked to see its sales and its stock price plummeting. You have to really try and work at it to be that stupid.
